Space 968 sq. ft.
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Studio 24 is an apartment with 2 floors, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and a garden

We really look forward to welcome you in our spacious, beautiful and comfortable apartment right near the centre of the city. The studio is designed with various vintage finds, seventies design and pieces of art. You can enjoy the secluded, Mediterranean garden in the back. An oasis after the hustle and bussle of the day!

The ground floor of the apartment features a shower, bathroom, kitchenette (including fridge, watercooker and Nespresso machine), large table, a day-bed and a double bed, (which can be made up as two single ones). Ideal if you are with 2 people. The first floor houses another big room with two or three sleeps and there is a very nice, romantic, small, separate extra bedroom with queen size double bed. There is also the second bathroom and shower. You rent the apartment as a whole, ideal to have the both floors if you are with more than 2 people. We can arrange several combinations of beds.

The city centre is within easy reach, 10 minutes by bike or tram. Restaurants - easy going as well as top rated - and breakfast or coffee corners are within walking distance.

We love to show you our beautiful Amsterdam for locals!

About Paul Tegenbosch

Paul is an interior designer and creator ( tables, bookcases, kitchens , garden houses ,etc. ) and Bonnita is a photographer and artist ( she makes beautiful collages!)

Paul Tegenbosch purchased this apartment in 1997

Why Paul Tegenbosch chose Amsterdam City

our property is a beautiful family house , built in 1902 with 4 floors, a nice garden and a sunny balcony. The street view is typical Amsterdam with a fountain in the middle and trees around. In 2009 we built a double atelier / studio / apartment in the garden with own entrance in the side street. It is a multi purpose inspiring building in which you can live , work and create. Recently we started to rent the apartment.

What makes this apartment unique

Close to the inner centre of Amsterdam and still quiet and save. The area is very family- and child friendly and trendy because of all the facilities like restaurants and shops, but also schools, sports and cultural places and parks. An ideal area to live as a local!!

Cozy and perfect for the five of us!

  • 4 of 5

Bonnita was so hospitable with welcoming us with cold drinks to the delivery of fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning! It was like staying at a friend's place.

Beautiful apartment, perfect location and wonderful hosts!

  • 5 of 5

My brother and I arranged a trip to Amsterdam for my mother's 60th and we had a fantastic 2 night stay at Studio 24. There were 6 of us in total and the apartment was just perfect for our needs. Located just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city centre it still had all the amenities nearby - nice bars and restaurants, supermarket and a lovely bakery - and the town centre was an easy 10-15 minute tram journey away.

The apartment was beautifully decorated and furnished - it's clear that the owners are real art lovers with recreations of Van Gogh and Vermeer dotted around as well as some original works. Whilst the third bedroom is little more than a snug it had plenty of room for both my partner and I, and all of our belongings and provided a very comfortable night's sleep.

Best of all we're the hosts - Paul and Bonnita. Paul welcomed us with a drink when we arrived and with the aid of a map gave us information about the surrounding area such bars and restaurants to try out as well as useful information about getting around and popular tourist spots. Bonnita greeted us each morning with freshly squeezed orange juice, an incredibly welcome gesture! We were bid a warm farewell on our final day and Paul was kind enough to take some photos of us as a group.

If we ever Visit Amsterdam again then we would love to come back to Studio 24!

Outstanding host and outstanding location

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time taking a trip out of the country and we decided Amsterdam would be a great first destination for our 10 day Europe trip. We had been eyeing Studio 24 for quite some time because we needed 3 bedrooms, which was difficult to find for a decent price. We weren't too keen on staying in hostels, so I am extremely happy we were able to find Studio 24. Paul was extremely welcoming upon our arrival, he invited us into his home, drank with us (despite it being a tad early), and sat with us to give us a ton of recommendations for our stay in Amsterdam. We even met his gorgeous dog!

We were a group of 4 people and Paul's Studio 24 was the perfect size! There's tons of space for all of us to just hang out each night after a full day of walking. The natural lighting inside truly made me feel like I was in a Pinterest home. My friend and I are also big art lovers, so the decor in Studio 24 gave us life. Paul has a small little kitchen on the first level, equipped with a Nespresso machine (much appreciated, we really needed a caffeine rush after not sleeping on the plane) and some Heineken in the fridge for our drinking pleasure. The garden is also a great relaxing place to sit and have a cup of morning coffee.

Hogeweg is a beautiful scenic little town. It's very safe and quiet, as it is a family friendly area. Paul had some great restaurant and cafe recommendations in the area, all accessible in his binder of information that you get with your stay. Definitely go eat at Elsa's Cafe!

Getting into the center was extremely easy once you figure out the tram schedule. Our group got the iAmsterdamcard that came with a map with the GVB tram lines. We found this very useful on top of Paul's map of recommendations for the center.

On our last day, Paul gave us some freshly squeezed orange juice before sending us off. Our whole trip was an amazing experience thanks to Paul and his family! The only complaint we have was not being able to stay longer :)

Fantastic place

  • 5 of 5

From the nice welcome to the warm "goodbye" time, Paul and Bonita do their best to make our stay fantastic. Their place, near bike rental shops and restaurants of Oost area, is 15 minutes away from center Amsterdam by bike and 15 minutes by train to Amsterdam central station. It is so easy to see the best of Amsterdam from their lovely appartment. The design of it is really wonderful and beds and bathrooms are very confortable. A place to be and to recommend. Hope to see you soon!!!

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is really nice, spacious and comfortable with a lovely garden. The location is perfect : in a quiet residential area, with good restaurants and bars within walking distance, very easy and pleasant to reach the center by bike or tram. Paul and Bonnita are wonderful hosts : warm welcome, good recommendations for visits, restaurants, bars and cherry on the cake, a fresh orange juice in the morning ! We definitely recommend this property.
