Individually designed house from the turn of the century in a Dalmatian style with a stunning view of the sea. The surrounding area offers beautiful olive gardens, an old fishing harbour with restaurants, shopping facilities and nearby hiking path connections into the stunning mountain world. It is 900 m to the beach. The house has a complete kitchen with a dishwasher, oven and espresso machine. There is a large garden with a BBQ house, two sunny patios, a small inner courtyard and a living room with a fireplace. Pets are welcome! To Makarska, it is only 5 km. There you will find a lot of shops (supermarket and daily fruit and vegetable market), restaurants, sport options of different types, a rich cultural selection and a sailing harbour.

The renovated stone house is well equipped with some antique furniture and a selection of dishes, pans and glasses. In the kitchen you will find all necessary devices, including a dishwasher. The kitchen counter is made of natural stone. In the basement, there is a washing machine. The house has central heating and additionally an open fireplace and a small fireplace oven. The floors are made of natural stone and wood, some with real carpets.

Beautiful old house in stunning location

We had a wonderful stay at Pogdora. The house was full of character and had the most incredible views to the sea and islands one way and inland to the mountains. It is surprisingly high above the coast and is quite hard work to walk back to in 38 degree heat, but worth it.

The house is traditional and does not have air conditioning, but does have a lovely breeze usually. It has a lovely garden and 2 patio areas, plus a great barbecue. Almost all visitors previously have been German and we were surprised that more nationalities had not visited. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Highly recommended!

un accueil sincèrement chaleureux par les propriétaires très prévenants dans cette maison authentique, dans un cadre naturel préservé : tout pour plaire, sur les hauteurs de Podgora avec une vue inoubliable du coucher de soleil sur les eaux de l'île de Brac ! Une base idéale pour environner et profiter des richesses de la Croatie : Split, Dubrovnik, Makarska, le Mosor et le parc naturel du Biokovo...

Man fühlt sich schnell nicht mehr als Gast...

Ein tolles Haus mit sehr schöner Aussicht. Wie schon im Titel beschrieben fühlt man sich nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr als Gast sondern richtig heimisch. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Will man mal nicht an einen der viele schönen (z.T. einsamen) Kiesstrände kann man sich auf der großen dachterasse von der sonne und dem tollen panorama verwöhnen lassen. die abendlichen sonnenuntergänge lassen sich bei leckerem essen und wein von der terasse aus genießen. hunde sind willkommen!

From the small fishing harbour of Podgora, you can reach the beautiful city of Makarska in 10 minutes. Here you will find everything that you need, but also countless cultural offers. Podgora is located very centrally and is thus a starting point for daily excursions to Split (Diokletian palace), Dubrovnik, Mostar and the islands. Countless, easily accessible beaches and the nearby mountain environment with well marked hiking paths are recommendable excursions and offer pure relaxation.
