We are longtime Breck locals who LOVE this town and these mountains. We spend part of the year in Denver, and rent our home on Peak 7 so that others can enjoy what we consider the best spot in Summit County! Dave is originally from Wisconsin and Courtney, from Kentucky. We have made our home in Colorado because we love all that the Rocky Mountains have to offer. We love to ski, snowboard, snowmobile, boat on Lake Dillon, hike, and camp.
Courtney Harreld purchased this house in 2012
Peak 7 is a great place to stay because of how close it is to the skier parking lots & town. You can park in the free lot or by the Gondola (pay lot) to access Peak 7,8,& 9. The house is 5 minutes from these lots. On Peak 7, you feel like you are miles away from anything yet it is literally 5 minutes to the grocery and liquor store. We see lots of moose, deer, coyote and the occasional bear right from our back deck. You can see the new Peak 6 ski runs from the front porch. There are awesome trails about a mile up the road (with parking) that are maintained by the Breck Nordic Center - accessing the Hallelujah Hut and Kathy's cabin. Perfect for snowshoeing or cross country skiing.... The Peaks Trail intersects these trails and can take you all the way to Frisco if you are up for a longer hike.
We love this home for many reasons, but mainly for it's location and incredible views outside every window. You can see all the way down valley to Buffalo Mountain (Silverthorne) from the kitchen window. The alpenglow goes on for hours and is amazing to watch from the hot tub.
The house is divided up into 4 levels that are all open to each other with the great room ceiling reaching 30 feet high. An open floor plan that still has great privacy for the bedrooms and bathrooms. There is also a fenced yard in the back that has a nice grassy area, perfect for summer picnics and great for kids (flat and fenced), but also has a 'wild' yard with a swing and a tree house beyond the fenced in area.
My group really enjoyed the property. Great location. Close to main street and close to skier access. Would love to stay again!
This property had EVERYTHING we could have hoped for! From the hot tub overlooking the mountain range to the well-equipped kitchen and fun game-garage, the house truly felt like our home for the week. We had 4 children ranging from 5 years to 15 years of age & the sleeping accommodations could not have been more perfect. Our kids played in the tree-house, swung on the swings and we had a campfire in the cool Colorado summer evenings almost every night. The owners have baby/toddler equipment (such as crib, high-chair, stroller ect.) available for renter's convenience. The owners were attentive to our needs and immediately attended to a minor issue with the property. Located on Peak 7 and within a 5 minute drive to the lovely town of Breckenridge. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our time in Colorado and the weather was beautiful. You have a very nice home and everything was very well supplied especially the kitchen. We were able to cook like we wanted to which was a blessing! It was a challenge with our 5 young children under the age of 4 but you helped by supplying a stroller, which actually we had three of our grandchildren riding in and gates for all the stairs which helped our crawling baby and a pack-n-play which was great! All the beds were comfortable if only our little ones had slept better! (: The children especially loved the swing which was just right for them. The tree house was fun too! The game room was a nice addition as well. We recommend your house to anyone. It was close to Breckinridge which was nice. We enjoyed a ride on the gondola up to the mountain. Lots of fun things to do up there if your children are older.
We had a great time at this Breck house, which is really close to Peak 8 and downtown Breckenridge. It is a beautiful home, with lots of space and amenities like the hot tub, grill, and game room complete with skee-ball! We brought our toddler along and the owners were kind enough to get a pack-and-play and a few other baby things to make our stay more comfortable. They were also very responsive to a minor issue that we needed fixed. They sent a technician in hours and he got everything working in no time. Thanks for a great week!
On our bucket list was to spend Christmas in the mountains and this house lived up to our expectations. The location is great and the views are amazing. The house is stocked with all the needs of home( extra blankets, towels, kitchen supplies). The rooms are great in size and layout was perfect for 9 of us.
Courtney was great always there to answer questions during planning and offering help once we got there!
We will be back to this home for future ski trips as everything was close by, easy and relaxing.
We stayed at this property for 3 nights for a mini family reunion - there were 9 of us. Dave and Courtney were very helpful from beginning to end to make sure we had what we needed for all ages (6-93). My kids even slept in the tree house one night and loved it! The neighborhood is fairly quiet (although they were paving the road the week we were there), and we enjoyed moon and star gazing with the telescope. All ages loved the "game garage". Courtney is even mailing back a pair of sunglasses we left at the property. Great location, comfortable amenities and fabulous service!
Our house is located on Peak 7, just outside the town of Breckenridge, and less than 2 miles to the base of the ski area. Mountain setting, with views of the Ten Mile Range and Buffalo Mountain, yet only a 5 minute drive to the historic town of Breckenridge's Main Street, where you will find restaurants, bars, shops, spas, museums, arts district, ski rentals, bike rentals etc. The perfect place if you want to have a 'mountain' experience but have easy access to what the town has to offer. We are on a large private lot, very quiet, spectacular views and plenty of space to relax in the gorgeous Rocky Mountains.

We do not rent to people under the age of 25. Sorry, we tried this and got burned every time and our house got trashed. We require the names and birth dates of each person staying at the house. A copy of the driver's license of the primary renter is also require. Extra guests are an additional $50 per night, per person.
