About Nick

We have been coming to Prescott since 1995. Since the first day we were there we knew this is where we wanted to own a Summer/Winter home. After going 3-4 times a year for the past 16 years we finally decided to take the plunge.

Nick purchased this house in 2013

Why Nick chose Mountain Club

The cabin we purchased was built in 1995...so you have something very well established but a beautiful contemporary home/cabin. We've rented numerous different places in Prescott and decided we wanted to have a place that would top them all. We think we succeeded.

What makes this house unique

Being minutes from a major grocery store and the luxuries of downtown were essential...what was also essential was being remote...that is veryyyy hard to do in Prescott...this neighborhood is it. We've tried a lot of others. In our opinion nothing compares to it.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our family is originally from the Midwest so we look forward to escaping the heat of Phoenix to travel north to Arizona’s “cooler” weather. We found the cabin exactly what we were looking for – spacious and “like home” with the comforts of a fireplace and hot-tub. We had 4 teenage boys along who enjoyed hiking and finding lots of open space to play “airsoft” wars. They were disappointed Sunday morning when we had to head back to the valley. The best part of the cabin is the downstairs that has (2) full queens, a pull out sleeper sofa and (2) bunk beds – the kids quarters! It was set up with a flat screen TV and a WII. The upstairs master bedroom was private and far enough from the kids chatter 2 floors down. The wrap around patio provided great views of the pine trees and a nice place to relax. So much room. In the evening we left the kids behind and spent several hours on Whiskey Row which was just a few minutes drive in to town. The location of the cabin combines the best of both worlds of being in the pines yet close to town.

Our kids are already asking when the next school break is and to make sure we can stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful experience and fun memories!

Wonderful home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful time! Great cabin in the woods.Very reasonable rates. Loved hearing the wind in the pines and the birds singing. The owners go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need. It was the best stocked place we've ever been to. Beds were comfortable. Loved having a fire on cool nights. Believe it or not we never made it into the hot tub but certainly enjoyed grilling on the porch. HD TV made National Geographic program come alive. I appreciate being able to leave some items we bought but couldn't take home with us. Some extra food, dominoes and a puzzle. Nick responded quickly when I called with a couple of questions. Location is wonderful. Close to Whiskey Row, restaurants and hiking. A must is to hike Constellation trail among the huge boulders in the Granite Dells. We have really missed good Mexican Food since moving from CA to PA. We ate a LOT of Mexican food at Alibertos just down the street. They have the best carne asada tacos and burritos! Inexpensive but huge! We love the Thai Cafe downtown too. Convenient to shopping with a good grocery store right down the hill from the cabin. Walmart and other stores not far including Trader Joe's which we miss in PA too. We definitely recommend staying here.

Great place

We stayed there for almost 3 months...great place, close to the center yet secluded enough. Everything works as it should and it is VERY spacious. Highly recommend it for families!

Comfortable, large home

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this 3+ bedroom home. It is quiet, close to town, clean, has nice view from living room and deck and is very well equipped with almost anything you need. Beware of the road up to the house, very rough and bumpy. Neighbors were quiet and courteous. The owner was very responsive to all our questions and followed through quickly with a couple issues. All in all we would certainly recommend this. We hiked everyday during the month of March, finding interesting hikes and great variety. Rosa's Pizza/Italian restaurant was very good, but get there early because they were packed even on a week night.

It's a Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I along with our two children love this place! This is our second time here and absolutely love it! We stayed for about two weeks and this time around we went to see the Grand Canyon which is about 2.5 hours away. We stayed at the El Tovar for 2 days and missed this place! This cabin is very comfortable and has all the essentials a home away from home requires. We especially love the hot tub on a cold night and a cluster of stars above you! We visited Watson Lake (about 10 min away) and we really enjoyed that's beautiful lake and hike. If you do go to Grand Canyon try to stop at Bearizona (our kids loved it) the bears were very active and we got really good pictures. Anyhow we would definitely recommend this place to you and come stay again for the 3rd time!! Enjoy!!

clean, comfortable, quiet.

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was amazing! As soon as we walked in we knew it was going to be a good time. Everything was clean and well organized. The kitchen was fully furnished with all the dishes we would need for cooking, the grill was great and there was plenty of clean linens and cozy blankets in every room. It was only the two of us but upon exploring the lower level we saw that there was enough room and beds for an entire family trip and then some. The floor plan is great and the upstairs bedroom has some awesome windows. There's a great deck with plenty of padded chairs to relax and good lighting for hanging out at night. Hands down though my favorite thing was the hot tub. That's a big reason we decided on this rental and it certainly did not disappoint it even had a red light which I thought looked really cool at night. This cabin has everything you need for a great little getaway I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Amazing Cabin In The Woods

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is amazing! It's the perfect combination of all things Prescott; tucked up in the woods surrounded by beautiful pines yet walking distance to Whiskey Row and countless antique shops. The floor plan could accommodate just about any combination of people you need it to and do so quite comfortably. We felt at home as soon as we walked in. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the deck in the mornings in the peace and quiet and walked to Whiskey Row for an afternoon of eating and window shopping. We also utilized the barbecue and fully stocked kitchen to grill up a great College GameDay meal and watch college football on the flat screen t.v. We highly recommend this cabin and are already talking about a return trip!
