So much fun!

  • 5 of 5

House was amazing and lake was perfect. It's very hard to find anything negative to say about it. Second refrigerator down stairs was not working properly. Aside from the lake level being a little low, due to going in September, the trip was definitely one we'll be trying to plan again soon. Thanks!

Perfect name for the Perfect place!!

  • 5 of 5

The name says it all, PERFECT. This was a great house, lake and location. We had a large family 18 of us and we all fit perfect. Large living room, basement and kitchen. The kitchen has everything you need. Loved the cabinet in the kitchen with spices , oils, flour, syrup, etc. the sticker on cabinet says Use a little leave a little!! The owner Andrew was very easy to work with and would answer questions by phone and email as soon as he could. We were told by neighbors that we picked to perfect location on the lake and the time of the year!! It is a walk down and up to lake but no more than any other houses on the lake. Pretty close to the marina's also. We would rent this house next time we are going to Norris Lake. Great Find!

Cluckey extended family

  • 5 of 5

Great time was had by all! We had "perfect days." Plenty of space for everyone. Clean and comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with every cooking item you could need. Nice ramp and steps to dock. Owner responded quickly to emails. No cell service and limited Wi-Fi but comfortable living room to relax and watch cable after long day on lake. First time at Norris lake but will be back.

Tucked away perfectly on the popular side of the lake.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week staying here. We were three families, each with two children. The two bunk rooms were perfect for the kids and they were all very comfortable. The two bedrooms in the basement don't have windows which worked out very well because I am an up at the crack of dawn type person. After all, I was on vacation and it felt good to sleep in a little bit. The photos and descriptions are accurate and the kitchen is very well supplied with pans and utensils. We cooked every meal at the house and never found that we needed something that was not there. I did contact the owner once through the week for a very minor thing and he arranged a maintenance person the next day. He is very responsive and a really nice person to talk to. I would recommend this house and would like to stay there again. Thanks Andrew.

Excellent vacation property with great location

  • 5 of 5

I rented this property to enjoy a week-long lake vacation with family in July and it certainly didn't disappoint. The owner's description of the property was very accurate. We found the home to be spacious for the 18 people in my family who were there. We especially liked that large dining table where we could sit to enjoy dinner. One important feature not disclosed by the owner is the water heater. We often find that the last few people taking a shower after getting off the lake in the afternoon prior to dinner have little, if any, hot water. This house had plenty of hot water so no one had to take a cold shower. We did find the internet to be a bit slow in a house full of people who are on their tablets, laptops, and smartphones a lot; however, we were informed of this prior to arriving at the house and expected it. We had a couple questions upon arriving at the property and emailed the owner who replied very promptly. We would definitely stay at this house again.

The Perfect Holiday Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We spent Thanksgiving at Perfect Daze with 3 adults and 7 kids ranging from ages 6 to 15. The layout of the house was perfect for our group. The teens laid claim to the basement and enjoyed having their own space. They made good use of the pool table and game system. The younger kids loved the bunk rooms in the upper level of the house. The adults laid claim to the deck on the main floor, which has a great view of the cove.

We prepared a full Thanksgiving dinner and found everything we needed in the kitchen. All the basic cooking implements were available. The kitchen is large with plenty of counter space. The table seated our group comfortably, meaning every child got a free upgrade from the traditional kids' table.

The description of the house and amenities are accurate. The pictures are current.

Tips From Us:

Don't count on cell service. Verizon could get a bar or two of service from the drive, but AT&T was sporadic at best. Neither company provides a strong enough signal for a data connection or texting. There is wi-fi in the house, but it isn't very fast. The teenagers in our group thought they were going to die. They didn't. :)

The roads between the house and the main highway are full of twists and curves. We had our kids put away their books and electronic devices to avoid carsickness. If you're bringing a boat, launch it before you get to the cabin. It'll make things easier. Fortunately the driveway at the cabin is a pull-through drive so you won't have to worry about backing a trailer into it.

Before you go, load up your electronic device with music, buy yourself a Bluetooth speaker, and enjoy some music while taking in the view of the lake.

Don't forget to pack extra toilet paper. :)

Bring detergent for the dishwasher.

Don't forget a hair dryer.

If you enjoy beer or wine, buy it before you head down. Most counties in Tennessee prohibit or restrict the sale of alcohol. A beer run could take a couple of hours out of your vacation.

The shoreline is rocky. Bring water shoes if you plan to swim. The water level had already been drawn down for the winter so we took the opportunity to hike the shoreline. If you're going to swim during the summer expect to swim from the boat dock. The water gets deep quickly so don't expect to find a beach where you can wade around. Bring inner tubes and rafts to float on.

Nearest Motorway
15 Miles
I75 (Address: 1421 Big Creek Rd, La Follette)

Sequoyah, Whitman Hollow, Norris Dam and Shanghai marinas are close by with houseboat, ski/runabout and pontoon boat along with Jet Ski rentals. We love going to Sequoyah Marina for dinner and drinks. Check out their breakfast buffet, wing nights & drink specials (seasonal availability)

Take an hour drive and explore the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, Dollywood theme park, Pigeon Forge, TN and Gatlinburg, TN. Located in a ridge and valley region, Norris Lake abounds in secluded coves. Recreational use of the reservoir exceeds that of any other tributary lake. Lake Norris is a great place for fishing, boating, swimming, and other water sports. Nestled between East Tennessee ridges, Norris Lake points the way to Cumberland Gap and the historic wilderness trail marked by Daniel Boone. With its clear deep water, it produces excellent catches of rock fish, walleye, and bass, as well as the usual species found in other area lakes. June through September night fishing for small mouth bass, croppie, white bass and walleye is a popular activity. If the kids get tired of all the excitement on the lake or you get tired of grilling out on the deck, or eating at Nearby Sequoyah marina, make the 20-minute drive into charming downtown LaFollette and catch a movie at the local cinema or grab a bite at one of the restaurants.
