The Plumeria is a beautiful garden level 2 bedroom apartment just one block from the magnificent two-mile crescent beach at world-renowned Hanalei Bay.

The furnishings, amenities, and setting make it a wonderful vacation home from which to enjoy the wonders of Kauai's North Shore.

Within a ten-minute drive you will find numerous beautiful beaches and a huge variety of activities to keep you busy. A two-minute walk from the house is magnificent Hanalei Bay and its famous, white-sand beach. A short stroll will bring you to quaint, historic, downtown Hanalei, with its wonderful array of restaurants, shops, and galleries.

The apartment is on the garden level of a larger home, Maluhia Hanalei, VRBO listing 10087. At the end of a cul-de-sac, set back off the road, and down a long driveway on a wonderfully landscaped quarter acre adjacent to a conservation area it is extremely private and quiet. The setting is lush, green, very secluded, and yet only a block to the beach and a five-minute walk into town. An ideal location.

The Plumeria Suite will accommodate up to 4 guests. . It has two bedrooms with a king bed and a queen bed, living room, dining area, full kitchen, and full bath for up to an additional 4 guests. It has a private lanai opening onto the gardens in the back, and an outdoor shower in addition to the full bath inside.

The house is beautifully decorated and fully equipped.

Guests will enjoy the wonderful outdoor shower, the myriad birds in the trees, the wonderful sunrises and sunsets, the lush foliage and flowers everywhere, and the complete privacy and seclusion.

My travels have taken me all over the world, but Kauai always drew me back. Hanalei and the north shore of Kauai will never change, never be developed, never have hotels, condos, or very much tourist infrastructure. This most beautiful spot is protected and secure in it's beauty and appeal. What better spot to have a home to come to and to share with others.

What makes this apartment unique

My home is not only beautiful, charming, comfortable and inviting, but also very private and secluded, surrounded by beautiful gardens, and adjacent to a tropical hardwood forest. The foliage, the flowers, the birds, the sunrise, the relaxation of this wonderful environment, combined with the beach at Hanalei Bay and Hanalei town both being a very short walk from the house make it the ideal spot for the ultimate getaway.

Amazing retreat!

My husband and I went to Hanalei for the first three nights of our trip to Kauai, and our only regret is that we didn't stay at Marney's place for the duration of our vacation!! We booked this place last minute and could not believe our luck! We also felt very fortunate that the entire house was empty and we know our experience, while still tranquil and peaceful, may have been a little bit different. Regardless, the house was in a quiet neighborhood and at the end of the cul-de-sac. It was only a block away from the Hanalei Pavilion which made it easy to run back to the house if we forgot anything once at the beach. The house had two bedrooms with ceiling fans, a private lanai, and an outdoor cooking stove. The outdoor shower was also located on the side of the lanai which made it so easy to clean off after coming home from the beach! The kitchen was equipped with some cooking amentieis which makes it convenient for those passing through. Additionally, the house was equipped with all the beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers that one could ask for! It made visiting Hanalei bay and the other beaches nearby a breeze!

We cannot wait to head back to Hanalei and bring our entire family to rent out the two bedroom, as well as the rest of the house!

Excellent property - great location - great to deal with

My wife and I sayed in Marnie's two-bedroom downstairs unit at Hanalei Bay, and had a great experience. The unit is in a great, quiet, and beautiful neighborhood, with only a 1-2 minute walk to the beach. The unit is in great shape - very well decorated with all the comforts we need to make our stay perfect. And the beds and pillows were very comfortable, something that we have not found in most other beachouses we've rented. The location is perfect - close to the beach, and only a 3 minute walk to the Hanalei town center. The walking made my wife and I feel less guilty about all the great food we ate in Hanalei each night. Marnie was a pleasure to deal with - everything worked out perfectly for us. We would definitely book here again when we return to Kauai!

Beautiful rental with very close beach access

My husband and I stayed in the Plumeria 2 bedroom downstairs unit in this house. We had a wonderful time, and the relaxing environment of Hanalei was infectious! You can easily walk to the beach (just a short stroll down the residential street to a very close beach access). Hanalei is a beautiful, relaxed, quirky town with cute shops and restaurants. I would come back in a heartbeat and stay in this rental. The only drawback was that there wasn't any air conditioning (which seemed pretty common here), but the fans in the house made it manageable. We also had a wetter-than-normal week of weather (which probably didn't help). Marney has everything you need to enjoy your vacation (towls, laundry/supplies, beach chairs, boogie boards (and many other ocean toys), full kitchen & utensils, bug spray/candels, clothes line, patio chairs, etc. We were there while the other units in the house were occupied (seemed to be another downstairs unit and one upstairs unit). We felt like we had plenty of privacy, and the other renters were respectful, and, for the most part, our paths didn't cross. If you are thinking of coming to Kauai, I would highly recommend staying in this rental in Hanalei. It is quite a drive to the south shore, so if you plan to do a lot of sight seeing, It may be wise to split your time between a rental in the north and one in the south so you don't feel like you're spending all of your time in the car.

Loved this place!

My husband and I were happily surprised when we arrived at the Plumeria Suite. The suite was perfect for the 2 of us, close to the beach and town, the bikes, comfortable bed, clean and the beach cart was so convenient. At first we were dreading anyone staying upstairs but we didn't even notice them. The caretakers of the property were very pleasant and kept the property up nicely. We are hopefully returning this Fall and my friends and I will be staying upstairs at the end of Oct.. So happy to have found this place. Thank you Marney!

Great location. Great Vacation Home.

We've stayed twice at the Plumeria Suite. The location is great because is close to the beach, close to town, and close to Pat's Taco Truck. The two bedroom apartment is comfortably appointed, very clean and has a very private feeling. The lanai is faces a lush tropical landscape. My wife took many photos of the grounds, and one of those is her desktop image.

Being so close to Hanalei Bay is a real treat because you can swim with Puff the Magic Dragon. (You have to be there to truly experience it.)

The kitchen is set up with all the necessary tools, and there's a brand new gas grill to cook outdoors.

There are plenty of beach goodies that are available for guests to use, mats, umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards and more. It saves visitors from needing to pack and carry these things on their own.

There are two showers in the suite, one spacious "rain shower" in the bathroom, and a refreshing outdoors shower, which is a real treat.

Marney Craig, the owner is attentive and responds quickly and professionally. She maintains the property impeccably.

We highly recommend staying at the Plumeria suite, and look forward to staying again. It's an ideal house in an ideal location, and would be a great choice for most anyone. It has been the home base for two paradisical vacations for us.

This apartment is only available with the main house during the Christmas/ New Years season but can be rented separately at any other time of the year.

We do not charge a booking fee.
