Your hosts are Jerry and Deborah.
Jerry retired after 30+ years as a professor in the art department of Sacramento State and still continues to work in his home studio daily. We are also avid road cyclists, home wine makers and gardeners/landscapers. As long time fans of all Northern California we are delighted to share information on the best our neighborhood and the surrounding areas have to offer to make your trip memorable.
Deborah Walburg purchased this studio in 1980
The loft is comfortable, clean, and has anything you might need to stay in or go out to the great restaurants in the area. The owners are welcoming and helpful. We felt like we were visiting friends and appreciated their hospitality. The art and sculptures are beautiful..
I can ditto the previous reviews on many things. The grounds are so relaxing, the apartment couldn't be cleaner. The loft is the most relaxing stay I have ever had. And the Walburgs are genuinely nice people. Thank you both for opening up your "world" to a traveler. I will not stay anywhere else when I come back to Sacramento. Just awesome!
Wow! We had such a nice stay in the Urban Loft! The pictures on the website do not do the space justice and the grounds are unbelievable! The huge loft had everything we needed for our four night stay. We cooked all of our meals and enjoyed fresh ripe tomatoes from the garden on several occasions. We enjoyed the unique furnishings, and loved the many art pieces in the loft. The park-like grounds are dotted throughout with the most amazing steel sculptures, and relaxing gardens. Our hostess, Deborah greeted us on our arrival with a tour and a bottle of wine and made us feel like company! The loft is on a very quiet, tree lined street that felt totally remote, yet was convenient to all that Sacramento has to offer. I would recommend this place to anyone & can't wait to book it again!
This property is a wonderful place to stay, the hosts are responsive and the facilities are just as outlined in the briefing. The bed is very comfortable. I will be returning for sure.
Enjoyed my stay immensely. The loft was perfect, comfortable and convenient and the whole process great. No small thanks to my hostess, Deborah, who made the experience easy and painless. High praise and very well deserved. Conrad Clifford
We spent three nights in this charming loft apartment. It is very clean, comfortable and stylish. The owners are artists and you are surrounded by beautiful works of art both inside and outside that make this home exceedingly unique. We were in Sacramento for meetings at the downtown convention center and were able to easily commute each day. Everything anyone would need - big screen TV, wi-fi, Keurig coffee maker, full size fridge, two seating areas, large bathroom, nearby restaurants (we walked to dinner the first night) all in a quaint lively urban neighborhood with a retro feel. If we return to Sacramento we would definitely book another stay. It is an upstairs loft so make sure you are comfortable going up and down stairs. The owners/hosts are very nice folks too.Highly recommend!
