We are Wyoming natives. My husband is retired Air Force. I am a teacher. We are blessed to be back in Sheridan and look forward to meeting people traveling through this great community.
Michelle purchased this bungalow in 2009
We purchased this property while we were stationed in England preparing to retire back home. This property is unique in that it came with two houses. We live in one and look forward to sharing the other with people looking to enjoy the area.
My grandparents built the house two doors down. My parents live their now. I love this area and love that to get to the park for much of the summer fun that the walk takes you across a bridge, my favorite place in the world. It used to be a swinging bridge that my grandfather helped build. From this property you can also walk to the main street events during rodeo days and all the third Thursdays which consist of music, vendors and some real Sheridan living.
We planned a family gathering in Sheridan for about 40 people. Most stayed at hotels but I rented this home for my daughter, her husband and their 2 children. The owners were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! The pictures shown are accurate. Several times during the stay other family members came to the house for cookouts and gathering. Children played joyfully in the yard. I worried the owners would be upset but instead they were delighted that our family could get together in such a lovely yard. Additionally it is a great home base for trips to the mountains, Shell Falls, Devils Tower, Custer Battlefield plus the great activities in Sheridan itself. I highly recommend this comfortable little home and expect you will enjoy your stay as much as our family did!
This small community of Sheridan offers some great places to see. The historic Sheridan Inn dates back to 1892 and was once owned by the legendary Buffalo Bill Cody. The Sheridan County Museum offers a lot of learning and an amazing miniature diorama of the area among a wonderful depiction of the old logging flume. Also the wonderful Kendrick Mansion-Trail End is now a museum as well. Built in 1913 it is the former residence of John B. Kendrick and family. On site of the mansion is also the Carriage House Theater, a great place to take in our local theater production. Local events include Sheridan Wyoming Rodeo and parade, a third Thursday Main Street event all summer long which includes bands, entertainment, and vendors. For a tour of the whole area take a ride on the Sheridan Trolley, replica of the actual trolleys that ran as Sheridan’s Railway Company from 1911 to 1926. It takes you right through the Kendrick park and you can stop for the best ice cream cones anywhere! And just thirty miles away in Buffalo there is the biggest free swimming pool you've ever seen! Sheridan is a warm Western town with much to see and do. There are great hunting and fishing opportunities, site seeing and golfing. Nestled only a twenty minute drive from Bighorn Mountains. Come enjoy a stay at the Night Owl while you take in Historic Sheridan Wyoming and the surrounding areas.
