"Fila Tortuga" is a one-bedroom treehouse located at Finca Bellavista Treehouse Community in the South Pacific region of Costa Rica.
Features include two balconies, a kitchenette, a queen-sized bed, and an outdoor hot water shower, and stunning woodwork throughout the home. The secondary sleeping space is a double futon located in the main living area. Fila Tortuga is located in a great area for spotting wildlife and offers a true rainforest immersion experience. This treehouse does not have electricity or refrigeration.
With nearly 600 acres of secondary and primary rainforest - including hiking trails, gardens, rivers, swimming holes, and waterfalls - this off-grid vacation rental community is a magical place where guests can explore the natural wonders of the rainforest. Guests should have an adventurous spirit and be in good physical condition to best enjoy their visit.
It is worth noting that Finca Bellavista is not a fancy hotel or a 5-star resort, however modest and customized amenities provide for a simplified lifestyle in a rustic, yet comfortable ambiance. Your reservation includes daily yoga classes, parking, wifi, and the freedom to explore the property at your leisure. Food and beverage services, as well as a variety of tours/services are also available.
Free parking is available at base camp, however Finca Bellavista is a pedestrian community. Fila Tortuga is a 25-30 minute hike from base camp. Hiking times are averages and can vary based on physical fitness level and amount of gear needed to carry. The access trails at Finca Bellavista are gravel and rock, very inclined and rustic.
