This location is also close to fishing, with the Vilano Pier just a few minutes away. Plenty of places to put in your boat, or rent a charter. Crescent Beach lies to the south a few miles for those looking to relax on a quiet beach, or join the crowds on St. Augustine Beach. Plenty of choices!

We were looking for a unique place to stay with our family for an extended "history field trip." This darling little apartment was perfect for our family. We have four school-age children who fit just fine up in the cute loft and the master bedroom was a perfect retreat for us (mom & dad). The kitchen and bathroom were totally modern but the historic charm (windows, wood floors, balcony) remained. There were plenty of towels and kitchen necessities. The washer and dryer (though down the flight of stairs) were so helpful to have on site.
We walked EVERYWHERE from this location; it was so close to all the historic sites, shopping and restaurants. The bakery below was delightful and the cupcakes were delicious.
The rental agency was a pleasure to deal with and we highly recommend this property!!
My husband and I spent a long weekend in this charming home and it was perfect! Marty was great to deal with, especially since we were last minute booking. The location was great! We walked everywhere and even walked over to the beautiful cross on the water across the street to enjoy a peaceful nap on the green space. The porch was awesome for relaxing and people watching! We will definitely stay here again on our return to beautiful St Augustine!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect, it was very comfortable. We would definitely come back again and recommend it highly to anyone looking for a perfect location in Saint Augustine.
We stayed here January 2015 ....2 adults and our 3 children.....the apartment is SO sweet and unique. We were a quick walk to everything and the cupcake shop downstairs is a wonderful treat! Parking in back is easy and we never had to use our vehicle during our vacation. The spiral staircase to the loft is a bit scary and creaky and I wouldn't be comfortable with young children using them. Although we loved the front balcony, the PVC furniture could be updated and the whole porch needs a good hosing down. Also, the bed in the master bedroom needs leveling....I love old crooked houses, but the bed has quite a slant.
My family and I stayed at Marty's house at the end of May and were very happy with the experience. The condo is exactly as it is depicted in the pictures and has a great feel. Its location on top of the cupcake shop was a hit with my three year old. The overall location is great, we were able to walk to everything in the old part of town (about a 5-10 minute walk), but were also across from the Mission and just down the street from the Fountain of Youth, Old Jail and related attractions. It was also nice to be able to drive to any of the three beaches (7-15 minute drive depending on the beach). It wasn't really a negative for us since we enjoy people watching on the great balcony, but not being from the area, I didn't quite realize how busy San Marco Ave is. It was nice to watch the trains/trolleys pass by and watch passerby's, but if you're looking for a no-traffic location, this isn't it. That said, it's the only potential downside we found with the location (for others), but I would continue to recommend the condo and would stay here again.
We wanted a place for a week and didn't want to have to drive everywhere. This place was perfect. The driving we did was when we went to the beach which was only a short drive. The information center and the trains that go around the area as well as the old town were only a few blocks away. The apartment was in an updated Victorian house. The kitchen (which included a dishwasher) and bathroom were nicely done and we loved the big porch. A plus was having a washer/dryer. The pictures on the website are accurate. We would definitely stay at this rental again and will recommend it to our friends.
