The South Western views off of our private deck and the sunsets you will experience cannot be replaced, but become a memory. Our location is perfect for daily travels to special historic areas. Please look at the map to locate surrounding sites you may want to visit.
We purchased this property for our future retirement home. I love to boat and due all the water activities but do not want to travel great distances. The home is super cozy and we can do day trips very easy. My wife has put her personal touch in to the home which make a huge difference in the homes comfort.
Because of it is very private and unique.
This home is a perfect example of southwest living and lets you explore what our area has to offer.
We have stayed at this house a couple times now and the owner and the house have always been great. Very comfortable and clean.
On our last stay, the owner had added a couple roll away beds which is a nice touch. The pull out couch in one of the TV rooms is about as comfortable as you expect but, we brough an air mattress to put on it this year and it was perfect.
The washer & dryer make returning from a fishing trip much nicer! Direct TV and Verizon Wifi are nice touches too.
Walk able to fly shops, the 2 restaurants/bars
Will absolutely come back!
This is a really comfortable place to stay when fishing the San Juan below Navajo Dam. Clean, well stocked will all essentials, and right on the river. This is a remote area with limited cell service (for ATT), and slow internet connections. Otherwise, a great place, especially for the fishing -- which is what this area is all about.
We enjoyed a wonderful early fall weekend at this cabin on the river. Very well kept up, clean, nice grill, all the kitchen items you need. Had several campfires to enjoy the cool nights & beauitul moon. The views from the deck are fabulous! The gas fireplace in the living room warmed us up every cool morning. We enjoyed our days on the lake with a pontoon boat, & our evenings cooking together with friends. If it had a hot tub...it would be most excellent! We will be back!
The house is all that is pictured and more. We enjoyed each day by getting up and making a hearty breakfast, going fly fishing for the whole day and returning for a home cooked dinner each evening. Then sit around and enjoy each other's "fish stories" of the day!
The front room is essentially a 4th bedroom consisting of a sofa bed that has a separate door from the living room for privacy. The house has a wraparound deck overlooking the San Juan River and is walking distance from the Back Cast Cafe, The Sportsmen or Abe's restaurant and convenience stores. If coming in from Aztec or Durango it is best to get all your supplies before getting to the house. There is limited food supplies in the immediate area.
All that you needed and the pantry is well stocked with whatever has accumulated from the past renters. Nothing old but a good supply of stuff you always need.
I have been coming to fish each year for the past 6 or 7 years and will now continue to rent this house!
Thanks again to the Owner!
This was a great place for 8 adults to get together to fly fish and enjoy each other's company. This house was so completely equipped with anything you might need. Great towels , extra sheets and pillows and even extra K-cups!! 60 in TV with All the channels, and WiFi plus. We will be back!
I would like to thank the owner for going the extra mile to ensure us a great stay on the San Juan. The house was large, spacious, and wonderfully furnished. The kitchen was well equipped to handle all of our cooking needs. The beds were comfortable and the baths were stocked with soft and absorbent towels-not the typical hotel towels that scrape the water off of you. The large screen TV was great for us to watch the World Series and NFL Football. A real plus for our fishing group.
The home is located were you have access to many joyful ventures that only take a day. Their are Indian ruins to wonder through and the Durango railroad to ride on old steam trains to golfing in Farmington on the nice courses that await your there. There is so much to see and do in the Four Corners area that we suggest the internet for your personal interests in the our area.
