Situated high on the very top of Bill’s Mountain surrounded by 1,000 acres of pristine wilderness right outside your door. Two delightful cabins - just right for a romantic couples getaway or a small family vacation. Many of our quests have enjoyed celebrating their anniversary or honeymoon on top of the mountain. The cabins are very spacious, newly renovated, and new comfortable furnishings. Take in the fantastic views while setting in the hot tub.

A 4WD/AWD vehicle is necessary to get to your location. We are available 7 days a week to drive you to and from your cabin to the parking area at the bottom of the mountain at no additional charge.

Most AWD vehicles, such as Subaru, will have no difficulty driving to the top, but two wheel drive vehicles will need to park at in the lower parking area and Bob or Kristen will take you to the top. They live just down the road and are available seven days a week to assist you.

Enjoy 30-mile spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains and Mountain Mitchell. Very rural setting only 5 minutes to I-26 and 12 miles to downtown Asheville. Close to hiking, fishing, waterfalls, zip line, white water rafting, golf, horseback riding, Biltmore House, Grove Park Inn and more.

You will appreciate the quit natural surroundings that include fabulous mountain fresh air, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, native wildlife and trails for hiking to your heart’s content. Relax in the cool mountain air in the evenings and have a bonfire, relive your childhood, play horseshoes, enjoy our tree swings, play games, and have a cookout in the secluded area chocked full of nature. For you photography folks, take plenty of pictures of the natural surroundings along with the wildlife and our free roaming pet – Burt the Emu. Give Burt a banana and he will be your friend forever.

We are dog lovers and welcome well-behaved dogs. This cabin has a doggy door and fenced area for your pet.

Bring a mat and practice your Yoga in complete solitude. For early morning risers, look down the mountain and check out the morning cloud cover as you eat breakfast on the patio.

Take a trip to Asheville and enjoy the world famous Biltmore Estate & Winery, The Grove Park Inn, downtown shopping that includes arts and crafts, furniture, antiques, and the finest dining in all of North Carolina. Then go by downtown Weaverville – small town with a big heart where people say hello and will make you feel welcome. While there, stop and enjoy Blue Mountain Pizza and the famous Well-Bred Bakery and Café – where you can sample the Mountain Éclair and other bakery items that will leave you astonished and wanting more.

Great vacation get away

  • 5 of 5

My daughters and I spent a wonderful, long weekend at this cabin. It was clean and comfortable and had plenty of space for the 3 of us. The views are exceptional and there is so much to do in the area! I thought the pictures and descriptions were generally accurate. I would love to go back. Be warned though that the road to the cabin is not for wimps. I drive a Honda CRV with AWD. We were able to make it up to the cabin, but in one or two places, it was pretty touch and go. Kristen was great! She coached me on how to get up the mountain and she led us up more than once!. By the end of the weekend, it had become kind of fun! Still, I would not have attempted it after dark or if it was too rainy. For us, that was fine. We were there to relax and hang out together, but I can see how it might be a negative for some. That said, I hope we can go back again soon!

The most beautiful secluded cabin up on a gorgeous mountain! The owners were so helpful and gave us many great places to visit when we went into downtown asheville. So much to see and hike just around the cabin itself, it was just the weekend getaway we needed! We will definitely be back!

Incredible Views

  • 4 of 5

Loved Weaverville, 10 minutes from Asheville which was perfect. Bandarsville was my favorite took dirt roads everywhere even to Craggy Peak via some info from a lovely local lady who was birdwatching on Pisgah which is where Bob sent us for our first hike. The switchback to the house is not for the faint of heart however there was an Audi there with very little clearance that I watched come and go so if you can drive you can do it. We completely enjoyed our stay. Glorious views both day and night.

Thank You, Dan and Sheri

Great views, comfortable house, great hosts

  • 5 of 5

We loved our week here. The house is very spacious and comfortable and the views are amazing. Nothing like sitting in the hot tub looking out at a gorgeous subset over the mountains. If you don't have 4-wheel drive, your vehicle won't make it up the 1-mile road up the mountain. But Bob and his wife and daughter are available at any time to take you up and down. We weren't sure about this at first, but it worked out great. Someone was always available when we needed to go up or down. And on the rides up and down. Bob offered us a lot of good advice about area restaurants and things to do. His advice was spot on. On his recommendation, we tried a restaurant in downtown Asheville that had fantastic shrimp and grits. A very nice house, a hot tub, fantastic views, peace and quite, an accommodating and gracious host - what more could you want? We highly recommend this rental, and we hope to be back some day.

Had a great time

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful property and very convenient to downtown Asheville. Beds, linens and towels were all provided and clean. The kitchen had all the essentials. The porch offers an exquisite view and the hot tub was a nice addition. The hosts were extremely gracious and took us up and down the mountain when we needed a ride. Would not recommend taking a 2 wheel drive car up as the slope is very steep.

Unreal Views, Very relaxing!

This place did not disappoint! Waking up every morning to an unbelievable view does not get old. Very relaxing sitting out on the deck or in the hot tub. Fire pit and hammock swings were key also!
