Why john marcum chose Old Town
Our house was originally owned by the Tufts family, the founders of Pinehurst, who sold it to our family in the 30's where it has remained. Having lived all over the world, we keep returning to Pinehurst, which is truly remarkable in having retained its unique charm and status as the Capital of Golf in the US.

Best of Pinehurst
This was the 3rd year we have stayed at property. It is close to everything and quite comfortable. Love all the porches.
Mc Caskill Cottage
We had a fabulous stay at the cottage, it was full of charm and character. Two short blocks to the village and the fabulous arboretum was just down the street for a brisk walk or bike ride.
Thank you very much and we hope you are able to visit with us again soon!
Perfectly located house for village and spa
This was the perfect house for our family of 6 - well stocked and just a few blocks from town and spa/hotel so elderly parents could walk
Glad you enjoyed it! Redecorating this fall. Stay with us again. Best regards, John
Wonderful cottage very near downtown.
Was able to walk to dinner!!
Thank you for your review! We hope you will come again!
What a way to spend my Birthday weekend. Easy walk to great restaurants & bars. I will be back!
We plan to rent again if they will have us.
This property was built in 1918, it is cute and quaint, but we did have some issues. The owner and manager of the property where very responsive to some of our concerns. For the entire week we were unable to get Internet or TV. They did offer to come over and help resolve both issues. We did have some other issues but they were quickly resolved. My recommendation to the owner is there may need to be some power washing and painting to the outside of the house.
Overall my family reunion with my children and there families was wonderful. Kitchen is well stocked
Just steps away from the Village Arboretum with great hiking trails. In addition to being located within one block of the hotels, shops, pubs and restaurants, be sure to visit The Tuft's Archives where the most treasured golf memories are housed.
