We sought a property that would specifically be different from other offerings locally. The quintessential Vermont farmhouse is easy to find and may compromise some of the needs of some travelers. This property was built from the frame of an 1890 building in a quiet and very charming hamlet - and modernized in 2013.

Spacious and Clean, close to Killington

Took advantage of the extended ski season and booked this place last minute. So happy we did. House was plenty spacious for all 7 of us.... 2 adults and 5 kiddies. Entire unit was CLEAN and only 20 minutes to the Skyship gondola. Definitely looking forward to coming back. Owner also had a 1BR unit downstairs. Would be great to rent both units for a bigger group. Owner was super nice too. Very helpful.

Owner's Response: Great guest, They mentioned the sister apartment which has an OPTIONAL extention. On the basement level, nudged against a babbling brook is a newly added spacious bunk room, with 2 queen bottom bunk beds, a full bath, and a combination pingpong/pool table. Check it out on the South Woodstock HA/VRBO website.

Lovely bright property, in a really nice location.

We were skiing for a week in Killington, and wanted to be away from the resort in the evenings. This was a great base. Woodstock (about 10 mins away) has plenty of food options - especially recommend Bentley's. The drive to Killington was 20-30 mins, but the cross-country route takes you through some very pretty countryside, so it was a pleasure more than a chore. The apartment itself is very bright, with windows facing in all directions. It's beside a road, but there are relatively few cars in the evening, and we really didn't hear them. There's a stream right behind the property, and a trail on the opposite bank, so this would probably be a very nice base in the summer too. There's a small local store less than 100 yards away for the basics, then plenty of larger food stores in Woodstock. Bob was an attentive owner, and we had no problems at all during our time here. The photos are accurate - it has a spacious, attractive interior, with an architect-designed feel.

Owner's Response: It is always wonderful when a guest comes back year after year and continues to rave about this beautiful property. Please come try it out. In ski season it is 20 minutes to the Killington Sky ship gondola and less than 30 minutes to Okemo. All wheel drive is necessary in the winter months. Bob

Wonderful apartment, cleaner than clean. The sound of the brook could be heard in every room of the house because of all of the wonderful windows. We have stayed here before and love it!
