The bathrooms have been totally renovated to provide state-of-the-art fixtures, tastefully blended to fit in with the house. The large kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs and decorated to feel like you are sitting in the south of France.
Double courtyards offer private outdoor space and dining both containing fountains, plants, and flowers. There are beautiful wrought iron gates that lock for security and privacy, an outdoor lighting system for an easy entry after an evening out, and a home security system. There is parking inside the gate or directly outside the gate on the street for your convenience should you need your car. This is our dream house. We've always loved Charleston and visited nearly every year. We bought the house earlier this year and plan on retiring here eventually. When we're here at Trott's Cottage, we enjoy all that downtown Charleston has to offer. Now our guests can do the same.
We love historic homes and this house is one of the most interesting in Charleston. It is steeped in history.
We had a BLAST in this comfortable home. There is plenty of space to enjoy all that the home has to offer. We spent every evening in the courtyards enjoying wine and the sounds of the peaceful fountains. You are within walking distance of ANYTHING and although we had our vehicle it wasn't needed one bit! You are perfectly situated between King and East Bay Streets for some shopping or your choice of any delicious restaurant. Our favorite is High Cotton and you MUST try the coconut cake from Peninsula Grill. We will definitely be renting this home again in the near future.
This house has everything - historical charm and modern comfort. It is perfectly located in Charleston and is equipped with everything we needed. Easy walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, beautiful homes and gardens. The owner is very easy to deal with. It made for a wonderful stay in a wonderful city.
My husband and I rented this lovely historic home for a week in March. Our son in a freshman in the College of Charleston. We loved the home's design, location and many anemities. The owners were very nice, as well.
