We are located in the center of Little Gasparilla Island approximately 100 yards from the bay and 300 yards from the Gulf of Mexico. (See location map) From our home you can fish, crab, or shrimp off one of two private docks, search the miles of white sand beach for exotic sea shells, surf fish the beautiful waters of the gulf, or just relax and enjoy the gorgeous beach that Little Gasparilla Island is famous for.
Access to the island is by your own boat or there is a private water taxi available at a reasonable rate. This lack of a bridge makes LGI unique and adds to it's relaxed atmosphere. There are no paved streets only sand roads with the main mode of transportation golf carts and foot power.
We built this home for our family to use and it has worked perfectly for us and will for you too. There are 4 bedrooms all with king size beds(several can be separated into 2 ex-long twins) with 2 full baths and 2 half baths. There are porches on front and back and 2 decks off the second floor bedrooms. The living area is very open so everyone can be together whether cooking dinner or watching TV.

The house has everything you need to have a great vacation. From a kitchen complete with all appliances, pots and pans, and a complete selection of spices to beach chairs for relaxing on the beautiful white sand beach. Our house has it all!!
Downstairs is another large deck for relaxing and a large outside shower with hot and cold water.
If you want to rent a golf cart while you are on the island call LGI Carts at 941-815-7554.
Little Gasparilla is great! The house has.everything you will need for a wonderful stay. The grill was put to good use. We have only two complaints. There weren't enough working beach chairs for the 7 of us. Thankfully we had brought 2 of our own. There wasn't a very good TV in the living area and we were there for the college football bowl game season. Need to switch out the old out of date TV for a flat screens. Other than that we loved the home and would highly recommend it. The back balcony was great for hanging out and sharing a meal. It would have been perfect if it was screened but they have citronella candles out there which helped. The beaches are amazing but I don't recommend it if you want to be constantly entertained. This is the place to come to kick back and relax.
We had a family Christmas vacation with over 23 of us staying in 3 different houses. Hands down this property was by far the most accommodating, best laid out, with wonderful space! The owners provided all the information needed to get there, be there and get around and were extremely helpful. There were decks all over that enabled us to spend all sorts of time outside. The whole family congregated there for a few dinners, and there was no feeling of crowdedness. A favorite spot was the deck off the dining-living area with it's picnic table, plenty of chairs, grill, - a great space for cards, games, and lots of fun. The walk to the beach, and or the dock, was easy and pleasant. We felt like we were not directly in someone else's back yard, so never felt like we needed to be worrying about bothering the neighbors with our merry making ! An amazing number of beach towels, good cooking ware, lots of spices, a detailed list of amenities, and lots of place to lounge around. We're already planning on a longer stay when our Army National Guard helicopter medic daughter returns from Iraq in a year! I would definitely recommend Sea Haven for a very comfortable stay !
Our family of 8 had a great time at Sea Shell Haven. There was plenty of common area, yet if someone wanted privacy there was plenty of room to spread out. All furnishings were as described, if not better. The owner was extremely proactive in making sure our family was set up for success on our vacation. Thank you Robert for letting us stay at your house. We can't wait to return.
This is the second time we've rented Sea Shell Haven and we absolutely love it. It's become our go-to place for our annual getaway with friends. The home is the perfect size for a large group of 8-10--everyone has plenty of space to retreat but the main living area is so communal. It's very clean and well-maintained and the outdoor shower is just the ticket after a day at the beach. The beach is a short walk but if you're like us, and spend most of the day on the beach, I'd recommend renting a golf cart. It makes hauling the beach chairs, tent, coolers, floats, etc. so much easier, even with the wagon provided with the house. We rented two golf carts from LGI carts for $50/cart/day which allowed us to show our friends around the island and watch the sunset from different vantage points. Mr. Hedges is very responsive and makes the rental process stress-free. Our friends are already asking to come back with us next year!
The house was great, and easy to get to the docks or beach. Robert Headges was easy to deal with and very healpful. I look forward to booking my next stay
Quote from my son. "This is the beat birthday ever".
The house was beautiful conviently located close to the marina and our fishing whole. Fishing was fabulous huge snook red fish and sheep head right off the dock. Rented a golf cart it's $75 a day not 50 and cash only ( a little pricey but necessary) . The only thing I'd change is needs lights on the back porch and mosquitos were horrible
