What makes this cottage unique

Enjoy spectacular water and island views from our waterfront cottage and our cottage is just minutes away from Olympic National Park. We are also very close to the Olympic Discovery Trail.A small guest cottage also shares this property with our cottage. The cottages are separated by a 6' fence and each have their own private decks and back yards.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Jim's waterfront cottage provided one of our best vacation stays ever! The view from the backyard is outstanding with Port Angeles to the left, Victoria center, and Dungeness to the right. We ended each day relaxing in the comfortable backyard swing enjoying the sea breeze. From the fresh baked cookies on the table to the binoculars on the window sill, this host has thought of everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hated to leave. The pleasant 65 degree afternoons were a far cry from what we returned to in Texas. We highly recommend this destination, this cottage, and this host.

A Wonderful Stay!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was very comfortable and really felt like coming home each evening after long days of hiking in the park. We enjoyed the fireplace a couple nights and had a beautiful sunset one evening. We saw a bald eagle fly by one morning and had some black tail deer visit out front each evening. We didn't do much cooking but the kitchen was well equipped for anything you would need. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the big windows and watching the big boats going by.

Perfect Location near Port Angeles

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 2 nights here and really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is located on a bluff overlooking the water and it was the perfect place to sit and watch the ships, the water, the fog and the wildlife. The cottage is very clean, quiet and has everything for a comfy stay. The beds were especially nice. We enjoyed exploring the Olympic National Park during the day and grilling dinner at night. We would highly recommend staying here and would stay here again.

Thanks!!

Peaceful and quiet with stunning view

  • 5 of 5

For 11 nights this cottage was home sweet home to my husband and I and our chihuahua. Everything was very clean and comfortable; the furnishings and finishes were all perfect. Every time I turned around, I was delighted by something else - the birch tree painting in the living room, the conch shells, binoculars in every room, a doggie basket with necessities and treats for "fido," and don't forget the best cookies in the world! (Oh my - I forgot to ask if I could have the recipe!) I loved the large bathroom, huge closet, and the complete kitchen. We had such a wonderful time whether we stayed "home" all day or went exploring, having this cottage to come home to in the evening. During the hot weather the cottage stays very cool. And the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in! (Jim, what kind is it - I want to buy one!). Another bonus was the extra large size of the washer and dryer. Oh, and not to forget the stunning views every day, changing with the weather, changing with the barometer, changing with the time of day! And last but definitely not least, the sunsets - eleven sunsets we saw, and not one of them the same as the last.

Nice location but needs updaing

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed the great views from the picture window in the living room and the close proximity to Olympic National Park and other recreational areas in and around Port Angeles and Sequim. The cottage is well equipped but needs some updating including replacement of the mattresses in both bedrooms.

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying with us.We are glad you enjoyed the beautiful water views from our cottage. I am sorry that our beds were not comfortable for you.Our mattresses are in excellent condition and have expensive memory foam toppers purchased from Costco.Mattresses are such a personal choice. The guest that stayed just after you commented in her review that the bed was the most comfortable bed she had ever sleep on and asked us to tell her who the mattress manufacturer was so she could buy one. Your comment is helpful because I will make a note in our guest book to remind our guests that they can remove the mattress topper if they prefer a firmer bed.Thank you again Jim

Port Angeles

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our visit, it was well appointed, had everything we needed for a relaxing and restful stay. The location was central to the areas we visited, the view from the living room was amazing, and the sunset would literally light up the living room area in the evening. Thank you for sharing your property with us.
