Jacqui & Nick Barwood
Why Jacqui & Nick Barwood chose Weymouth
We loved this property because we have a passion for older buildings. We took it on when it was part renovated and we took over the renovations and removed a few walls to put the house back to its original room sizes. The house is well located as it is very close to the beach and only a 5-10 minute walk into town and up to the harbour.
What makes this House unique
Stay at Seaside House and the car can be parked for the entire week! Proximity to the beach Plenty of bathrooms - queuing for s shower is not part of the planned activities! Fabulously large dining table enabling great social meals A separate TV room for the kids!!
Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.
Stunning house and great location!
Very enjoyable & relaxing break with family and friends - the house is fantastic with plenty of space for adults and children. Fully equipped kitchen from dishwasher tablets to champagne flutes and a lovely welcome bag of goodies on arrival! Bed linen & towels provided for all the rooms (some with hair dryers). Off road parking. Great location as within two minutes walk from the beach front. Supermarkets within a short drive away so ideal for stocking up when you arrive rather than having to pack the kitchen sink! We all thoroughly enjoyed our break away and will definitely return, the children just loved the playroom.
SPACIOUS, ALL INCLUSIVE and AFFORDABLE
This is our second stay here. The owners are very accommodating, the house is perfect for a large group. (First time all family inc. children, second time adults only.)
Everything you need is walking distance, and you cant beat the price!!
Will be back in the future....
Seaside House September 2018
Great location, well equipped facilities, host was very dependable and approachable and dealt with any queries quickly and efficiently. Really enjoyed our stay
The photos don't do this house any justice
This house was amazing! In my 5 year old granddaughters words "it's got a billion stairs and its soooo big!" The lay out was fantastic, plenty of space for all 11 of us. The rooms were lovely, not one of them was tiny, dark or cramped. Parking wasn't a problem, even with three cars. There was a lovely little welcome bag with tea, coffee, biscuits and popcorn waiting and the kitchen was literally full of everything you could possibly need for so many peoplle, there's even two kettles! The only single thing we didn't have was a whisk to make cheese sauce but certainly didn't affect us. I think some plastic cups for the kids would be handy. The macerator, toilet system in part of the house was noisy but we hardly used the bath or the loo in the family bathroom....everyone had their own bathroom anyway. Given the age of the property it's in a lovely condition and clean throughout.
A word about the owners, amazing people who while on holiday themselves helped me sort out last day issues, replied instantly, tried to work around us and such a lovely friendly response every time. Worth every single penny and many happy memories were made in our favourite holiday destination in the world
We loved the house, covered all our needs. Location is brilliant.

close to everything
Had a really great week here the accommodation is spacious and very clean and tidy even got parked outside we were a large group and we all had space

Kayaking around Weymouth and Portland, Dorset
Kayaking is fun!!! Some of the safest waters in the UK are at hand for novice and experienced sea kayaking and canoeing. There are plenty of bays and coves to explore with a variety of conditions from a gentle paddle along the coast to white water waves
Canoeists and Kayakers can enjoy the wonderful scenery of Dorset's designated World Heritage Coastline and what better way to explore it than from the sea. Novices can practice their skills in the safe arms of Portland Harbour, protected from the elements and tidal flows. Find tranquility with a gentle paddle along the fleet from Ferrybridge although we recommend that you consult a tide table as it can get very shallow at low tide.
With a strong easterly wind the bay of Weymouth, Overcombe Corner and Bowleaze Cove can produce a good swell for the more extreme kayakers wishing to challenge the elements with a spot of surfing.
Easily accessible safe launching facilities, canoe clubs and hire services available. During the planning of your trip please make yourself aware of all the local hazards to canoeists including tidal streams and currents. Always check the weather forecast. For your safety please inform the Coastguard, relative or friend when you embark on a canoeing or kayaking trip and give an estimated time of return.
For those with young children then the beach is always a hive of activities with very traditional fairground rides on the beach and even donkey rides.
There are regular beach activities and competitions taking place including sand sculpting ones.
