We are happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding our property. We both grew up in this beautiful area and know that you will be amazed by this clear lake, the sunsets, and the awesome sandy beach!
Erin John purchased this cabin in 2013
We purchased this cabin because we love this area. There is NO better lake in this area for families and for fun than Pelican Lake. The lake has so many sand bars for families to enjoy and the shallow warmer water makes parents rest a little easier knowing that the kids are safer. You can walk far out into the water off the shoreline before it becomes deep and it is ALL SAND!
AWESOME FISHING LAKE for Walleye, Northern, Bass, Perch, and Crappies....year round! Prime location for bringing your fishing boat and hooking that trophy Walleye!
During the winter months, bring your fish house with you and enjoy the private lake access 'on-site' from our property to drive your fish house out to your desired fishing hot spot on the lake.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at the Johns' Cabin. The beach is the nicest I've seen on any Minnesota lake. The owner supplied paddle boards, kayaks, waterskis, and a pedal boat so the kids were always entertained. We kept our 18' speed boat docked all week and I would welcome the addition of a boat lift in the future, otherwise we will not be able to stay there if the lake is low. The location of the cabin is on the shallow side of the lake and this presents a challenge to anyone wanting to dock a runabout longer than 18'. If you don't own a boat, this cabin is perfect and I cannot recommend it enough!
The owner was an absolute joy to communicate with and that cannot be overstated during these times. I am a stickler about good, civil, and courteous communication and the owner was the best I ever had the pleasure of working with!
During our stay, nothing was left to desire (except for a boat lift) and the entire week recharged our batteries and reminded us why we live in our beautiful state of Minnesota and vacation in the Brainard Lakes area!
All my thanks to the John Family for renting their wonderful cabin to us!
Fantastic beach, clear water, shallow (no more than 4 ft) for at least a couple hundred yards, then finally drops off. Was absolutely perfect for kids. They were able to run around, play on the beach and swim in the water without parents constantly worrying. Which equals fun for kids and more relaxing for parents. We brought a speedboat and rented a pontoon. Lots to do. We rented this cabin and the one right next door. (total of 10 adults and 7 kids) There is woods the other side of each house so it felt like we were at our own private getaway. Extended family from all over the country and we've vacationed in numerous spots from Oregon to North Carolina and this is on the very short list to come back.
My husband and I took our three kids (and their friends.....yes 6 kids total) with us to stay for a week and we had a fabulous time. The pictures tell the true story. What you see is what you get. The cabin is very clean and very well kept. The property itself is beautifully landscaped, the beach is amazing and the water is so clear. We had a fabulous time and my husband and I are now convinced we need to buy cabin. Loved it!!!!
This was perfect for our family--three generations. The beach was so awesome and the cabin and Tiki bar were perfect! The week flew by way too fast.
Located on one of the most pristine lakes in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Pelican Lake is known for its sandy bottom, numerous sand bars and crystal clear water.
The Breezy Point Resort is also located on this lake and operates The Breezy Belle which is a ferry boat that takes guests for dinner and drinks around the lake on certain evenings. There are also 2 restaurants and bars at the resort that you can dock your boat/pontoon right up too. On Saturday evenings at 8pm, the local celebrity 'Elvis' brings in a huge crowd for his evening shows.
There are also several golf courses within the area such as: Whitebirch and the Traditional and Deacons Lodge in Breezy Point, and Crosswoods in Crosslake.
The city of Crosslake is only a 10-12 min drive away and has numerous bars, restaurants, gas stations, grocery store, banks, churches, just about everything you need.
There are numerous ways to enjoy your time at this property such as swimming, fishing, water skiing, tubing, bonfires, and making everlasting family memories and not to mention the most breathtaking sunsets!
