The spacious and opulent villa has been renovated to a high standard, even down to the furnishings, which compliment the unique and original feel of the property. There is marble throughout the ground floor living areas, which lead to a sweeping staircase with stained glass windows.
The nine bedrooms, a mixture of one suite, six doubles and two singles, are situated on the first and second floors, each room has an en-suite bathroom and air-con. The suite also has its own private terrace.
The excellent kitchen facilities provide guests with the scope to enjoy great meals in the spacious dining and living areas both of which are ideal for entertaining.
The ground floor gives access to the terraces, plunge pool and garden - also fully equipped, so that eating outside is both comfortable and pleasurable.
Additional facilities include off-street parking, optional extras at additional cost include heating the pool and providing resident or daily chefs and cleaning staff (both optional extras need to be discussed at time of booking).
The villa is situated on a beautiful and quiet road 1.5km from Palais des Festivals, 2 minutes walk from Rue D'Antibes with all its luxury shops, restaurants and cafes, and under 5 minutes walk to Boulevard de la Croisette on the beach front.
The nearest airport is Nice which is under 30kms away, and the villa is only 10 minutes walk from Cannes SNCF Train Station.
We have for the second year in a row rented villa La Chanson during TFWA and are very satisfied.
The villa is centrally located and has many bedrooms with good standard and all with en suite facilities.
A nice and clean accommodation that we would return to.
We have just returned from a family holiday in this property in Cannes, and all 17 of us had an absolutely fantastic time at the villa....Our group consisted of my family and that of my brother - plus a few partners, and also my parents... so ages ranged from 19 to 78 years old. The property is a beautiful townhouse, and although built in the 1930's, was really lovely and everything was in perfect working order. A/C in the living areas and also in every bedroom.
It worked really well for our family - everyone ( or couple) had their own bedroom (10 bedrooms in total which are over second and third floors, with one additional single on the ground floor). Each bedroom has its own shower-room, was a great plus when so many of us were in the house. The pool, although small, was perfect for a dip after a day at the beach or shopping.
My only criticism, and it is a small one, is that the kitchen is very small if you want to cater for all those staying in the property. However there is certainly no shortage of excellent restaurants within very close proximity.
The location was also fantastic, close to shopping on the Rue d'Antibes, and a very short walk to the beach. This meant that all family members , whatever age, could come and go as they pleased. There is certainly no need for a car unless you plan to explore the area outwith Cannes.
Francine , the housekeeper was really lovely, kept the house, pool and courtyard looking nice, and was a great help when we had questions.
So all in all a fantastic family holiday for all 17 of us, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this property for a large group.
Villa La chanson is very well located in the heart of Cannes. Is pretty close to beaches and to city's main street (La croisette). Property was clean and the housekeeper came every day to check if everything was fine and to help in cleaning the ground floor. Swimming pool was a bit too cold though.
The villa is situated on a beautiful and quiet road 1.5km from Palais des Festivals, so is ideal for Congresses, and just a 500 metres from Rue D'Antibes with all its luxury shops, restaurants and cafes, perfect for holiday enjoyment, and under 1.5kms to Boulevard de la Croisette on the beach front.
Cannes is a wonderful mix of luxury city living and beach relaxation, and is quintessentially French, with incredible food and wine on offer in the area.
There are also plenty of activities nearby, such as tennis courts, golf and water sports.
The city is lively throughout the year and fantastic all year round to visit, with so much going on there is always something for everyone.
The nearest airport is Nice which is under 30kms away, and the villa is only 2kms from Cannes SNCF Train Station.
