About Jeremy and Cori Veatch

Welcome to Duffer Hollow!

We are excited for you to stay in our family retreat here in Bethpage, TN, it's just outside Nashville and offers a great experience of the beautiful hill country. Our family has owned this property for a century, originally farming tobacco and sorghum here. My great-grandfather, Russell Duffer, started living in this house in the early 1900s and my grandmother, Mary Lynne, born in 1911, lived here before moving to Memphis to be a nurse after WWI. We are proud to offer our family home to you.

Love - Jeremy, Cori, Finn and Felicity

Jeremy and Cori Veatch purchased this estate in 2016

Why Jeremy and Cori Veatch chose Tennessee

Duffer Hollow juxtaposes the old world country with premium modern amenities. You can be soaking in our toasty jacuzzi and be looking at our 100 year old barn that Great-Grandfather used to keep his animals warm. You will enjoy hiking the 15 acres of hill country and pick wild blackberries from the vines scattered across the property. The spacious living area will keep everyone entertained with billards, ping pong and fiber optic internet. End the evening in the steel clawfoot soaking tub and sit by the fire of the orignal fireplace. We have generations of memories here and we hope you make some as well! We’ve shared more history and details about the property throughout the house. My son Finn and daughter Felicity love picking the blackberries from the vines by the barn

What makes this estate unique

This house has 7 br, 4 bath, and several secluded areas. One of the major focal points of Duffer Manor is the library. In the library you will be able to cozy up by the fireplace while reading your favorite book. Whether you enjoy shooting a game of pool, playing ping pong or just relaxing in the jacuzzi, Duffer Manor will appeal to all. For outdoor entertaining there are options of grilling, having a bonfire or hiking the 15 acres and experiencing the hill country how my family has for 100 years. There are 2 separate masters and 4 additional guest rooms. Many separate decks and porches are available for entertaining or relaxing. Away from it all you feel so secluded, but you are only a short drive to entertainment and downtown Nashville.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place for our family reunion. Everything was as described. Plenty of peace and quiet, but not too far from Gallatin and Nashville.

Great place for a large group!

  • 4 of 5

The property was beautiful and we spent most of our time either in the large kitchen/dining area or playing pool and ping pong.

Perfect Peaceful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Duffer Hollow was not only the perfect location for strategic meetings for our company, it was a restful retreat for our team. We spent 3 days enjoying the home and surrounding property. This location outside of Nashville is the perfect place for a family reunion or corporate meetings. We enjoyed the privacy and appreciated the clean and comfortable spacious home. The sounds of water running down the creek that surround the property while relaxing in the hot tub outside was an added bonus. Pride of ownership and family history is obvious here... Southern Hospitality at it's best!

Spacious home, one bedroom has no doors, just an open doorway, making it hard to sleep

  • 3 of 5

Overall this is a great house and met the needs for our 16 adults very well. We were surprised and disappointed to find that one of the large bedrooms had no door at all, just a large opening into an adjoining hall area. This hall area is open to the library below, which allowed all the sounds from the first floor to travel upstairs to this bedroom, with no way to block it. This made sleeping arrangements difficult, as some in our party wanted to stay up and play games, while others desired to sleep. It also made for a lack of privacy for this bedroom. We wish this lack of a door had been listed in the posting so we could have known and planned for it ahead of time. Who doesn't put a door on a bedroom??

The housekeeper that lives nearby was amazing and very helpful!

2016 Anderson Christmas Party

  • 5 of 5

The Anderson Christmas Party was a great success. We all enjoyed our stay at the Manor and had a wonderful time. As this was the Holiday season it was an awesome surprise to see a Christmas tree and decoration for the holiday season ready and waiting for us and the children to enjoy. We were able to enjoy the out door activities available as the temperature was very nice for us. The Hot Tub, Fire Pit and Grill were available and used for our pleasure. We would like to Thank the family for having us and we will definitely be in touch for future renting.
