Where to go & What to do:

Situated within the Cotswold Water Park near Cirencester, Windrush Lake is a perfect place from which to explore the Cotswold countryside with stately homes such as Berkeley Castle, Sudeley Castle, Blenheim Palace and nearby cities and towns including Bath, Bristol, Oxford, Cheltenham, Stow on the Wold and Stratford upon Avon. Cirencester was once Corinium, the second city of Roman Britain, and is now a lovely Cotswold market town with an excellent museum showing many Roman artefacts. In fact with more than 140 lakes and covering 40 square miles, the Cotswold Water Park offers the widest possible choice of recreational activities.

Cotswold Country Park & Beach: this is located nearby. Here you will find a man-made beach for sunbathing and swimming, along with nature walks, BBQ areas, water zorbing, paddleboarding, crazy golf, kayaking, rowing, a coffee/gift shop. Check their website as they may close out of season.

Lakeside Wake & ski: For the action - Spring Lake offering boat skiing (includes slalom skiing, waterskiing, wakeboarding and inflatable rides).

The Lakeside Brasserie: overlooking Spring Lake is the Resort's Brasserie. A perfect venue for all the family, it provides everything from snacks to lunches and evening meals. During the summer there are often BBQs on the outdoor terrace.

Fishing: You can pay to fish on nearby lakes in the Water Park. There is a fully stocked tackle shop within walking distance where you can purchase fishing tickets, equipment & bait.

Whether you enjoy watersports, angling, bird watching, horse riding, tennis, luxury spa treatments nearby, visiting the animals at Butts Farm or playing with the kids at Magicland you won't be disappointed. There is also a luxury Spa just 10 minutes walk away if you want to pamper yourself while the children play!

Spa 6 at The Four Pillars Hotel is a luxurious spa where you can discover a haven for the body and mind. Spa 6 is a truly tranquil setting for an enviable range of beauty treatments and spa facilities designed to pleasure, pamper, enhance your fitness and ensure you enjoy a genuine spa experience. Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, this Cotswolds Spa Hotel is the perfect place to experience some real 'me-time'. 10 min walk

Walking: Ten minutes drive north are some of the most stunning walks in the UK - beautiful rolling Cotswold countryside, hidden footpaths - and very few walkers, so you will really have the feeling of getting away from it all.

Golf: For golfing enthusiasts, there are two local courses - an 18 hole championship course and a 18-hole intermediate course. One round for two people included per booking subject to availability.

In addition also on your doorstep there is:

• Windsurfing and dinghy sailing available on a number of lakes within a few minutes walk or drive.

• Cycling: There is a 12-mile circuit around the lakes, half of it off road, as well as miles of country lanes and bridleways to explore. For the more adventurous, there are plenty of hills that offer more challenging cycling and outstanding views. Bike hire available through an outside provider - they will deliver to the lodge.

• Horseriding: The Cotswolds offers perfect riding country and there is a school close to the Watermark that provides both tuition as well as trekking opportunities for the more experienced rider.

All of the above is just a taster of what's available. Contact Watermark Holidays now!!!
