Our apartment is situated on the brand new development called Vuemont.
Vuemont is a secure residential development overlooking the west and Northwest coasts, offering a panoramic view of the Caribbean sea. No. 237 is a ground level, traditionally styled two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, with air conditioned bedrooms & a large spacious furnished patio, overlooking the three tiered community pool with a panoramic Caribbean sea view. or lounge area has 2 Large variable speed Ceiling fans. Also we have a large brand new shared infinity swimming pool with heated jacuzzi, all about 50 meters away. Vuemont also has a fully equipped gym & tennis courts for guests to use, situated within 100 meters of our apartment.
Vuemont is within easy reach of historic Holetown and a short drive away from Speightstown. West coast beaches, golfing and restaurants are just a short drive away. The safety, comfort and convenience of this escape is a welcome respite for young professionals, families and all those in search of peace and relaxation.
An Exchange Day when we exchange Arrivals & Departures is flexible & may be on any day of the week.
FLIGHTS & AIRPORT TRANSFER:
If you book our apartment we will help you find a flight if you ask us to do so. I can only do this if you are departing from & returning to U.K.. We do this in order to help you find a good flight deal if you have not actually booked flights. We will NOT be responsible if & when you go to book your flight if the details we find for you have changed. We have nothing to do with setting flight prices, any prices for flights that we may mention are not connected with our apartment hire price in any way.
AIRPORT ARRIVAL & TRANSFER (Approximate Prices Only)
We can arrange for our Property Managers or their representatives to collect your group & luggage from Barbados airport & take you to the apartment. We can arrange with them to do the same again for your return trip to the airport. We supply this airport transfer service to & from the apartment at an approximate fee of BDS $200.00 ABOUT £64.00 British Pounds for a group size of up to three people For just a one way trip either from or to Bridgetown airport the fee will be half price. If you require this service for a group size of FOUR PEOPLE the fee will be about BDS $240.00 about £76.00 British Pounds for both directions or BDS $120.00 one way.. In order to reserve this service, please book it with us via email when you reserve the apartment. Payment will be directly to your driver,. We do NOT recommend you to try driving yourself to the apartment from the airport if it is your first visit to Barbados.

Our Property Manager needs your Flight Details including
Airline, Departure Airport, Flight Number & expected arrival time at Bridgetown Airport. With this information our Property Manager can track your flight to have a better idea of your arrival time.
ARRIVAL AT THE APARTMENT
If you decide to find your own way to our apartment, we shall need to know about what time you will arrive so that our Property Manager or representative can meet you with the key & show you around the apartment.
HIRE CAR & DRIVING IN BARBADOS:
We can arrange for a recommended Barbados Car Hire Firm to contact you after you book our apartment in Barbados.
Normally the Barbados Car Hire Firm will contact you via e-mail at your normal address.
Driving in Barbados is very much the same as in United Kingdom .
Barbados drives on the left hand side of the road, as in U.K.
Traffic regulations are very similar to those in U.K.
Some slight differences do exist.
MAID SERVICE & GROCERY PACKAGE WAITING FOR YOU:
If you book 17 nights or more you will get one free maid service once every 2 weeks, actual cleaning days can be arranged with our Property Manager upon arrival. Extra Maid Service may be available as an Optional Extra. You pay our Property Manager in Barbados directly for any extra Maid Service. Depending on availability this will cost from $80.00 Barbados Dollars to about $100.00 Barbados Dollars per extra clean.
SMALL GROCERY PACK
Our Property Manager will prepare a grocery package to be waiting for you IF YOU REQUEST IT. You will need to pass on a grocery list with your requirements. Please settle the charges for this service directly with our Property Manager upon your arrival at the apartment.
INTERNET & TELEPHONE:
We have FREE wireless internet available in the apartment if you bring your own Wireless Internet device. Also our telephone can be used for any call within Barbados FREE of charge.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1: Our minimum stay requirement is 7 nights.
2a: Our apartment caters for a maximum of 4 people.
2b: Bookings will NOT be taken for more than 4 people.
2c: No children under 12 years of age
3a: Sorry no pets
3b; Our apartment is our main home on a Residential Complex, with 24 hour security. it is NOT a Holiday Complex. If you book our apartment you will be booking it as guests, you will have no ownership rights whatsoever for the duration of your stay. Only people named on our Booking Form will be allowed in by SECURITY. You are NOT allowed to bring others on to The Complex. Only the named people on our Booking Form are allowed into the complex AND OUR APARTMENT.
4a: Please be aware this is a Residential Complex owned by The Property Owners. Please play music & watch T.V. with the volume set to an acceptable level with respect for neighbours. As many owners sleep with bedroom balcony doors open, please close up the main lounge balcony doors by 11.00 P.M in order to limit sound from your T.V. or music disturbing neighbours.
4b: If you arrive or depart on an Exchange Day, departures are asked to leave the apartment by midday on their day of departure.
5: On an Exchange Day, new arrivals are asked to wait until 5.00p.m. before entering the apartment to allow the apartment to be cleaned. We will notify you if your arrival or departure date becomes an Exchange Day.
6: If offers or enquiry dates cross over we take the first confirmed booking
7: Our apartment is NON SMOKING, Please do NOT smoke in or around our apartment.
8: No items are to be removed from the apartment ACCEPT Beach Towels supplied.
9: If more people than you have booked into the apartment, are found sleeping in the The Apartment by “Vuemont Security” or our Property Manager, 50% of your Security Deposit will automatically be forfeited. Our Property Manager does have the authority to have your extra people ejected.
10: Our Property Manager is in charge of our apartment whilst we (the owners) are not in Barbados.
11: You will be required to complete a BOOKING FORM that will be sent to you. If this BOOKING FORM is NOT completed & RETURNED TO US your booking will NOT be valid
12: We reserve the right to refuse bookings to anyone at any time for any reason.

The picture is of My wife Liz & myself Neale, I am afraid the picture was NOT taken at our apartment. We have 3 adult children 2 boys & 1 girl. Also we have 5 grandchildren 4 boys & 1 girl. We live in Moreton in Marsh in the Cotswold Hills of Gloucestershire England. We rent our apartment to help contribute towards it's running costs. We do not rent it out to make a profit.

My wife & I first went to Barbados with my sister-in-law & her husband. We were stopping in a place owned by a close relative. My wife & I just loved Barbados & wanted to return on a regular basis. I asked (Eddy) a local man who helped look after the place we were staying in, if he knew of anywhere for sale.
Eddy took me up to Vuemont where our apartment was the show room apartment. We immediately fell in love with it & the fantastic sea views. We bought the actual show room apartment.. Our apartment is situated on the Vuemont residential complex which has over 70 properties privately owned. Most of the properties are strictly private & are NOT rented as Holiday Properties.
We normally stay in our apartment for a period of time about twice a year. Each time we go to Barbados we like it even more, the people are so friendly. When we leave the apartment to return to the UK the locals say when are you coming home again.

We can only agree with all the wonderful comments below.
The apartment is set out of town off the highway and so a car is not optional (there is a v. steep ascent up to the complex). Supermarket at the bottom of the hill (2 min drive) is great value and very well stocked for anything you could need (we loved the coconut bread/cake!).
The apartment is wonderfully presented, kitchen fully equipped with everything you could EVER need, bedrooms/bathroom/showers great and finally the beautiful balcony with padded loungers/chairs.
The main pool area is a great place to relax during the day, so quiet with beautifully kept gardens. The clubhouse just 50 meters away is also a wonderful place to spend the afternoon/early evening taking in the view and watching the stunning sunset each day from the infinity pool/Jacuzzi.
The tennis courts and well equipped gym are also just 100 meters away.
A few distances for the adventurous:
- Drive to Speightstown ~10mins, plenty of places to shop and eat.
- Drive to Holetown ~15 mins, plenty of places to shop and eat.
- Drive to Paynes Bay ~20mins where you can snorkel with the turtles (just head for the catamarans/boats in the bay!)
- Drive to Oistins ~30 mins, a must for the Friday night fish fry (recommend Uncle George Fish Net Grill (get there early tho!) and Pats)
A wonderful place to unwind, spend lazy days in the and return to after a busy day.

We found the apartment to be very clean and well appointed. The Mount Brevitor area is ideal if like us you like the peace and quite of the countryside. A car is a must and, apart from the airport, most areas of the island can easily be reached in half an hour. On site there are tennis courts, a gym and three swimming pools. There is a supermarket at the end of the road so there is everything you need quite close to hand.
Neale and Liz were great from the moment we booked the apartment they shared all their knowledge of the Island giving us hints and tips and discounts on car hire etc which made our booking a pleasure.
The apartment is exactly as it looks in the photos, perhaps bigger than you may think. Everything was clean, tidy and well maintained.
We liked that it had all the little extras that you may normally need to buy such as lunch boxes and ice packs that are always handy for a day at the beach. It's just like staying at a friends house.
The apartment is located near a lovely beach called Mullins Beach that has a restaurant which we ate at often, althought it is over priced, all cafes/restaurants in Barbados are but you just have to be prepared. Our favourite beach was Paynes Bay which is 15min drive from the apartment where you can snorkel with the turtles.
We hired a car (which I would say is a must) and we went round the Island on a few occassions. I'd highly recommend driving around the East Coast its lush and tropical and completely different to the beachy West.
We went on the 'Jammin' catamaran and would say it was well worth a trip at any age. They have a slide off the back and floating lilo's and its a really fun day out. We also took the Cannon II deep sea fishing tour (4hrs) which was very rough but my boyfriend caught a 70IB Sailfish which was amazing.
If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful location and want to feel safe and secure, I would highly recommend Neale and Liz's apartment. It's very quiet and the pool and surrounding gardens are beautiful. You will need a car but personally I preferred being in the apartment than being stuck in a hotel resort. We didnt venture out in the evenings as it gets dark very quickly and the drivers are a bit dangerous, especially the yellow buses!
All in all, a great holiday and a fantastic apartment!

Vuemont is up the hill from Speightstown on the West Coast of Barbados. Just a short drive to the beach. We found the property so perfect we rarely needed a beach day. The four pools were usually empty, we were the only ones in the pool except for one day. The gym was well equipped. The security guards were wonderful the evening we arrived one showed us around, showing off the grounds and tennis courts with pride. This suite was comfortable and well appointed. There were more housewares and linens than we needed. Comfortable arm chairs on the deck and loungers were I could spend hours reading in the shade....and I did. A month was not long enough. We traversed the whole island exploring, and making friends. We were glad we had a car to get groceries, eat out, and see the sights. We had a wonderful time. We will return next year.
A wonderful 2 week stay in Barbados. The accomodation was exactly as described. It was very clean and fitted to a high specification. The resort was very quiet which meant that we were often the only people in one of the delightful pools.A perfect place to come back to at the end of the day. The resort was about a 5 minute drive from the coast and there was a supermarket only a couple of minutes away.
The owner, Neale, could not have been more helpful. My questions were always answered promptly and everything, including transfers and car hire, was put in place with the help of Neale before we left England.
During our stay we spent time on many of the wonderful beaches. both on the calm West side and enjoying the surf on the East side. I would recommend a trip on the catamaran 'Was not me' with Ron and his crew. We swam with turtles, snorkelled over a reef and ate lunch on board. We ate some gorgeous meals in some of the many restaurants within Speightstown and Holetown, including the Lone Star and Mangoes By the Sea.
I would strongly recommend this property to both friends and relatives wishing to stay in Barbados. As it provides a restful base away from the crowds. The hire of a car was straight forward and driving around Barbados was very easy.
We hope to return again soon!
Our trip started well with the friendly pick up from the airport provided by the owners' local representative. Vuemont is well named, it is on top of a hill with great views of the sea and the sunsets. The quiet well maintained development was a pleasant contrast to some of the other places we have stayed in Barbados where the traffic noise, the chickens and dogs were often disturbing.
The apartment was exactly as described and there was all we needed to cater for ourselves. The fish from the local markets is fantastic and so cheap compared to home. It would have been nice to have had a small table on the balcony to allow us to eat out in the tropical breezes overlooking the beautiful gardens. The balcony furniture was really comfortable and great for relaxing on when all you wanted to do was 'chill out'.
The local supermarket at the bottom of the hill provides all you need but the local vegetable shop on the way down the hill provides good value fresh veg and eggs. A car is essential as it is a long climb back up the hill, and you will need it to visit all the great beaches on the west coast.
It will be interesting to see how Vuemont develops when more of the accommodation is sold and in use. Hopefully we will be back next year.
Our self catering apartment in Barbados is situated on the Vuemont Residential complex which has 24 hour security via trained Security Guards. Our self catering apartment which has a panoramic sea view is within 50 meters of the large swimming pool & heated jacuzzi at Vuemont. Speightstown which is home to a brand new luxury marina development Port Ferdinand & Port St Charles is within about 2 miles of Vuemont.
There are excellent shops & restaurants in Speightstown, as well as an art gallery & some fine examples of original Barbados architecture. Speightstown is a seafront town, you can sit & have a drink & a meal watching the Caribbean sea lap up by your feet.
Barbados has some fantastic beaches and these gorgeous golden beaches for lazy long relaxing days are a very short drive away.
Mullins Beach is only a few minutes away, water sports, boat trips & beach bar are all available at Mullins Beach. Also St. Peter has some less well known beaches which are ideal to just swim, sit & relax, possibly having the whole beach to yourself
