We are life-long residents of the Lake Minnetonka area and live near the property. This is our summer cabin and we use it as much as we can.
Angela or Jason Alvig purchased this cabin in 2012
We fell in love with this properly because it had amazing panoramic views of Lake Minnetonka, coupled with a unique wooded setting on a huge lot. It makes us feel like we are 'up north' while being only minutes from our home in the suburbs of Minneapolis/St. Paul. We remodeled the cabin to make it cozy and comfortable for our family and we thoroughly enjoy our time spent there in the summer. The minute we pull into the driveway we feel relaxed.

Large wooded lot with privacy
150 feet of lake front; sandy bottom and sand beach
Big driveway, plenty of off street parking

Lake Minnetonka - Quiet on the week days, and 'the place to be' on the weekends.
We had a fantastic weekend. Jason and Angela made everything very easy. There was always something to do at the cabin (yard games, kayaks, swimming) and in the evening we could adventure out to a little night life around the lake.
We enjoyed it all! The home was comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. The bathrooms were adequate and appreciated the bonus of having a very accessible laundry room. With the kayaks, paddle boat, own beach and plenty of yard to play in, we couldn't have asked for more. Hosts are friendly and very accommodating!
We would highly recommend this property!
With two sitting rooms and two patios, our family members could have private time as needed during the week. The two kayaks were in use daily and the kids enjoyed the little beach. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked.
Excellent stay! Jason and Angela provided a wonderful trip with everything you could need for a weekend on the lake. The house is in great condition and is in a perfect spot on the lake with amazing views. There is ton of outdoor activities to do whether its sitting around the fire pit, or taking a trip in the kayaks or paddle boats. Jason and Angela were always in reach if anything was needed though they made sure everything was all set before you arrived, including towels, sheets, basic cooking/ grilling necessities and more. The house is perfect for friends to gather and relax together. Couldn't have asked more a more perfect trip or a more perfect place to stay!
Stayed up here with a few colleagues on a business trip that extended over the weekend. The house was in great shape for our arrival and was very warm. The kitchen opens up into the living room so the cook is not stuck by his/herself while cooking. All of te sheets and towels were in great shape and of high quality. On our day off we went out ice fishing on the ice behind he house and caught a few monster pike. One of tr most important things with these rentals is good communications with the owners. Angela is a fantastic communicator and stayed in close contact with us in te days leading up to the trip ensuring success. Given that we were on a business trip, Angela was very prompt in providing us with a W9 form after our checkout for expense account purposes. All in all- a great place... Even when it is ice cold outside.
What a wonderful place to get away from it all, yet be close to the activities available in the Twin Cities!
This place has so much to do, we could have easily spent all of our time relaxing here - but is was nice to be able to go into the city for a couple of nice dinners, a baseball game and an afternoon at Mall of America - all less than an hour away.
At the cabin you will enjoy beautiful views and two patios to sit on, two living rooms - including one with a video game console & games for the kids to enjoy, a wonderful fire pit (firewood provided and the first fire was built & ready for us to light!), lots of games and puzzles, and a very well stocked kitchen (including coffee & filters, spices, ketchup & mustard).
We absolutely LOVED using the kayaks (with 2 life jackets) every day. And the kids enjoyed the paddle boat.
Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us! We hope to come back again!
