We have purchased this cottage and have remodeled it to our expectations and have had many great weekend getaways with our 4 children. Taking time to enjoy the local wineries that are within minutes of the area is such a fantastic way to relax and enjoy our time together. Being that this cottage originally was intended for owner occupancy, every detail, furnishings and bedding are of most quality and comfort.
Dave Panzera purchased this cottage in 2011
This cottage has been completely remodeled inside. The open floor plan allows for views of the lake from the kitchen and an adjacent living room. New stairs to the lakefront beach area for fantastic sunsets and plenty of beach frontage for enjoying the waters edge, kayaking or swimming.
This cottage has a very large lot (about an acre) ample parking for easy access. Unlike many cottages on Seneca Lake, You will find that although it is very secluded on a private drive, You will find yourself very close to many local attractions, shopping centers and Vineyards. The location is perfect as Belhurst Castle and Geneva on the Lake are directly across from the property. The North End of the Lake is where you want to be.
It was a beautiful Fall weekend and our family decided to visit the Finger Lakes region of New York. My wife, who is a great trip planner, found us the most perfect cottage overlooking Seneca Lake in Geneva (the north end of the lake). We used this as our home base from which to explore the region. Over the course of four days we hiked the gorge in Watkins Glen, drove the track at the International Speedway, partied at some of the many wineries that surround the lake, enjoyed an outdoor festival with live music in downtown Geneva and then came back to the cottage to relax and unwind. Our initial reaction upon entering the cottage was how incredibly clean and new everything was. Dave, the owner, bent over backwards to accommodate us when we had some car trouble, then I left my suitcase there and he made sure it was returned to me. I don't think you could find a better cottage or more helpful host and would absolutely rent there again.
My 3 sisters and I all enjoyed our stay at Bella Vita. After day trips and wine tastings, we were so happy to return to our temporary home. We had great evenings out back, enjoying the setting sun, which was magnificent as it set on Seneca Lake. The neighborhood was a very quiet place, which we all enjoy. The beach area was visited daily, I even learned to skip rocks! The picnic table, fire ring, and chairs got lots of use. We enjoyed the back yard every evening there. The water being so close was such a treat, we watched crew teams, sailboats, motor boats and jet skis, one evening my sisters, 2 of them, even tried to coax a small sailboat close enough to ask for a ride! Bella Vita made a great place to come home to. Very clean, very cozy, and a place that felt like home. As this was my year to choose our annual "sister vacation" destination, I got lots of thanks and praise for finding Bella Vita. I am trying to convince my husband that he needs to visit your lovely area with me, so we may have to rent it again some day. As a die hard home body, he is giving it some thought after seeing our many, many photos. This place is well worth renting.
Very much enjoyed our stay at Bella Vita. Lovely view of the lake close to wineries but private. Very nice neighbors that we talked to. Even though it rained every day we found lots to do. Very clean and would recommend to anyone to stay here.
Open floor plan modern home with a beautiful view of the lake. The house was clean and I especially liked that there were basic supplies available (extra Kleenex, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, etc.). The gas grill is newer and grilled our steaks to perfection. The home is close to Geneva and Waterloo so there are restaurants and grocery shopping nearby, as well as many wonderful wineries. There are plenty of towels and washcloths, although no hand towels. Overall, it was a great home, the owner was available to answer questions and I could recommend this rental with absolutely no hesitation.

This cottage is well cared for, clean, updated, and very comfortable. The owners certainly attended to detail with the cozy decor, well-appointed kitchen, and other amenities. Air conditioning was a blessing with the 90 degree+ heat each day of our stay. The space was perfect for our family of 5 to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The view of the lake and sunsets was gorgeous! The area is quiet, the yard is spacious, and offers plenty of seating for outdoor meals and evenings around the fire pit. We would absolutely recommend the Bella Vita, and would love to stay again sometime!
We found this cottage to be very clean and modern with a fantastic layout for two couples, each with a toddler-aged daughter. The living space is open, airy, and bright, and the views from the lake side of the house are outstanding. The owner was helpful in every way, and we would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. The two little girls loved the nearby splash park and swimming in the lake from the cottage's beach.
Just one mile from Ventosa Vinyards.
Marina and crow's Nest restaurant less than 2 miles away.
Just minutes to the Lakefront Park on the North end of Seneca Lake.
