Cozy apartment in an old house about 10 minutes from the downtown. The apartment has a great access to the city center for an ideal value/cost ratio. If you are looking for a cozy apartment for a good value, this shall be your choice.
The apartment consists of a kitchen, one bedroom, living room, bathroom and a toilet. The kitchen is completely new, fully equipped also with a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedroom has one king-size bed for two people, large wardrobe and a 'workroom corner'. Living room has 2 sofas, of which one is a sofa-bed for another 2 visitors. Then, there is a widescreen cable TV with several EN/DE programs (News/Sports). Bathroom is equipped with a new shower.
Fast 10Mb WiFi connection is in the whole apartment.
We stayed in this charming flat for five nights in October. The space itself is exactly as pictured and generously supplied with everyday household items you may need - including toiletries and even a hair curler, which I found quite convenient! Overall, it was very modern and wonderfully bright! The bed in particular we found quite to our liking and we slept like babies each night. We did wish there were more pillows (there's one each and a spare for the pullout) - but I'll fully admit that I'm a bit of a diva and like lots and LOTS of pillows at home. ;)
One other item I'll note is that the shower is UP a step and has a narrow door to enter. Once through the door, it's plenty large and generously stocked with shampoos/bodywashes, but people with bad knees or who are heavyset (as I am) should note it's a bit of a squeeze to get in there. If this were my flat, I would remove the doors, replace with a shower curtain and add a handrail. BUT, again, this isn't a deterrent - and knowing what I know now would not stop me from renting this space again if the opportunity presented itself. Just sharing our tips. :)
We loved the apartment's proximity to local bars/restaurants and went to the little grocery store across the street at least once per day for beer/water/wine and snacks. The apartment is about 2 miles from Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the castle. For a stay of our length (and anything longer), I think being in a more residential neighborhood is preferable to being in the thick of tourist zones. Public transport is easily accessible, but we found ourselves using Uber more frequently - about $4 US to get almost anywhere in the city. Marek includes a "cheat sheet" of tips/area points of interest and a map that we found extremely useful. We had not planned to use cell data during our stay, but after getting lost for 3 hours our first day, we turned it on if only to access maps. :) Was soooooo worth it. The WiFi in the building worked great and Marek was quick to respond to any queries we had during our stay. All in all, A+!
Great place. Marek and his wife are amazing. We came from Canada and they were kind enough to provide us with a spare crib and high chair :). The location isn't too far from the town square and train station by tram. The apt has literally everything you need. Thanks again! JD and k
Sehr empfehlenswert!!
Outside of the narrow shower door and the occasional late-night street noise, this place was perfect. Clean, comfortable, and convenient, this bright and airy apartment is close to supermarkets, eateries, bars, the tram, just about anything you would want. The Old Town is a short tram ride away. Marek is an exceptional host: caring, organized, friendly, responsible. Thank you, Marek, we really enjoyed our stay.
I was allowed by the owner, Marek to look at the property the year before I rented it. Marek is great to work with as a host. A+, 5*****
The flat is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy Prague. Soap, salt, laundry detergent, towels, cookware, glasses, cutlery, etc. The Wi-fi is great as is the channel selection on the big screen TV.
I chose this flat based on the fact that there are more bars on Bořivojvá than any other street in Prague. :-) Very lively at night, and sometimes into the early morning. There are not many tourists here during the day...only at night.
The flat is very close to an Albert supermarket as well as many Potraviny within walking distance. My favorite go-to bar was Bukowski's and my favorite go-to restaurant was Lavičká.
If you want to experience "the real" Prague and not "tourist" Prague, this flat is for you.
excellent apartment, clean and equipped with everything you need to live a serene at 10 minutes from downtown. Veronica the owner very kindly waited for us until we arrived late in the evening. thanks Veronica

Zizkov (the district where the property is located) is well situated. It is full of restaurants/bars (with very good price level), 10 minutes from downtown with night tram connection. Just in front of my apartment there is a grocery store open daily till 11PM so you will never miss anything. The apartment is also close to green and red metro lines so you have a perfect connection to virtually any place in Prague. The district of my apartment is also self-contained so that you have any services within reach (pharmacy, shopping center, cinema, currency exchange). On the other hand in Zizkov there are various parks if you like to chill out a bit.
In general the place offers to a visitor great value for very affordable price.
