Why Denise Nagle chose Prenzlauer Berg

Comfortable and cozy city apartment. Top location, on one of the most beautiful streets of Berlin with many restaurants, cafés, shops and bars. CityRail station around the corner with S-Bahn and subway access to all of Berlin. Not a typical holiday rental home as the owner is using the house himself. Filled with art, music, movies and books ... a real 'home away from home'.

Great time in Prenzlauer Berg!

  • 5 of 5

Hallo Achim! Thanks for a great stay in a great place! With a fine apartment in such a perfect neighborhood, crammed with good places to eat and shop, a tram stop just down the block, and all of Berlin at your feet, how could you not have a great time? The apartment has everything you’d want and more; you really feel as if you are a part of the neighborhood after a few days. Plan enough time to see all the museums and sites you like, but also days just to be a part of the neighborhood scene. Say hallo to our friends at Chez Maurice, Pepe Nero, Cafe Tous le Jour, Alt Wien Gasthaus, and Klaus, if you see him. Enjoy!

Stay here!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time renting an apartment in Berlin. It can be a bit overwhelming trying to determine which area to focus your search. This apartment is located on a lovely street in the Prenzlauer Berg district. Of all the areas that we explored in Berlin this was our favorite. The street is tree lined and the sidewalk are large enough to accommodate tables from the many cafes. We had many enjoyable meals within a very short walk. I would recommend the wine bar that is next door to the entrance of the apartment. It's proprietor is from Milan and he has a very wide range of Italian wines. We felt like we were at a friends house when we had a glass of wine at his shop. The apartment itself is great; the listing's pictures and description aptly describe the space. The kitchen is well appointed and the unit is very quiet. Although we did not meet face-to-face Achim was very communicative and everything went smoothly. Should you choose this apartment make sure that you take the 15 minute walk toward Kollwitzplatz. It is a lovely spot.

Loved Prenzlauer Berg!

  • 4 of 5

Nice big, clean apartment, with very good ambiance. My wife and I were celebrating an anniversary and stayed for a week in early June 2015. Small walkout porch off the main room, great for breakfast for two. The area is full of cafes and restaurants and within 3 tram stops of Alexanderplatz. We often walked to Berlin Mitte to see the other sites. Achim is very responsive to questions, the apartment has Berlin guide books so you don't need to bring any. Great place to explore the former east Berlin. We are runners and a park near by was perfect for the end of day run. We would definitely come back.

Fantastic apartment in Berlin

  • 5 of 5

Hi Achim, Berlin was great, thanks so much for the rental of your apartment, everything worked out well, it was such a pleasant place to feel at home after our days of wandering through Berlin. As this is our fifth visit to Berlin we could allow ourselves a relaxed schedule, as aways we visited a lot of museums and tried to add some new areas to places we were already familiar with. A couple of overnight snow falls in the middle of our stay transformed Berlin into a picturesque postcard until of course it turned into black sludge! Thanks to your suggestions we had some great breakfast/lunches in the places just out the front, Tous les Jours, La Tazza, a place on the corner of Grifswalder Straße. A great dinner at Chez Maurice the Italian you recommended opposite Volkspark Friedrichshain and dodged the feral children in Pepe Nero.

Once again thanks for the opportunity to rent your apartment with the intriguing artwork, it together with Berlin, made for us a great Christmas New Year break.

Fabulous Apartment and Location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed for a month in this apartment on the Hufeland Str., and we were very pleased with everything. The apartment is on the 5th floor, with a fine working elevator. Halls and stairway were cleaned regularly, and there is a charming garden in the courtyard, sometimes occupied by a cat. The apartment is roomy and comfortable, wonderfully equipped anticipating every need, including a hair dryer; washing machine and dishwasher were easy to operate, heat worked fine. My only suggestion would be the addition of a comfortable chair in the living room. The neighborhood is excellent with many interesting restaurants and cafes within the two-block area. Hufelandstr. is a tree-lined cobblestoned street and the sidewalks are overrun with children of all sizes and shapes being transported in ingenious vehicles. Access to Berlin´s comprehensive public transportation is right at the corner (tram) or at another corner, bus. If we come back to Berlin for an extended stay, we would certainly want to stay in this apartment again.

Wonderful Stay in Berlin

  • 5 of 5

We highly recommend this wonderful apartment and neighbourhood. The apartment was great, beautiful art work, close to great little cafés and shops. Achim, the landlord, has been a very gracious host. The public transportation is excellent and it is easy to walk to many interesting sights. If you like to cycle, there are great trails throughout the city. Wonderful variety of close-by restaurants, with Tous Les Jours being a great spot for coffee, breakfast or brunch.

Everybody knows that Berlin is quite trendy. That there are hundreds of museums and galleries and that the cultural life and the nightlife are quite wild, is known as well. So I will give you just some information about the street right in front of the house: Cobble stones, old trees, beautifully renovated houses, cafés and restaurants at every corner, a huge park around the corner, next tram station 2 min. But the nicest things about this street are the tables the restaurants and cafés set out on the street. They give this street and area a flair which reminds me of the city where I live: Paris.
