We stayed for 2 weeks and could not have been more comfortable. Cindy and David were very accommodating. The house is clean and comfortable with all amenities. A comfortable deck to watch the sun setting against the mountains. 20 minutes in any direction finds plentiful entertainment and great food. Sparky's in Hatch has the best Green Chile Burgers in the SW. The hot springs at River's Bend in TorC are invigorating. Sitting Bull gave them credit for his longevity. Fishing in the reservoirs is available. Hiking in the mountains is always a treat. There are many petroglyphs along the trails to be discovered.
My friend and I stayed 3 nights at this lovely property. My only regret was not staying longer! We enjoyed the breathtaking views, serenity, fresh air, relaxing atmosphere, and lovely accomodations. Everything about the modern mobile home was perfect. Very clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, plenty of quality linens, and a delightful host too! Cindy is a wealth of information about the local area. She offered spot-on dining recommendations as well as fun day trip ideas. We enjoyed chatting with her and then venturing out to ghost towns, mountain drives, and great food! This place is perfect for a low key getaway. I highly recommend sipping a glass of wine while enjoying the sunset from the porch. And then watch the sun rise over the mountains! Amazing! I will stay here again.
Just got home from our month stay here. It was absolutely the BEST. Our home was so cozy and from the first night it felt like home. We took are labradoddle with us. The Gillis's were excellent to rent from, even from the beginning they we so accommodating and made us feel like family and provided us with fresh eggs. The location was excellent because there is so much to see and we were centrally located. I give this experience an A+. I would recommend this place to anyone.
We stayed one month in Arrey and just loved everything about it...wonderful accommodations, welcoming community and Cindy and David are perfect hosts. Nothing was lacking, the unit was well stocked, clean and maintained. Our only regret was having to leave at the end of November. The view of the Caballo Mountains and the quiet, peaceful rural atmosphere added to our visit. Yet, this location lends itself to a variety of day trips. Wish we were there right now!!
