Renovated Condo In Historic Woodstock Village

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,150 sq. ft.
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

3 Bed 2 Bath In Town

Come check out Woodstock & the Green Mountains! The place has been fully renovated and is finally available for rent.

We found this 1890 farmhouse and immediately fell in love with it. Now that the renovations are complete, the apartment has local Vermont slate floors and a local maple countertop. We also polished the hardwood floors, painted the unit, and purchased new furniture and mattresses. Both bathrooms have also been given a complete makeover.

The Woodstock area has everything you could ask for: swimming holes, lakes, hiking, biking, and skiing. Killington is 20 minutes away, as well as the green mountain forest, Quechee gorge, Silver Lake and route 100. There are numerous trails and mountain hikes within a 5 minute walk.

If you are exploring the area in pursuit of culture and night-life, Woodstock, Killington, Quechee, and Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH can provide all sorts of activities. The house is a 60 second walk to the center of town, including the historic Woodstock Inn, and other great restaurants and shops.

Gotta get up to get down.

About Ryan Scanlon

I am an avid skier and hiker. I always dreamed of having a place in Vermont, until 2013 when it became a reality.

I work for an energy startup based out of California, and I bounce around between Boston, VT, & Portland, ME. I travel to California & Colorado frequently for work.

Ryan Scanlon purchased this apartment in 2013

Why Ryan Scanlon chose Woodstock

I was staying next door, and I wandered over to this house to ask for the internet password.. the rest was history. The previous owner was Mr. Harlow, and he is the person the property is now named after. I live in Boston/Portland, and it never ceases to amaze me that I can be at this house (and a completely different world)- in two hours flat.

What makes this apartment unique

You won't find any space in the area that is as clean as this apartment. We just finished restoring the unit and it shows. It's right in town, and you can walk to hiking trails and the farmer's market in minutes.

Guestbook comments from the owner

She and her family offered everything one would look for in a guest. Clean, communicative, and respectful. They are welcome back any time!

Nice but noisy.

  • 3 of 5

The place was very good. 3 bedrooms, very comfortable. But it was the first floor and you could hear the folks on the 2nd floor walking around until after 11 pm. Since we had to get up early, noise made a difference.

Well maintained, light and airy, well located.

  • 4 of 5

A comfortable, roomy and well maintained three bedroom apartment within easy walking distance to the centre of the village. There were no unexpected surprises. The place and location lived up to expectations and descriptions. Ryan was very available and helpful, answering questions and providing information. The location was ideal, allowing us to walk to all the local shops and museums and trails. I would definitely recommend the place to others.

Best house in the best town for our honeymoon getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The house was great, as was dealing with Ryan. He was very helpful and accommodating. The house was perfect for our honeymoon getaway. The house is an old farm house with a lot of character and history! There is a tenant in second floor, but if it weren't for the car outside, we would have had no idea. They were very quiet. Also, the town is quaint and the people were very nice. Great restaurants as well! Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend the town as well as staying at this amazing house!

Wonderful location, walk to center of beautiful Woodstock

  • 4 of 5

Clean and pleasant New England home. Older home, but well maintained. Not luxurious but comfortable. Updated kitchen. No air conditioning. Hot in July, but fans were helpful. Modern TV and internet.

Woodstock Apartment

  • 5 of 5

My family and I come up to the Woodstock area at least once a year, sometimes twice. We usually stay with family but this year we had a family reunion and there were so many of us, we needed to find an alternative place to stay. I looked at many places and found this gem! It was very clean, beautifully decorated, cozy and just perfect for my family. I have young adult children and the location was perfect. They were able to walk into town and take advantage of the beautiful town of Woodstock. There are so many great things to do in the area. Ryan was a pleasure to deal with. He was very responsive and gracious. This couldn't have been a better place or my family and myself. We will definitely be returning! Thank you Ryan!

Lovely space in a lovely town

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Harlow House for my sister's wedding weekend. With two babies it was nice to have extra rooms and a full kitchen but be SO close to the Woodstock Inn where the rest of the wedding guests and the festivities were. Seriously, less than a block and so close to two great playgrounds. Ryan's home was very clean, had super comfy beds, and was well stocked with towels, toilet paper and anything you needed in the kitchen. My one complaint would be how loud the upstairs neighbors were - at all hours of the day and night - but I'm not sure if they are permanent residents or vacationers like we were. I'd stay there again in a second.
