This was our second trip to Honokeana Cove, and the first time in Unit #112. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The amenities at the Cove are outstanding which is why we came back. We enjoyed our unit, it was well stocked with the essentials, and the pineapple in the fridge was a nice gesture. Having snorkeling gear in the unit was a plus as well as other beach essential tools. The Lanai has easy access to the pool, BBQ, lawn chairs, and the cove for snorkeling. We really enjoyed being able to walk right out to BBQ, layout, or snorkel with the turtles. There were about twenty turtles in the cove all the time doing their turtle business. We really enjoyed the Lanai in the evening for dinner, drinks, watching the sunset, and tiki torches.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Overall, the unit was clean, well furnished, and all the appliances worked fine. The unit provided a great spot for my wife and I to have an enjoyable Maui vacation.
Honokeana Cove #112 is as the description states. Great for a couple or a small family. The view is incredible and the garden access right off the lanai is something I am always looking for.
Amenities in the unit are great, parking is easy, and the turtles in the cove never go away! Surfing is available right outside the cove for those looking for that activity as well.
The only issue we had were the noisy neighbours. The units are a bit older and as a result, sound transmission is pretty bad and you hear and feel everything happening around you. I always travel with a white noise machine and it was very handy in this unit. But that all depends on who is staying beside and above you...
Overall a great spot at a great price with a bit more noise than I would have liked but the charm made up for it!
Response from the owner was quick and we even received a phone call when I couldn't figure something out in the unit-very helpful. Great owner that loves the unit and takes care of it.
I love this condo! The view was spectacular! Relaxing on the front lanai overlooking the lawn and turtle cove were the best. I'll be back next year!
Wonderful location. Could not ask for a better view and the swimming with turtles and the first floor access to the excellent grounds, pool and water, etc. was just what we were looking for. We'd stayed previously at Napili Kai, but Honokeanu Cove with a first floor condo and view will be tops on our list when we get a chance to return to Maui.
My husband and I have becoming to Maui every year for many years now. We discovered Napili on our second trip and have stayed at almost each resort on the bay. This year we were unable to find a condo right on Napili. The closest we could find was one bay over, Honokeana Cove. The best thing that ever happened to us! Everything about this magical spot was right up our alley. Granted, the interior of the condo is a bit dated. But it is clean and functional. However, everything else was perfect. The layout of the four buildings make the ambiance of the resort very private and personable. Not like the huge, impersonal resorts. It really has a cool retro vibe going on. The grounds are spotless and so inviting. The cove is perfect for snorkeling and paddle boarding. My husband and I spent hours watching the turtles in the water and on the beach. Keep in mind that there is access to the water, but it is rocky. Not a sandy beach like Napili, which is a one block walk away. The whale watching was amazing. They frolic and spout water just beyond the entrance to the cove. We enjoyed everything about this place so much that we reserved our two weeks for next year even before we left for home! If you need high end appliances, top quality furnishings, and someplace to throw your money around, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a place that you can relax and enjoy Maui of the 1960s, at price that lets you sleep at night, check this place out!
The cove is a beautiful kept up property. The trees and plants are beautiful. They have a pot luck pupu party every Wed evening-lots of fun with friendly people. Fun snorkeling in the cove. The unit is supplied with
snorkeling gear and sand chairs. Everything we needed was there.
The cove is famous for snorkeling..Reef Fish...Turtles
are quite common.
BBQ on the sea wall with great views of Molaki
