Casita Topaz is ideally suited to a couple or a small family.

'Topaz' is an 'open concept' (no bedroom door) design and sleeps 4 with a comfy king in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. We have tried to make your stay as tranquil and enjoyable as possible, including a 'safe' to lock up your valuables. We love Mexico and the authentic Mexican feel and have decorated the Casita/Condo with traditional fabrics (Otomi embroidery), bright colours and Mexican Arte. Our Condo is not your typical 'beige' hotel room.

The Resort our Condo is part of is an 'Insider Knowledge' quaint and luxurious resort, with a beautiful Boutique Hotel & Spa in the prestigious Los Cabos Corridor area of Mexico. We fell in love with this Resort many years ago as it brings an authentic traditional Mexican feel to the holiday, unlike many Resorts that seem 'just like home' but with better weather and sand! When we travel, we want to experience the culture, food and traditions of the area we are visiting!

The Exclusive 'Casa del Mar' is ideally located between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas and is part of a secure gated ocean front development that contains beautiful grounds, 6 swimming pools, restaurants, sports bar, gift shop, spa, hot tub, tennis courts and a gorgeous quiet beach. There is a PGA rated golf course (Cabo Real), 5 minutes away. You have full access to the hotel restaurants, bar, spa, hotel wifi, pool towels and concierge services. There is a $10/day charge for use of the Fitness Room. Guests find the use of Concierge Services particularly helpful for printing boarding passes, not to mention all the other services the wonderful Concierges provide!

Casita Topaz is conveniently located and accessible via the local bus system, taxis, Uber or rental cars. It is between the funky, quaint and quiet town of San Jose del Cabo to the north and the energetic town of Cabo San Lucas to the south. In San Jose del Cabo, there are many shops and two big North American style grocery stores (La Comer and Chedrui) and Cabo San Lucas has even more shopping options. Very close to the Resort is the new El Merkado, a covered open air market including a wine shop, amazing gelato and many dining options to eat in or take away as well as La Comer Fresko, a larger supermarket.

So very relaxing and peaceful

Beautiful, relaxing

The bed is the most comfortable I’ve slept in away from home. Very cute and comfortable condo- short walk from the ocean, pool, and amazing restaurants. The servers/staff are excellent. We really loved Josefat, he’d bring us drinks and food by the pool. It was a great distance between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose. We would come again

Amazing Vacation

From the moment we booked our trip our host went above and beyond with welcoming us and communication. The place and location are exceptional. The property was very clean and the view was stunning. Couldn’t have asked for a better location, view and host. This was my first time using VRBO and it was just seamless. I can’t say enough positive praises. This place holds a special place in our hearts.

Beautiful Place

We had a wonderful stay at Wayne and Zoey's home. Everything was as advertised - beautiful and cozy space with great views of the ocean and desert landscape. Comfortable bed and a great bathroom and shower. Kitchen was well-stocked along with thoughtful water, salsa, guac and beer in the fridge when we arrrived. Zoey was quickly responsive when we had a question, and we loved the Casa Del Mar property... quiet and peaceful grounds, nice pools, and friendly people ... all right on the ocean. Would definitely stay here again.

All that we expected and more!

Every detail about the property was as described. Host was very responsive and provided us with details to make our ground transportation and excursion selections a breeze. Recommend you check out the activities calendar from the hotel on the day you arrive. Lots of fun things happening daily at the resort.

We are a midlife semi-retired professional couple who love Baja and who have rented successfully through VRBO for years (including 3 units in this wonderful Resort)! Wayne is a retired real estate broker/manager and Zoey is newly semi-retired after working in the social services and health fields. We are Canadians who live in the Vancouver area. We have 3 adult daughters and love sailing, tennis, yoga and spending time with friends. Wayne is an avid tennis player and when we are at Casita Topaz plays most mornings on the great courts here. Zoey enjoys hiking and walks on the fabulous beach that stretches for miles in front of the resort.

Why they chose this property

We first visited the Los Cabos area in 1990 after finding that Hawaii was becoming too pricey for us. At that time, we had two little girls and picked the Cabo area as it was the sunniest, closest, shortest flight from the Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada!

Over the past 30 years, we visited most of the areas in the southern third of the Baja and added a third daughter to our family. We were really challenged when we finally decided to buy our own condo as there are many gorgeous locations and Resorts on Baja.

As a realtor, Wayne knew that being clear on our desired elements of a condo was very important! Our criteria to purchase included: beachfront, tennis, swimming, golf, quietness, physical beauty and a feeling of a peaceful oasis in the desert yet close enough to a larger center for groceries, shopping, restaurants and an airport!

After many years of searching and experimenting, we found our ‘desert jewel’ and are so excited to let you know that ‘Casita Topaz’ aka Pelicanos 202 in the luxurious Cabo Real area of the Los Cabos Corridor is available as a Los Cabos vacation rental!

We fell in love with this development on our very first trip to Los Cabos in 1990. At that time Casa del Mar was ‘lines in the dirt’, however, we were captured by the physical beauty of the area and could envision the stunning end result!

We are so excited to share this beautiful condo with you and your friends and family!

What makes this property unique

We purchased Casita Topaz in March 2013 and had no intention to buy when we arrived in Los Cabos for a vacation but were curious about the current real estate market as Wayne works in this industry in Vancouver. We set up some showings with local realtor Wendy Knapp and looked at a couple of places before we walked into Casita Topaz. We stepped in the door and fell in love! The unit caught our attention because of the fabulous panoramic view and gorgeous kitchen! We could see the potential for a fabulous luxury vacation condo. The final perfect touch was seeing a whale swimming just off the beach!

Over the years of spending time at Casita Topaz, we have grown to appreciate the seclusion, the tranquility, the fabulous landscaping of the grounds, the gorgeous stretch of quiet beach, the stunning views and the sunsets, even more.

Driving through the Security Gates onto the cobbled road into the development, feels like arriving into a desert sanctuary filled with wonderful landscaping, a Boutique Hotel, pools, fountains, and of course the beach and ocean and Casita Topaz.

Located on the second floor of the Pelicano Building, 'Topaz' is quiet and serene, providing you with all the comforts of home.
