The size of the house is 84 m2 and it has modern furnishings. The comfortable kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, ceramic hob with oven, microwave, refrigerator-freezer and much more. The house is fully air conditioned. (Heat / cool).
On one of the 3 terraces there is an outdoor grill. Garden furniture is available in plenty. VoIP telephone with German phone number and Wireless DSL Internet available for free. The house is fenced, so that privacy is preserved. The 8 x 4 m large pool with 2 terraces with loungers is at your personal disposal.
Landscape: Las Alpujarras, the 80 x 30 km large area, lies between the National Park Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranean Sea. Characteristic are rugged landscapes, beautiful valleys, streams and deep gorges. The picture perfect weather of the south prevails here. In Alpujarras is The Andalusian Sierras, which is impressive with the contrasting beauty of its landscape, the varied differences in altitude and the formation of its charming villages. And there is also a myth and evil legend woven around unwanted highway robbers, which made up some real robbery episodes in the neighbourhood.
Shopping: Shopping facilities are there in Orgiva (about 4 miles) and once a week is market day in Orgiva, where there are fresh vegetables directly from local farmers and much more, there is also a small mom-and-pop store in the town of Tablones where the farm is located. Almost directly in front of the door, a car comes once a week with fresh bread, eggs, fish and even a Family-Frost car.
Activities: Popular sightseeing includes: Sierra Nevada, Granada, the whitewashed villages of the Alpujarras, hams from Trevelez - the highest village in Spain, caves of Nerja, horseback riding, swimming, fishing, hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, skiing, ATV and motorcycle tours, and much more. Especially for youth there are two nightclubs and an open- air disco in Orgiva.
In summer there are often open-air fiestas that take place in the surrounding towns and villages. There is cool wine and beer with tapas here.
Live bands play here often and the atmosphere is just great. Also, there are flamenco dancers, songs with Spanish guitar music, sangria and tapas.
We had a really good time here. The owners Peter and Angelika had informed us that they would be away on our arrival but they had made perfect arrangements with friends to meet and greet us.
The property was clean and spacious enough for the two of us. The views along the valley and across to Orgiva really do justice to the name “The Castle”.
The pool was crystal clear and most welcoming as was the air conditioning given that the temperatures were 10 degrees above normal for the year.
Orgiva is the nearest town less than 10 minutes by car where there are numerous restaurants and three supermarkets. The coast is about 40 minute in the car.
Plenty of good walking and routes can be found in most of the neighboring white villages. The only fault was typical to the English “no kettle” but then what were pans made for!
All in all a great area and a great position which we would recommend if you are looking for a rural villa that is not too far from the facilities.
Great location in rural south Spain on edge of Sierra Nevada but only about 30 minutes drive from coast and beaches. Owner was very friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable five day stay in the villa which had excellent facilities.
After being greeted at a pre-arranged meeting place, we were taken through the village of Los Tablones to a beautiful villa high on the mountain edge. Immediately, we were taken back by its perfect location. The villa itself, was spotless with everything we could possibly need. There were so many different places to sit and admire the scenery, that we had names for each terrace. There was also 2 BBQ areas and a lovely pool. This place truly became our home for 8 days and touched our hearts. Orgiva is a 10 minute car ride away but the quiet location of this villa made it all the more special. We were met at a pre-arranged meeting point and taken to the property.On arrival we were given a very warm welcome by both of the owner's and taken on a tour of the property.There is everything that you need for a very comfortable stay with a very well equipped kitchen.
The only thing that i would have liked would have been some English speaking channels on the t.v. But there again they may not have many english speaking visitor's.
Nothing was too much trouble for the owner's and i would stay there again if i were to visit the area again.

nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir a profité de cette superbe maison avec ma famille dans nous avons passer de superbe vacances dans un cadre magnifique et sublime , la maison très spacieuse et agréable , un plaisir fou de prendre le petit déjeuné ou les repas sur les terrasses devant un cadre juste magique avec une vue superbe sur les montagnes , la piscine a fait le bonheur de mes enfants le jour comme la nuit , la proximité des lieux touristique et les commerces , ainsi les grande ville comme Grenade ,Alhambra , Motril , Cordoue , et le plus magnifique c'est la gentillesse et la disponibilité des propriétaires un grand merci a Mme Hamacher pour tout et espérons a l'année prochaine
j'ai eu l’énorme plaisir de profité de cette superbe maison avec ma petite famille que nous avons adoré , le cadre est juste magnifique les petits déjeuné ainsi que les repas sur la terrasse, avec la vue sur toute la région est juste sublime , la maison spacieuse, équipé et propre dans un très bon état , la piscine , le jardin mes enfants on adorer , la proximité de tout les commerce , les plage et les plus importantes villes , grenade , motril , et Cordoue et le plus important c'est la disponibilité et la gentillesse des propriétaire
