The self-catering bungalow, apartment and mobile homes are adjacent to olive groves and woodland, and yet only a 5 minute (3km) drive from the sandy beaches and marina village/town of L'Ampolla which sits on the edge of the fascinating wetland conservation area, the Ebro Delta. It is here where the 'paella' rice is grown and where pink flamingos have made their home. The 2 comfortable, well appointed mobile homes are situated in their own private garden area, which includes a shared barbecue, separate vehicle access and adjacent pool. Our well equipped first floor studio apartment with its own private terrace and barbecue, boasts lovely views to the Mediterranean and Delta to the front and over seemingly endless olive groves to the mountains at the rear. The 3 bedroom bungalow/chalet has a spacious lounge/diner opening onto its own terrace, BBQ and private garden area. We have horses, goats, chickens and other small animals and birds. All accommodations have Wi-Fi access.

The converted chalet/bungalow comprises three bedrooms, a double, twin and a small family bedroom with 3 beds (a single and bunk beds). It has a large lounge with dining area. Patio doors lead out to the terrace, barbecue and private enclosed garden. Leading off from the lounge through an arch is the fully fitted, well equipped kitchen. Each bedroom has 3 speed ceiling fans. The lounge has air-conditioning. Satellite TV has English, French and European channels. We have recently added wi-fi internet access. Car access to the bungalow from the road is via the Mobile-home area, with parking space outside the bungalow for one car. Additional vehicles can be safely parked in the road.

Great place to stay, especially if you've a dog...

Excellent bungalow with plenty of space and a nice private back garden. Parking couldn't be better, neither could the situation - secure, and, being at the end of the road, very quiet and peaceful. Carol and John are excellent hosts. And if you have a dog it's perfect.

Great place to stay!

We all very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again! It was easy to find and John and Carol were very friendly and a great help.

There are plenty of places in the area round about, and lots to see. You don't have to travel far to find lovely and interesting places to visit.

Many good Supermarkets to be found and shops if you would like to bring home some nice souvenir's.

It is great for all animal lovers, and the horse riding was good for younger visitors. Everyone loved the dogs, Jasper and Poppy, as they were really friendly and made you feel at home.

The pool was also a great place to stay and cool down in the evenings and big enough for everyone to enjoy.

All in all we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it to others!

Un excellent séjour à l'Ampolla

La maison (qui fait quand même 80 m2 donc c'est une vraie maison) est parfaitement équipée pour accueillir 2 couples avec des enfants. C'est propre et spacieux avec une terrasse privative très agréable (malgré les moustiques). La cuisine est très bien équipée avec un véritable frigo congélateur adapté à deux familles, toute la vaisselle nécessaire et même un lave-vaisselle. Draps et serviettes de toilette sont fournies ce qui allège considérablement les valises et sur place, il y a une machine à laver. Les propriétaires sont charmants et discrets. Ils ont amené mon neveu ramasser les oeufs des poules et proposer à mes enfants de caresser leurs chevaux. La présence de tous leurs animaux est un plus pour les petits qui ont particulièrement aimé la volière avec cochons d'inde et perruches.

Nous avons également bien profité de la piscine et de la mer située pas très loin et facilement accessible en voiture. Les plages sont grandes et peu peuplées, c'est très agréable.

Nous y sommes restés une semaine et il faisait environ 30 degrés donc c'était le temps idéal, ni trop chaud ni trop froid avec une mer très chaude. Dans la maison nous avons très bien dormi sans souffrir de la chaleur.

Une très belle semaine à l'Ampolla

Pas de mauvaise surprise : la maison (facile à trouver même sans GPS avec les explications de John et Caroll) est telle que décrite et vue sur les photos. L'équipement est simple mais bien pensé, rien ne nous a manqué.Le petit jardin/terrasse est très agréable et sans vis à vis, ensoleillée dès le matin pour des petits déjeuners en plein air même fin mars ! Les propriétaires sont accueillants et discrets (des petites attentions : des oeufs du poulailler offerts, la TV préréglée pour les chaînes françaises etc ...) et la région offre de multiples plaisirs à ceux qui aiment aussi bien la mer que la montagne. De magnifiques randonnées dans un rayon de 15 à 30 km, visites etc ...

Seuls (petits) bémols : pas mal de vent (mais chaud !) dans cette région et un coq 1 peu matinal pour ceux qui ont le sommeil léger.

Pour notre part : une très bonne semaine à un coût très raisonnable !!!!

Herrlicher Entspannungsurlaub

Hübsches kleines Ferienhaus in schöner, ruhiger Lage. Ausstattung war völlig in Ordnung, einfach, aber gepflegt. Die Vermieter waren super nett, auch bei kleinen Problemen mit unserem Auto hat uns John sofort geholfen. Und der Ausritt mit Carol war sehr lustig! Danke euch beiden!!

Für den Aufenthalt ist ein Auto unerlässlich, besonders empfehlenswert ist ein Ausflug auf das Delta del Ebro! Dort kann man auch an langen Sandstränden in Ruhe baden!

calme et détente garantie

dans un endroit calme au milieu des oliviers avec vue sur les montagnes ,à proximité de la mer, d'un côté avec ses criques et petites plages "idéal pour faire du naturisme" de l'autre côté la ville de l' ampolla ,la ville est tranquille à cette saison , ses grandes plages ,les environs sont a découvrir ,le delta de l'ebre avec son parc naturel ,et ses colonies d'oiseaux , les rizières impressionnantes de grandeur;

Jonh et son épouse vous recoivent gentiment et vous renseignent simplement sur les choses à voir dans la région

vous pourrez déguster les oeufs de leurs poules ... enfin quoi le bonheur dans la simplicité ;

n'ayez aucune hésitation à y aller .

Notes:
The air-conditioning unit is in the lounge/dining area and the bedrooms have ceiling fans. The outdoor pool (available between May and September) is 7m x 3.5m in size and 1.2m in depth and shared with our other guests. There are outdoor sun loungers and a brick built barbecue on the terrace overlooking an enclosed private garden. The bungalow is situated on a smallholding with two horses and a variety of small animals including one goats called Georgina, a sheep called Geraldine, chickens guinea pigs, cats, a dog called Poppy and a large bird aviary. A washing machine is available for use.
