About Chuck Marso

Chuck and Jill live in a farmhouse in northern Colorado. They love the simple life - and even more, they love the simple, relaxing life in the Puerto Vallarta, Mexico area. It's a dream come true for them to have a place of their own in Mexico and they are so happy to share it with you!

They are animal lovers (they have four Golden Retrievers and two cats) and love travel, reading, and a great relaxing meal with a glass or two (or three) of wine. Chuck enjoys the occasional tri-atholon and as he says, 'digging in the dirt', and Jill loves photography, daffodils, and creating all sorts of art.

We love Alamar! We literally looked at dozens and dozens of properties all over Banderas Bay. We had just about given up when our fabulous Realtor suggested one more property... Alamar. When we saw the property and the natural surroundings, the mountains, the mango trees, the marina, the bay... we were in love. The pools and beach and amenities are amazing. Then, when we saw the actual condo we knew we had found what we were seeking. Paradise! The mountain breeze flows through even in the deep of summer and the pools invite cunningly... and then there's the private beach with private cabanas, hammocks, palapas, delicious restaurant, friendly staff, jacuzzis, pools... pure bliss.

What makes this condo unique

Alamar's logo is 'Different by Nature...' because the developer is a Biologist who desires to maintain the natural surroundings and incorporate them into its overall design. There is a mile long hiking/walking trail through the lush hillside on site with plans for more. Under-cover parking, weight/work out room, community center, proximity to the Marina and the famous La Cruz Market and an exclusive, private beach. No other resort has that! Our home is on the 8th floor where the view is so stunning it leaves you breathless. The furnishings are luxurious and comfortable. It truly is home in Paradise!

Fabulous amenities and location!

Our family of four spent a wonderful week at this lovely condo. The infinity pool is spectacular and overlooks Banderas Bay--so lovely! And I'm not an early riser, but I woke up every morning to watch the sun rise over the Sierra Madre mountains and the bay. What a gorgeous sight. The condo is perfectly located, too. You can walk to the private Beach Club (loved the pool and cabanas), to a nearby hotel for dinner (great pizza and cocktails!), and even to the seafood market and many other restaurants. Easy cab ride to supermarkets, gorgeous beaches, multiple restaurants.

And one of the best parts: the condo was wonderfully stocked. Not just linens, towels, etc., but the fridge was stocked with essentials (even coffee, tea and beer), the freezer with some welcome alcohol for cocktails, and the bathrooms all had shampoo, lotions, sunblock, etc. Made life so easy! Being able to wash and dry clothes was great, and we grilled on the patio, enjoying the view, more than once. My son and daughter loved the gym downstairs and worked out every day. I just relaxed with a book--so peaceful!

This is a great area, a little away from all the tourist craziness, but easy to get there if you want to do so. We hired a car, but you honestly don't need to do so. The security guards will call up a cab for you in minutes and they are cheap. We felt very safe the entire time and found getting around very easy. Great folder of things to do at the condo, too. Thanks so much to Roberto, who was very responsive, and to the owners for one of the best vacations! Go there: you'll love it!

Fantastic views and location, loved our stay

Chuck and Jill's condo was perfect for us. The views are fantastic and we made great use of the balcony and grill. We appreciated the extras in the kitchen like condiments and spices, not to mention the liquor cabinet. Like previous guests, we also left something behind, and it was nice to have some variety. We rented a car, so the secure parking and location were ideal. Both pools are awesome, and it was nice to be able to walk down into town. Chuck and Jill recommended Tacos on the Street in La Cruz and it was delicious. And the fresh fish (and other goods) at the Sunday market in La Cruz should not be missed. We hope to be back!

Great Place, with everything you need. Awesome location

If you haven't explored the area North of PV, you need to start googling. This area is not a reflection of what you see and feel in PV. The area is incredible, and the further north you go, the more amazing it gets. The trinkets and trash you buy are replaced by more hand crafts. The pushy vendors of PV are replaced by a wonderful people who just want to make a living, with less pressure. The landscape starts to resemble Hawaii the further north you go, with bigger waves and small towns lend themselves to great food and good times.

The condo could not be located better. You have the ability to go to Punta Mita in 10 minutes. Sayulita in 12 minutes, (if you drive the same speed as most do here) More towns north of Sayulita . If you don't know Sayulita, google it....I have second thoughts about promoting it , in hopes it stays exactly the way it is!!! Rent a car. Don't listen to crazies who tell you not to drive here. The car gives you ultimate freedom to drive anywhere at a whim. Rent from Gecko.

About the condo there isn't much to say except that this condo is beautiful. Great view, good security, great beds.....all was perfect. We cooked meals a lot, and then went for nice dinners. Really nice restaurant in La Cruz. Bucerious also has some nice places to eat. Bucerious is nicer than PV too. 10 minutes from Condo. The Mega Store the has everything you need for groceries, at great prices. Great pool at the building and also at the beach. There is a huge gorgeous long beach West of the condo, towards Punta Mita, called Disilerados. Extremely nice beach to get the best sunset shots with Marietta Islands in view.

One thing is wasn't totally sure about was the distance to the beach, but once you are there, you realize just how close you really are. the walk to the beach is less than 5 minutes, once you find the shortest route on foot.

I have nothing bad to say about the place. Very comfortable. Chuck was very timely in his responses and Sally as well.

Great place, great people. Wonderful holiday. :)

would recommend to anybody, but again, most important for a trip to this area...be willing and courageous enough to rent a car. It will change your vacation dramatically.

Great view

Nous sommes demeurés un mois dans ce magnifique condominium avec une vue imprenable sur la baie de Banderas et sur la marina de La Cruz. Nous avons été impressionnés par la propreté et l'entretien des lieux. Les deux piscines à débordement sont situées à des endroits stratégiques avec une vue sur la baie. Le beach club avec ses petits salons et son restaurant est l'endroit idéal pour relaxer sur le bord de la mer. L'accès au village de La Cruz est seulement à quelques minutes de marche et on y trouve tout ce dont on a besoin, incluant restaurants, bars et épicerie. Le dimanche, nous avons droit au marché de la marina ou nous pouvons découvrir l'artisanat local et la nourriture de différentes régions et les produits du terroir.

Nous avons aussi dégusté du poisson frais et des fruits de mer achetés au marché de poisson de La Cruz.

Nous avons passé des vacances inoubliables.

We were impressed by the cleanliness and maintenance of the premises. The two infinity pools are located at strategic locations with a view of the bay. The beach club with its small rooms and its restaurant is the perfect place to relax on by the sea. Access to the village of La Cruz is only a few minutes walk and we find everything we need, including restaurants, bars and grocery store. On Sunday, we are entitled to the market by the marina where we can discover local crafts and food from different regions and regional products. We also enjoyed fresh fish and seafood purchased at the fish market of La Cruz. We spent an unforgettable holiday.

Scenic Compfort

We are a family of four and were looking for a change from the "all inclusive" default holiday.

Chuck and Jill chose a terrific location for their second home. The view never gets old, and such a relaxed atmosphere in La Cruz. The condo is spacious and well equipped. We were able to fly with carry-on luggage only, knowing we had the washer and dryer - a first for us and so much easier for travel and stay. The condo was most appreciated when we had a rare string of rainy days. We never waited more than five minutes for a bus right outside the condo - about $2 per person gets you to most places.

The grounds and pools were clean. The staff and locals were helpful and friendly. There are many places to adventure out to, or the relaxing pools and beach are just a few steps out the door.
