We had a big international family meeting - with family coming from Scotland, Wales, Bulgaria, Canada and Germany at this wonderful and spacious holiday home with a huge pool, horses, jacuzzi and sauna. We were altogether 14 persons. For myself it was the second time, as I stayed in the Villa with another group some year ago. The outdoor facilities and garden furnitures are very suitable and also with excellent maintenance, confortable and clean. The owner is very helpful at the reception of the keys and provided us with a lot of insider information. Such as how to get around all the phantastic sightseeing-places of Andalucia. There are plenty of beaches around at about 25 kms. The house is at abput 2o Minutes from the airport of Malaga. The equipment of the house is stylish - with modern kitchen - and also a quick Internet Connection. We had a huge Spanish Paella prepared by a spanish cook, a lovely spanish evening with music and dancing on the huge outdoor terraces. We can fully recommend this property and of course we will go back next year for another family birthday.
We were a large group of 14 looking for a relaxing weekend away in a spacious villa in beautiful surroundings - this is exactly what we got! Dorothea was very helpful and accommodating.
We rented the villa for a weekend for a hen party in early October. In total there were twelve ladies in attendance, the ages ranging from 21 up to 31. We arrived late Friday evening and the villa owner, Dorothea, had been kind enough to organise taxis from Malaga airport to the villa and to shop for provisions for us for our arrival.
When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the villa; lots of room for us all, so much so there were parts of the villa we didn't even use as we spent a lot of time outside. There was an impressive third floor, which was a separate penthouse suite with its own kitchen, lounge, bedroom and large bathroom. On the ground floor there seemed to be countless rooms and several of the ladies were able to have their own room. The kitchen had all the desired amenities and we were able to cater for ourselves very well indeed. The pool was a very decent size with plenty of room for the twelve of us (and then some!) and was positioned beautifully so the beautiful scenery was always immediately in front of you.
Once again, Dorothea surpassed our expectations when she offered to take us to the local shops to buy food and wine for the weekend (as we stayed there the entire time) and as she took us up the hill we saved a lot of money. Dorothea had also organised for a chef to visit the villa to cook tapas for us all (additional charge), but unfortunately the chef had an accident and was unable to make it. Dorothea however stepped up once again and visited a local restaurant to buy dishes and cooked some items herself and served us all too, and did so very well indeed.
Overall, the weather was great and Dorothea was great and we could not have enjoyed ourselves. A perfect location for those wishing for privacy, beautiful scenery up in the mountains, and a charming host in Dorothea.
A group of 18 of us travelled to little paradise to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. On arrival we were over whelemed with how beautiful the villa and surroundings were. The views were to die for and the villa was amazing. All rooms were perfect and our suite on the top floor was fabulous so big and spacious with stunning views over the mountains. The furniture was top quality and all the bathrooms were large and spotless. The pool area was fantastic with the most outstanding views , the pool was always kept clean . We found the owner Dorothea to be so helpful and kind and she could not do enough for us. We could not have found a better place to have our 25th wedding blessing . There was nothing nicer than just sitting at night in the beautful settings and relaxing. From the photos on the web site we expected a beautiful villa but it was no comparison to what we found on arrival it was far beyond our expections it was truly a paradise setting. The layout of the villa was perfect with so many different areas to sit and bbq. We all had a fantastic holiday with some great memories and would recommend the villa to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in the most beautiful of settings .
My family (son age 10, daughter age 6) travel extensively and Little Paradise was an unexpectedly wonderful surprise.
Often in Europe whether its the langugage barrier or the culture, sometimes you can feel rather 'unwanted' when renting these villas or 'self-catering' apartments. Dorothea, the owner, goes out of her wa to provide hospitality.
When we first arrived, she escorted us directly to the house and gave us the tour of the house, the horses, the chickens, the pool, and the beautiful olive grove. I was a little worried because it seemed like she was concerned about the kids breaking things or losing things, but that quickly melted away by the second day to warm hospitality.
Every day there was a different surprise from a cheery fire in the fireplace for ambience already roaring for us when we got back from a daytrip to surprise farm fresh eggs in the morning to bowls and bowls of oranges direct from the trees on property - every day was a delight.
We rented a car (a requirement) and took day trips to Cordoba, Granada, Sevilla, Malaga, Nerja, and Gibralter. This property is centrally located and easy to get to whatever you might want.
It would be perfect for a large reunion or several families getting together, but it was also wonderful for our family. It is very, very well maintained. Dorothea takes pride in her propety and in her warm hospitality.
We hope to return to Little Paradise soon!
A group of 11 friends and family visited Das Kleine Paradise for the first 2 weeks in October 2010. We were a little late in booking the villa, so we rented out the bungalows available on the property. With the bungalows, we were supplied a full kitchen as well as a dining room/family room. The facilities were very well equipped both inside and out with everything we needed for a good vacation. The bungalows were spacious and comfortable with each having its own shower. Everything was clean and very well maintained.
The owner, Dorothea was outstanding. She coordinated the receipt of some missing luggage, and on our 1st Sunday, she made reservations and took us to the only restaurant that was open on Sunday in Casabermeja. She gave us great information on places to visit in the area for great day trips. We didn’t make it to all the places we wanted to go, but were able to go to Granada, Ronda, Antequerra, Nerja, Mijas and El Torcal. You shouldn’t miss the cemetery in Casabermeja. It is one of the few like it in the world.
She also arranged and escorted us to an Andalucian horse show that was followed by a dinner with Flamenco dancers outside of Malaga. We all had a great time. Dorothea was always concerned about our well being, and spent many nights with us at the outdoor seating area. She also brought us some of her own wine that was locally grown. We had a great 2 weeks, relaxing, sightseeing and having fun.
Dorothea introduced us to her favorite restaurant in Casabermeja, “El Puerto”. What a great restaurant. We ate there numerous times, and they treated us outstandingly. The food and the house wine were excellent. Shopping in Casabermeja was also a very good experience. Dorothea showed us the grocery store as well as her favorite meat market. A lot of our evening meals were made of the bread, cheese, meat and wines we were able to purchase at these stores. Everything in Casabermeja was very reasonably priced.
Overall, we had a great time. We would be happy to recommend this property, which is excellent value for money and which provides a good base for an enjoyable vacation.
