On the embankment of the Ellewoutsdijk Polder, more than a mile north of the village Ellewoutsdijk (Zeeland), is the round stone ground sailor 'Hope' from 1866. In 1934 the mill was struck by lightning and burns completely. The mill is built as a stone mill and is appropriately called 'The Phoenix'.
Today the mill is still intact hull, but is internally transformed into a pleasant holiday accommodation. In the mill you will find;
• a cozy living room
• modern kitchen
• 2 washrooms
• bathroom with shower
• 3 bedrooms (all with a 2 bed)
Around the mill is a garden of about 1500 m2. From the mill you have a magnificent view over the surrounding countryside. On top of the mill body, enjoy a special view on the Pocket of South Beveland and the Westerschelde.
