About Beth Hillard

Being a military wife and daughter, I have done my fair share of traveling around the world. I have found that one of the first things that a Mom (for those of you that do not know her first name) looks for when they first arrive in a new place is the grocery store, restaurants and shopping. Time for ourselves is second place. I thought it would be great if we could help vacationing guest's get a little quality time (richly deserved) for themselves when on vacation.

There was this one day...my youngest sister called me and said that she and her family were coming to Sarasota for a one week vacation in June. I suggested to her that it might be nice if her big sister (me) could place some groceries in her unit. About that time a light bulb went off and in came this idea of marketing vacation rental homes online, reserving them and having concierge service for them as well.

So it began.... We are a family owned and operated business here is Sarasota. Being a military wife and running a military household, I feel that I have an attention to detail that some do not have. Our team will schedule tee times, day spa appointments, dinner reservations and even find a nanny to take care of the kids while Mom and Dad take a day off.

If you would prefer a private dinner, we can arrange for a personal chef to come an cook for you (Mom, he will even do the dishes after he cooks). The list goes on and on. The main thing is....we are here to make sure that you get the vacation home and the vacation that you deserve, want and need in today's hectic world. After you reserve your vacation home with us, call me for the little details and I will handle them for you before you arrive.

Here at Kalypso Bay Vacation Rentals & Concierge our goal is to help you achieve the vacation of your dreams. After all, we all deserve to be pampered and taken care of once in a while.

Why Beth Hillard chose Siesta Key

We have bungalow's, condo's, private homes for you to select your perfect vacation home away from home.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a wonderful time relaxing here during the Christmas holiday's. We had spent several days in Orlando and needed to wind down before heading back to Sweden. Paradiso Casa Siesta has been the perfect place for our family and the service from Kalypso Bay is outstanding! We really felt like we were home.

While this was our first time at Paradiso Casa Siesta it will certainly not be our last. The sunsets and beach at Siesta Key are beyond compare.

Cozy vacation on siesta key

  • 5 of 5

Our second year enjoying Paradise Casa Siesta rental 504120 was just as enjoyable as the previous year. We love it so much we are now annual rental customers. Beth is so accommodating we feel right at home. The place is set back surrounded by a white picket fence making it private and quiet, yet we are just a few blocks from the exciting village filled with stores and restaurants. We love that we can just walk instead of searching for parking spaces. And siesta beach is right around the corner for beautiful beach days and gorgeous sunsets. We have developed a great friendship with a permanent residence and increased our stay next year to enjoy our home away from home in 2017.

The unit was acceptable. The rugs in the living room and master bedroom need to be changed. Lighting was inadequate for reading. Television in master br can't be turned on/ off remotely, and high def in living room would be nice.

That said, the location is a huge plus and overall we were comfortable in the unit. Beth Hilliard, the agent, was always helpful.

Owner's Response: Dear Mr. A, We do apologize that your experience at the Paradiso Casa Siesta was strained. Your concerns have been brought to the attention of the owner and we are in the process of correcting them. The carpets in the Master Bedroom and Twin Bedroom were installed just 18 months ago and the area rug in the living room was purchased 1 year ago. That being said, we have had them professionally cleaned and they look wonderful! The owner is installing two new flat screen t.v.'s this summer for the further enjoyment of our guests. We do look forward to your return visit in the future. Sincerely, Beth Hillard Kalypso Bay Vacation Rentals

Absolutely perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved the condo. It is so close to the sandy white beaches, yet very quiet. We spent time exploring the Village, and found the locals to be very friendly and informative. We went to Venice Beach and dug for shark's teeth. Sunsets were spectacular.

The condo was well equipped with everything we needed, beach chairs, umbrella, even sun screen, (Nice touch).

We can't wait to return to the warm, white sand again.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

This condo is an absolute gem. Close to the gorgeous white sand beaches. Everything we needed was in the condo. A short walk to the Village. The unit would be great for a family or friends.

We spent most of our time at Venice Beach digging for shark teeth. This would be great for kids or adults.

We will definitely make this our yearly get away. We were sad we had to leave.

Adults and teens will like its convenient location, the best of both worlds-beach and village.

  • 4 of 5

Pros: The property is positioned on a quiet street around the corner from the main drag, only a couple blocks walk into the village, which is great. It's quiet, even at night during spring break. It's like there's some kind of neighborhood code or something. There is a beach access across the street, and it's really just a block. At home I was concerned that it would get old not being beach front, but the walk is nothing at all. The condo was clean, the beds comfortable, the pool warm and well maintained, the landscaping was pretty, and I never heard a peep from the other residents. Parking is right in front and the entire place is fenced off and private. I appreciated the short walk to the beach and not needing to drive into the village. I mean hey, all the bars are in the village with great live music every night, and it's great being able to stay longer and maybe order one more without concern about who's driving, right?

Cons: I'd have to be picky. I like to cook- yes, even on vacation. It was advertised as a gourmet kitchen, but the cookware and implements could use an upgrade. I took a chance but wished I'd brought my own (sharp) knives and one good fry pan and nonstick skillet. If you don't plan to cook, you won't care. Secondly, there was no cable for the tv in the kids' bedroom, so it was useless. Third, there were supposed to be beach chairs, umbrellas and such available to use, but where? There were sheds out back, some locked, some not, but none with our unit's number. I ended up borrowing from someone else's shed I guess, and no one seemed to notice, but that should have been explained. Yes, I could have bothered Beth about it, but I never got around to it.

Lastly, although it's a short walk to the beach, the section of beach nearest us is not the really, really nice part. You'd have to walk five or ten minutes south on the beach if you want the wide, wide area of Siesta Beach. As for me, I found it nice to be a bit out of the fray. It was less crowded. Just be aware this isn't the area with the lifeguards, restrooms, picnic areas and all of that. For me and three teens it was just right.

Bottom line, this is a really nice property and a good value. I would stay here again.

Owner's Response: Dear Mr. R, I am glad that you had a good time at Paradiso Casa Siesta. I do apologize for the lack of cooking utensils (I will mention it to the owner) and beach chairs. We generally have them in the spare closet in the Master Bedroom. The shed located directly behind the unit is the owners shed and he does keep a few extra beach chairs in there for those occasions when you need a little more seating. Thank you once again for your visit, we look forward to having you visit us again! Sincerely, Beth Hillard Kalypso Bay Vacation Rentals
