Enjoy the views while relaxing at the bar, dining room table, or kitchen nook. Open floor plan from kitchen to living room where there is plenty of comfortable seating, large screen TV, and picture window over the water. Large grass yard with room to play or visit. Across the street a paved pedestrian trail follows the waterfront into town. The house is pet friendly and includes a dog run out the back door, a spacious laundry next to the kitchen, and off street parking for three cars.

Why Andy Garrett chose Puget Sound

I love the location of this home, with the daily cycle of foot ferry running from Port Orchard to the Bremerton terminal and the big ferry going to and from Seattle. Open the window or step outside and you'll hear the gulls and see the flocks of ducks on the water. You will often hear sea lions from across the bay and always the scent of salt water.

What makes this house unique

I enjoy bicycling and this house sits right on one of my favorite routes. Indeed, it is a popular year-round biking destination because of local waterfront and rural paved roads. The location makes the house a great hub for day trips. The local foot ferry is about a mile and a half away and it travels all day Monday through Saturday to the Bremerton ferry terminal. There's live music on weekends just a couple blocks away at the Blue Goose and good restaurants within walking distance.

Quaint Home Near Bremerton Ferry

This home was the perfect size for our 3 person group. It's a great location outside of Seattle with an hour ferry ride to the city. We would stay again at this location, however it was hot the day we got there and the house was very hot because all the windows were closed all day - lots of windows on this house means the hot sun is beating in all day. It would have been nice if the house would have been aired out before we got there, but Andy was QUICK to respond to my inquiry about air conditioning, and explained the windows needed to be opened.

We opened the windows - many didn't have screens in them so keep that in mind when you stay here because it is a ground level home with large open windows. We had to put some of the screens in ourselves. 1 of the blinds didn't work in the bedroom so the lights from the base were a bit bright all night. And the blind in the dining area broke when we tried to open it to open the window.

There was a note on the table when we got there indicating the towels were in the dryer. There was a note above the dishwasher explaining it wasn't working either.

We mopped and vacuumed the 2nd day our stay - as well as cleaned out the microwave from a previous tenant's spaghetti dinner.

I would stay here again- but if you are looking for a place that is pristine this one needs some TLC.

Get away from it all and enjoy the view

This property was a short walk from downtown Port Orchard, the foot ferry, and playground. It met our needs and provided us with a quiet, relaxing place to stay after our busy days in the area. While there is a dog run, there is also a side and upper yard for the kids to play in. We enjoyed the view of the Bremerton ship yard. This home is comfortable and well equipped.

funky but great

The property needs TLC. Having said that, it was perfect for us. If you are expecting pristine accommodations you will be disappointed. If you want a great view, close to town, pet friendly, great neighbors and very inexpensive, this is the place. Thanks

Amazingly wonderful

This home was perfect for our family. It is right on the water with a great view of the naval yard, which was the reason for our visit. We were visiting (5) of us, my sister who is in the navy. The house had plenty of room for us and we even had her and her husband over and still had enough space. We slept all 5 comfortably and could have had a 6th if needed.

I highly recommend this house and Andy the owner was very helpful with any ?'s I had while planning this trip. Thanks for opening your home to us.

very charming

we found our stay very special. the owner was flexible on the dates and provided all the comforts of home. It was very spacious and even had a dog run. It was nice to be able to take walks with the family along the beach and location was great for where we needed to be

The local foot ferry delivers you to the Bremerton/Seattle ferry (drive on or walk aboard), which travels to downtown Seattle just two blocks from Pike Street Market, downtown shopping, Seattle Art Museum, Benaroya Hall, theater. If you kayak or surf try Crescent Beach just a couple hours away on the Hood Canal. For stunning mountain views drive 90 minutes to Hurrican Ridge and relax at the visitor center or do an easy hike.

  • The front bedroom has a pair of corner windows. Both bedrooms have queen beds with sleighbed head and foot boards which were chosen for the comfort they offer to those who like to sit up in bed and read or receive breakfast. The rear bedroom is very quiet. Both closets have wood lined walls. Very unique.
