Having met at Miami University, we've been married and have lived in Worthington, Ohio for over 30 years. Our very first vacation together was to Kelleys Island to visit a cousin who was starting a business on the island -- The Kelleys Island Wine Company.
Zach Zettler purchased this house in 2013
Our family has been vacationing on Kelleys Island for decades. It is an incredibly family-friendly vacation spot with plenty to offer kids of all ages. A trip to Kelleys starts with the ferry ride from Marblehead -- a 20 minute ride that serves to melt-away the stresses of the real world. Once onshore, a feeling of peace and tranquility instantly takes over. Kelleys Island is the perfect spot for family reunions, gatherings of friends, and lasting memories.
The first few blocks west of town on Lakeshore Drive have always been our absolute favorite place on Kelleys because of the beautiful old homes, the majestic shade trees, the cool breezes coming across the lake, boats of all kinds sailing by, and the gorgeous views of the mainland, especially at night. We never thought we'd be able to buy a place on this street. While here for a family reunion in 2013, we found ourselves with a unique opportunity to acquire our own little piece of heaven.
We thoroughly enjoyed the week we spent at the house. We had perfect weather and the house was exactly what we had expected. I can say we spent quite a few hours enjoying the porch and the view both day and night. We would definitely be interested in coming back next summer, so please send me an email when you start making arrangements at the beginning of next year for bookings. Looking forward to doing business with you again.
My family and I stayed at this home this past August and we loved the home! We had three adults, two teenagers, two children and a toddler and we had plenty of room. The pictures do not do this home justice. It is very roomy and the location is perfect. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen. It was a good size kitchen area and very clean with all the amenities we needed. The front porch was great for relaxing and we had our morning coffee there everyday. We had fires at night in the backyard and loved hanging out laughing about our adventures of the day. We had a beautiful family vacation on Kelley's Island. I would highly recommend this house to anyone vacationing at Kelley's!
Wow! What a nice surprise...The Pictures do not do this home justice. From beginning to end we enjoyed ourselves immensely. We have stayed on the Island many times before and many times looked at this house and said next time. Well this was next time. The Zettler's have done a wonderful job updating and providing all the luxuries of a perfect resort. The Girls and I can not wait until next year.
We have been to Kelly's 4-5 times and always wondered what it would be like to stay in one of the big homes with the best view of the lake. This time we did and it was such a nice house to stay on Kelly's island. Absolutely beautiful views from porches and we loved the view from the dining room while eating my husband's favorite. Very comfy, so convenient to town-very walkable. Love the old world charm-woodwork is just gorgeous -here i am taking pictures of cabinets! Yet comfy as the kitchen is modernized.
Thank you so much-highly recommend
This house feels like it is my own home. Warm, Cozy, Inviting, Convenient, Immaculately maintained. I have stayed at other residences on the island and this is by far and above, the best one! The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen highly equipped, Internet Access fairly quick, Water pressure wonderful, entire house smells clean and the PORCH . . . is heavenly. They have coordinating cushions, comfly rockers. Owners are easy to reach and talk to. I will continue to rent this house as long as it's on the market.
Perfection. This home is beyond words, and our family had a wonderful time on the island. We are already planning our next stay. The kitchen is an absolute joy to cook in, and the views from the front and side porches are spectacular. The home provides every comfort, and the owners attention to detail is straight from the heart. Lives up to and surpasses every expectation.
We had such a great time staying at this lake house. One of my favorite things was to wake up and drink my coffee on the front porch! The view of the lake was amazing from the front porch. This was a perfect place for our family and another family of 4 to stay. I highly recommend this home for your Kelleys Island stay!!!!!!
