Kristilee Correa purchased this house in 2012
One of the few New Homes available in the Village as a Vacation Rental.
The home also has a 2 car enclosed garage and a washer and dryer available.
Beautiful home in a fantastic location. Very easy to get to. Perfect location for visiting Volcano National Park and going to all the beaches in the southern part of the island. Very clean home and comfortable. We definitely felt like we were at home. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend for a family of 4.
This home seems brand new and everything was in excellent condition. There was a strong, dank odor when entering the house, but it quickly dissipated once we opened windows and ran the ceiling fans. It is surrounded by rain forest and it was a treat to listen to the rain at night and wake up to the verdant greenery outside the windows. This home is conveniently located about one mile from the general store in Volcano and about 5 minutes from the national park. Note that there is no central heating or air conditioning. Just wood fireplace for heat, which we did not use. We would have liked to have had a gas grill to barbecue on and some information on where to buy groceries, good places to eat, etc. would have been helpful. Overall, a very nice 3 night stay.
Clean, well laid out, pretty well equipped. We had friends for dinner and had them bring their own place settings, because this property only has six - the number of beds. Some places have more.
The only specific problem we found was that the outside garage door control didn't work. Probably dead AA batteries, but we didn't have replacements. Please check.
We had a great stay in this brand new beautiful home! Mahalo Nui Loa to the owners. Everything was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our time. We will defiantly return to this home next time we stay in Volcano.
This is a perfect home for a restful night after long days exploring Volcano National Park. The new, clean, spacious home could easily accommodate 6, though we just had
3. The kitchen was well appointed, but we only ate breakfast there, partly because we were surprised to find so many great dinner options in Volcano, and partly because we couldn't figure out how to get the wood burning fireplace going, and it was a bit cool and damp. Check if the provided lighters work early in your stay and you should be fine; we came too jet lagged. Last comment, the washer dryer were clean, new, full size front loading machines- VERY nice if you stay a while like to travel with just a carry on!
This house is new with a modern, well-stocked kitchen. Unlike many houses in Volcano, it has a garage which was great to use because we returned home from the National Park muddy a few days and had a great place to clean up before entering the house. It was cold during our visit and the only way to heat the house is a wood fireplace. We struggled the first few days with the fire (everything in Volcano is very wet), but figured it out eventually. The owners were quick to respond to emails/phone calls. I highly recommend this house and would definitely stay there again!
