Simply the location!
You can walk to Ginza and there are about 10 subway/railway stations to go and get around Tokyo.
The building itself was brand new when we purchased it in 2010,
so it is earthquake proven and has all the modern facilities.
We used the flat for 1 week in late September. It was immaculately clean and beautifully appointed. There was nothing that we needed that was not provided. It was perfectly situated for all the sightseeing we did, including probably the best access tond Tokyo! It was in a wonderful neighbourhood full of charming shops and little restuarants, and a very short walk to the retail hub of Ginza. We found it to be a wonderful refuge from the madness of Tokyo and a great place to come back to each day after a hard day of sightseeing. I would recommend this unit to just about anyone.

Wow I am not sure where to start. This is one of the nicest apartments I have ever stayed in and it is a fantastic value for the money. The pictures of the apartment don’t really do it justice. It is very clean and very modern and even nicer than the pictures. We stayed in the apartment for 10 days and we were very comfortable. The shower and the bathtub are especially outstanding.
Joyce is great host. She made reservations for us before we got to Tokyo in some of the places we wanted to dine. Some of the places don’t speak English so this is especially helpful. Another thing that Joyce did for us is rent a Wifi device, on our behalf, so we didn’t have to pay roaming charges as we went around the city. The Apartment itself has a great internet connection and you should use that while in the apartment, but we found it extremely helpful to use google maps by connection to a mobile wifi device. FYI you cannot download google maps off line for Tokyo because it violates some agreement, so you need a live internet connection to get maps to work. We were also able to use google translate on our phones to communicate with people who spoke no English. Also google translate will allow you to take pictures of a menu and then it can translate them on the fly. The mobile wifi made everything so so much easier. Joyce just charged us what it cost her to rent the wifi device and it was just there are the apartment when we got there. It was far less expensive than renting one at the airport when you arrive.
As others have mentioned there was some bottled water and some snacks already there when we arrived. We arrived late at night. I think it was close to midnight when we reached the apartment and Joyce was still there to meet us. She went over everything in the apartment. She has taken the time to use a label maker and made labels in English for most of the things that need translating around the apartment. That was super helpful, like can you imagine trying to use a washer/dryer that only had instructions in Japanese and you don’t read kangi?
The apartment was also really well located. There are 4 subway stations within comfortable walking distance. If you want to go to Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo Disney Sea it is a short walk to Hatchobori station, which we used frequently. My point is depending on where you want to go in Tokyo you have a good chance to minimize transfers and going out of your way because you can get on 4 different subway lines an
Great new clean cute apartment in a central part of town, in walking distance to Tokyo station and Imperial East Garden, near subway station, quiet.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Joyce was highly responsive and helpful.
Pros: Just as described, the flat was like new, spotless and spacious for the 3 of us (adults); beds were very comfortable; best place we stayed in Japan; I'd stay again without hesitation, Joyce greeted us and spent ample time showing us the flat and answering questions about the area and transportation and then she arranged for a taxi pick-up our final morning; she is a charming hostess who speaks excellent English, very professional, quickly gets back to your email inquiries. Safe, quiet location. Loved the washing machine and heated bathroom for drying our clothes. Loved the groceries she provided free of charge! Excellent rental!
Cons: There aren’t good directions to the place; Google Maps took us to the Seven Seas Hotel nearby, not the flat. We had to call Joyce for specific instructions, so have her phone number handy. Also it wasn't clear that there is a sign out front with “Brecia Ginza East” on it--we didn't know to look for the sign. A more detailed map with street names would help. Also, we didn't have the address in kanji, only in English, so I'm not sure a taxi driver who doesn't read or speak English could have gotten us to the place. The flat info should have it in both English and kanji.
Joyce's condo had everything I needed. A very clean and comfortable place. It's located in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to Ginza and the subway station. And most notable, Joyce is a super nice, helpful and attentive host. I would definitely stay again!
We stayed in Tokyo at Joyce's flat for six days at the beginning of August. The flat was in the best location, in a residential neighborhood just 15 minutes leisurely walk from the big department stores Matsuya and Printemps and once there you were squarely in the center of things.
Just minutes walk from the flat were several 7-Eleven and other convenience stores, a metro station and very nice neighborhood restaurants. .
Joyce was a wonderful host, very accommodating and easy to contact throughout the visit for things such as helping with restaurant bookings or giving advice on where to go . We were very grateful for the free walking tour she gave us on our second day to temples , parks, street markets , and rooftop gardens.
The flat was quite new and impeccably clean, the bed and roll away futon very comfortable. We enjoyed dinners at home some nights , bringing back the wonderful take away food from the department store food halls, and having long conversations around the dining table We particularly enjoyed the japanese style bath too!
We absolutely recommend this flat, and thank Joyce for helping make our stay in Tokyo happy and very comfortable.
Why stay in a hotel room when you can have a luxury holiday flat with a fully equipped kitchen plus a washing machine? There is a living space and most of all - very comfortable beds. The property is located in a quiet residential area close to Ginza where many old houses and small businesses still remain. However, within 5-10 minutes’ walk, you can get to Ginza, one of the top tourist attractions in Tokyo. There you can shop and enjoy dining out and drinking at a wide variety of cafes, bars and restaurants of your choice. You will find 10 subway and Japan Rail stations within a 10 minutes’ walk with the nearest subway station is just around the corner! Some of the most popular tourist attractions in Tokyo such as Tsukiji Fish Market, Hama Rikyu Gardens, the Imperial Palace, and off course, Ginza are all walking distance from this holiday unit. It is a perfect base for your vacation in Tokyo!
