Because it has the best views, and it's a paddler's & fisherman's dream! There's nothing like fishing off your own dock, or launching a kayak right from the backyard among the dolphins & manatees. There are several private islands within paddling distance where you can dock, explore or have a picnic. Our favorite restaurants are within walking distance or a short bike ride away. Walk or ride the beach bikes to the Ocean. Shopping & everything you need is conveniantly nearby!

Enjoy watching the Space Coast Rowing Teams pass by in their skiffs, and many water enthusiasts in a variety of different water craft. Also, have a front-row seat to all Space Coast rocket launches from your 60-foot deck overlooking your particular harbour. A waterlover's dream!
We enjoyed a nice, relaxing visit over Christmas holidays. The house is nicely stocked and sits on a canal where everyone was able to enjoy the dolphins, fish, osprey, and other wildlife from the huge back deck. We went out several times in the kayaks the owners provided. Washer / dryer were super helpful. Very near a beautiful city park where we walked most mornings. We highly recommend this home for a fun trip.
My two sisters and three cousins from North Dakota met us at Kevin & Cathleen's property for a long weekend. The house was just like the pictures, clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for 6 women trying to catch up on family stories. Kitchen was well stocked for the meal we prepared upon their arrival. Views from the deck were beautiful. We all slept really well on comfortable beds. We couldn't have asked for a better place to be for our family get together. Thanks again. Becky, Kathy, Rosie, Sally, Pat and Kari.
The property provided us a very relaxing, comfortable and clean place for our family gathering. The owners are very nice and super helpful. The property is probably 50 years old, but has been updated and is very tastefully decorated. The deck overlooking the canal and marina is a very pleasant spot as well and we took good advantage of the kayaks available to us. Dolphins spotted every day when we paddled.
This was a wonderful home to stay in.... Inside of the home was very, very comfortable. The outside views from the back deck were spectacular! The owners, Kevin and Cathleen, were very welcoming, kind and friendly. I can't say enough nice things about our time spent here! It was just the perfect place for my family ....
The house had everything a family would need for an awesome beach vacation. The garage was packed with bikes, paddles,, beach toys, fishing poles etc. the kitchen was super clean with everything you would need for a large meal. The house is located in a great area with restaurants and grocery stores nearby. My family and I will be Back. Kevin and Cathleen were extremely nice and helpful!
Our family of six had a wonderful time at Cathleen and Kevin's home. Cathleen was so helpful with suggestions about places to eat and things to do, especially on the rainy days. We really enjoyed using the paddle boards and kayaks. It was exciting to see dolphin and manatee as we paddled in the harbor. Everything we needed for the beach was provided: towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, and sunscreen. We visited two of the Disney parks while staying in Indian Harbor and it was an easy hour or so drive. We also appreciated the use of the washer and dryer. We would highly recommend this wonderful home to anyone vacationing on the east coast of Florida. Thank you for opening up your beautiful home to us and for your hospitality!
The Indian River Lagoon is North America’s most diverse estuary with more than 4,300 species of plants (2,100) and animals (2,200), including 35 that are listed as threatened or endangered — more than any other estuary in North America. The Lagoon serves as a spawning and nursery ground for many different species of oceanic and lagoon fish and shellfish. The lagoon also has one of the most diverse bird populations anywhere in America. Nearly 1/3 of the nation’s manatee population lives here or migrates through the Lagoon seasonally. In addition, its ocean beaches provide one of the densest sea turtle nesting areas found in the Western Hemisphere. Red Drum, Spotted seatrout, Common snook, and the Tarpon are the main gamefish sought by anglers. Between 200 and 800 Bottlenose dolphins live in the Lagoon & can be swimming and playing regularly.
