Elouera sleeps 9 in a contemporary barn style building with magnificent views
My husband and I live in the city but feel at home in the country, which is why we fell in love with Elouera Farm. We are also dog lovers, with two german shorthaired pointers always by our side.
Hannah purchased this Guest House in 2016
Why Hannah chose Tallong
We bought this property to use as an escape from city life. We have a house, separate to the holiday house, that we use from time to time. The property is our little piece of heaven and we love that other people get to experience it too.
What makes this Guest House unique
The views are magnificent and as far as the eye can see. It really makes you appreciate nature - sunrises, sunsets, the stars, the moon, thunder storms and rainbows are glorious as you'll have an uninterupted view. The property is close enough to everything you need but secluded enough to make you feel like you're the only ones for miles! There is also so much to explore in the local area.
Pet surcharge of $100 for up to 4 dogs applies.
High chair available and small table/chairs.
Please do not allow pets on carpet or furniture or money may be withheld for the additional cleaning required.
Please clean up dog mess and put in bin before departure or money may be withheld for the additional cleaning required.
100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date. 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
Thanks Hannah & Wes we loved our stay.
The property & house are just perfect and the outlook is AMAZING!
We loved how secluded the property was, so lots of reading and art time to be had.
Our son loved your goats & cows and how close a kangaroo came up to the property.
In the distance we spotted a lot more kangaroos & deer.
And our pooch just loved the freedom he had to run around the property and sleeping in the sun.
And the fire pit was a hit too.
We'll be back....

Fantastic stay and lovely hosts
Fantastic stay and lovely hosts
The property has a great view and the owners have thought of everything
The kids enjoyed the farm stay element, seeing kangaroos and wombats. There’s a great outdoor area and place for a Firepit where you can watch the sun set and moonrise.
Lovely property in a beautiful location.
Excellent communication with Hannah. Ideal place for a relaxing weekend away.
Elouera Farm Stay
What an amazing farm stay. The house had 4 bedrooms and it was very spacious with the most breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. It was also dog friendly. We had a relaxing 4 day stay. Waking up every morning to the most speculator view and also watching the sunrise. We walked most days, explored the farm, lunched with our neighbours and owners of the farm. Hannah and Wes were great hosts. They invited us over for cheese and wine by the fire and by the end of the night we were having dinner with their family. It was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend the Elouera Farm Stay. We are definitely going back. Thank you Hannah & Wes.
Amazing country farm stay
Our 2nd visit to Elouera Farm. We love it. Only 2 hours from Sydney but a world away. Our kids love walking out in the paddock to see the cows and goats and the adults love lighting the fire every night at wine o'clock.
We (and the goats and the cows) love having you here! So glad you enjoyed your break at Elouera. See you and your beautiful family again soon x
It is only 8.8kms to The Midge Tallong General Store which stocks all necessities and has a dog friendly cafe with great pizzas on Friday nights, and burgers and other cafe food throughout the week. Let Sharon and Jeremy (the owners) know that your staying at Elouera and they'll take good care of you.
It is 11km to Badgerys Lookout which has picnic tables with stunning views and valley walks. Long Point Lookout is also only 13.5kms from Elouera and bestows an inspiring view of the Shoalhaven gorge which is bisected by the Shoalhaven River.
Sylvan Glen wedding venue in Penrose is 20kms away and it is 30kms to Bundanoon. Bundanoon is a step back into the 1930’s, home to Brigadoon, but these days it’s also a Mecca for cyclists of all ages and bushwalkers, being the public's gateway to the Morton National Park. The must see is Glow Worm Glen. Bundanoon also has a number of stores that you can browse through and a great little art gallery. Exeter is also a great local town to visit with delicious food and good coffee at the Exeter General Store. You can browse the local gift shop and antique store while you're there.
We also recommend you check out the Fairy Bower Waterfalls, the walks to which start at Gambells Rest Picnic area or Fairy Bower car park, Morton National Park. Fitzroy Falls is also a popular attraction where you can follow a boardwalk along the creek, through restored native bushland, taking you to a lookout perched about 100m above the top of the spectacular falls.
Goulburn is a 30 minute drive south down the Hume Highway. It has all the major stores including Coles, Aldi, Woolworths and Kmart and specialty shops. It also has a great cafe called Roses which is located just across the road from a large dog friendly park with childrens play equipment.
Moss Vale (30 minute drive), Mittagong and Bowral (both around a 40 minute drive) also have some beautiful cafes, all the major stores and specialty stores including homewares. You might want to look up to see if there are any markets on during your stay. If you're keen for a night out during your stay we recommend Ludo restaurant (if you have a bigger group ask to be sat in their private dining area).
Elouera is also on the doorstep of the Southern Highlands Wine Region which boasts many beautiful vineyards and cellar doors, offering wine tastings, restaurants/cafes and vineyard tours. We highly recommend Sunday afternoon at Artemis Winery where they serve woodfired pizzas and spectacular wines! You may be lucky enough to visit this winery on your way home after a weekend at Elouera if you are heading back to Sydney.
More local information can be found in the Guest Information Booklet that we keep at the farm.
