Why Dennis Seal chose Chalet Village
We were visiting the Smokies and staying at the High Chalet recently. When we saw the condo, we knew that it was meant for us--especially when it started to snow. We learned that the elevation is over 3200 feet. If it snows anywhere around, it is likely to snow here. You will think you are on top of the world when you look out the windows or step out on the balcony to see the surrounding mountains and Gatlinburg. You can see for miles and miles on a clear day. We plan to visit three or four times a year. In the mean time, we would like to share our home with you.
What makes this Condo unique
The part that made us fall in love with this condo was the scenic drive from our condo to downtown Gatlinburg. You will want to stop at every turn to take pictures of the panoramic views of the mountains, including the ski area and Ober Gatlinburg. It seems that everytime we would make the ten minute drive, we would discover something new.

Views for days
My husband and I enjoyed our week long stay at the condo. The views were the best part. The condo was clean and just enough room for the two of us. We stayed in one night and took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen, the DVD player and DVDs that were provided. The beds and couch were pretty uncomfortable. The only real complaint we had, and it's about the property nothing related to Dennis or the condo, the hot tubs had way too much chlorine in them. I actually ended up having a skin reaction to the chlorine and we were only in the hot tub for about 20 minutes. I've already recommended this condo to several friends!! We will return:)
Nice condo with a gorgeous view!!! We will be back.
Really enjoyed the views and the decor of the condo was great. Should have read the fine print a little more as walking up three levels of stairs was difficult with luggage and supplies. The stairs to the loft were fine but very tight moving around the bed and the least little movement in the bed produced a pretty squeaky noises. We got there after check in time and the condo was still in process of being prepared.
Wonderful time in Gatlinburg at High Chalet.
Dennis's place was wonderful. The view was incredible and we even tried to stay an extra day but it was already booked. Would definitely stay here again.
We loved our stay!!
It was smooth and everything was as advertised. Great communication with owners.
The property was nice and cozy. Every amenity you need is readily available. The view was fantastic. the owner was ultra helpful and nice bless him.
This luxurious condo is located high atop the mountain bordering the Smoky Mountains National Park It is located in the High Chalet complex which at 3200 square feet above sea level is the highest complex in the state of Tennessee. You can imagine the spectacular views during every season. Our condo overlooks the ski slopes of Ober Gatlinburg and the lights of downtown Gatlinburg. You will have a breathtaking scenic drive of about 10 minutes (3.5 miles) to downtown Gatlinburg. There you will find hundreds of specialty shops and other activities such as museums, wineries, the space needle, The Aquarium of the Smokies, and more. Ride the aerial tram to Ober Gatlinburg where you will find ice skating, skiing, tubing, and many other activities. Our favorite activity is to simply stroll the streets, find a comfortable bench for people and pet watching.
You might also choose to take a fifteen minute drive into Pigeon Forge where you'll find attractions such as Dollywood Theme Park, The Titanic experience, Wonderworks (our grandson's favorite) ziplining, and horseback riding. Our ' can't miss' pick would be the Dixie Stampede which includes a fun show for adults and children along with a full course meal using no utensils! If you enjoy shopping, you will feel like you have reached the 'Promised Land' when you go to the outlet malls (Five Oaks, Tanger, and Red Roof).
For the nature adventurers, you will enjoy the many hiking trails in the national park. My favorite hike is to Laurel Falls. It is an easy half mile walk to see breathtaking falls. The Smoky Mountains Park Welcome Center will gladly help provide tips and information about hiking trails. Cades Cove is a popular driving or biking destination for sighting wildlife such as bear and deer, especially in the morning hours.
For another kind of adventure, take the scenic drive up to Cherokee, North Carolina to experience the Native American side of the Smokies. If you are feeling lucky, stop in at Harrah's Casino for gaming and fine dining.
We promise that you will not run out of things to do while staying with us in our beautiful condo. We also promise that we are only a phone call away if you have any problems or need more information about the area.
