This is a very special place! The home is part of The Barrio de Tubac, a planned community of upscale homes, beautiful walkways and landscaping, and adjacent to the village. You will be a short walk from the historic village of Tubac - famed for its boutique shops, art galleries, restaurants and friendly people. Also very close by is a great local grocery, featuring fresh fish, meats, a deli, organic produce, wine and lots of freshly-made gourmet treats. The Italian Peasant, a fabulous New-York-style Pizzeria and restaurant, is next to the store and, in additional to it's normal fare, presents a monthly opera night!
The home sits on a lot that backs to the Bosque - a Mesquite Forest - affording a tremendous amount of privacy and lovely views. Just beyond the backyard is a unique water feature which adds to the tranquil ambiance. The back patio is a great place for morning coffee or evening relaxation.
The master bedroom with en suite bath is at the back of the home and overlooks the patio. The guest bedroom is off the front and has a trundle bed which makes up into two twins or a king. It also has its own bath with shower.
The floor plan is open and inviting. Off the kitchen is a spacious 2-car garage. The kitchen opens to the living/dining room and has a large pantry, plenty of counter space and new appliances. The living/dining area features lovely outdoor views and a kiva-style fireplace. Warm colors are used throughout the home, and it's been lovingly decorated with authentic Mexican works of art.
Also a short walk away is the community clubhouse and pool. The pool is heated year-round. Membership is an additional $100 per month.
The Barrio de Tubac abuts the De Anza Trail, which is miles long and follows the Santa Cruz River. Managed by the National Parks system, this is a great place to birdwatch, bike, hike or commune with nature.
Within a 15-minute drive north or south, there are several top-rated golf courses, more restaurants and larger grocery stores. The Tubac Golf Resort, even closer, has a challenging and scenic course, a relaxing spa and fine dining.
Come see why this home is one the the best Tubac has to offer.
What a wonderful southwest home! Very comfortable and nicely appointed. Close to village and convenient for walking and bicycle riding. Enjoyed the great selection of books and outdoor patio looking onto nice common grounds. Owners and management very accommodating.
It had everything, plus very attractive Southwest decor and an extensive selection of good books. The outdoor patio was our favorite feature, with multi-colored tile tables, beautiful trees and flowers, great decorative pieces, a busy hummingbird feeder, and lots of sun, shade, and privacy. We spent many happy hours out there. Walking distance to Tubac shops and restaurants. Great spot.
Nice layout and very convenient to the shops in Tubac. Very nice owners. The gas fireplace was an inviting, warm pleasure we took advantage of each evening!
