Spacious, comfortable house.
Well equipped, comfortable house close to local attractions. An enjoyable stay was had by all eight of our party.
Lovely home from home
What a lovely Holiday Home, and I call it a home not a house as it felt just like home for us. It has a wow factor as soon as you walk in and the views are something else. It's close to some gorgeous beaches and lots to do too. We didn't have the best of the weather but we didn't let it stop us.
The house has everything you need, from towels, hairdryers, washing machine, dryer, iron to milk in the fridge, biscuits and the most plentiful fruit bowl. You really don't need to take anything as the owners have thought of everything.
We have already given out the details to a couple of our friends
The photos really don't do it justice at all and we will definitely be back.
Thank you very much to Kevin and Ursula
We are very pleased to hear that you experienced the property as home from home. This has always been our intention. We appreciate you making Malindi Holiday Home known amongst your friends.Kind regards from the Waters family
This is an extremely well equipped property. The kitchen has everything you could need, as does the rest of the house, everything has been carefully thought out. The house is very clean and tidy, as is the bedding and bathrooms, and spacious too. The beach of Crackington Haven is about 5 min drive away with a friendly pub grub too. We visit Cornwall every year as we have family in Newquay. Bude and Port Isaac are a short drive away and well worth a visit. We even went to the Eden Project about 1.5 hours away! You can walk to the local post office/ corner store which is very friendly. The view over the valley and the sheep are stunning, although a little windy when we went due to a storm. The downstairs is very open plan - although having a separate room for the 'little ones or teens' that don't want to mix ;) and a downstairs wet room which was very handy for the surfers! Our experience with the owners and booking was made extremely easy and they were very helpful. I would defiantly recommend this as a holiday home, and would return again. It was just very slightly too far for us to travel daily to Newquay to visit family.
Defiantly a 10/10 experience, thank you for making it so enjoyable.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you on behalf of Lee and both our families for the use of your holiday home last week.
The house is absolutly fantasic, better than what we dreamed, very spascious for a large family, extremely well equipt and very warm and cosy for those windy days during 'Storm Jude'! We were made to feel so welcome with the little touches left for us (especially the fruit, which was greatly enjoyed by all, milk, biscuits and jam!)
I just wanted to say a personal thank you, we take away some great memories of our holiday. I will not hesitate to recommend your home to friends and family.
Edel and family.

Beautiful house in lovely countryside
The house, Malindi, is as gorgeous as it looks from the pictures. In fact the master bedroom isn't pictured and is the nicest and largest of the four, with a fantastic big window overlooking the surrounding countryside. The house is large and well equipped. It has leather sofa seating for 6 plus the four chairs pictured. In addition it has a separate tv room which looks like it might double as a bedroom with a disabled bathroom (would need to check with owners). Two of the bedrooms upstairs have ensuites with the other two (one being the children's room) sharing a family bathroom. The three double rooms have beds with two separate covers so could probably be used as twin rooms too. The whole house is well decorated and modern in feel. The owners have put together an information pack to tell you how to operate most appliances - very helpful.
The beach at Crackington Haven is in a lovely bay and good for children to play in. The beach (and pub and cafe) are all about a mile from the property although I'm not sure I'd walk it as it's very hilly with some blind bends on the road (particularly in the dark).
There are plenty of other beaches, villages and towns worth visiting. We liked Boscastle (a few pubs and gift shops - and the Sunday carvery is fab!), Bude (lovely big beach) and Padstow (good for artisan type shops, no beach, but the trip across bay on boat was well received by our four year old niece).
We visited in early October and were very luck with the weather, but I would consider coming back and staying in Malindi again during warmer months to make more of the beaches.
We found the use of broadband and telephone particularly helpful as we had no mobile signal at the house (on Orange) and found it useful to use an iphone (on broadband) to look up reviews for restaurants and opening times for shops etc.
We also visited the swimming pool in Bude, taking our 3 month old for the first time. We found the staff to be extremely welcoming and the rest of us enjoyed the with wave machine and flume! I would recommend checking times as schools often use it during the weekdays.
The owner was very helpful and is posting back a bag of DVDs that we accidentally left at the property for us.
We thoroughly recommend Malindi for those wishing to stay in a lovely spacious house and explore gorgeous North Cornwall.
Thankyou very much for such practical and helpful comment.
Pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Malindi.
This house (Malindi) is absolutely beautiful in every way .It is perfectly situated in Crackington-Haven to give easy access to most beaches, towns and motorway routes. It is environmentally friendly with its under floor heating and solar panels. It also comes very well equipped to more than meet the needs of its maximum capacity of nine people. Our stay was in March and although we had a couple of rainy days it was a pleasure to sit in the lounge/conservatory and admire the wonderful views over the county side and the open sea. You also have access to plenty of amusement games, DVDs and Cds to keep you occupied in the relaxing-room . This was our first stay at Malindi but it will not be our last. The owners Kevin and Ursula Waters are very helpful people and if you have any special needs or requirements they will try to do everything within their power to accommodate.
