Perfectly located, our unit is less than a few miles from the Beach, the Convention Center, The Grove, LA Farmers Market, Hollywood and Beverly Hills. A few blocks from Metro Train Center, Public Transportation is Easy!!
I dig my place!! And spent a lot of time and money making it a peaceful Urban Retreat. The bamboo garden is my favorite. I travel a lot and use VRBO regularly so when my tenant moved out, I thought why not!
John Wineland purchased this apartment in 2007
The neighborhood is mainly Vintage 1920'2 and 30's Spanish and Deco. Also, Its so easy to get virtually anywhere in town. Just jump on the 10 and your are in downtown, the beach or west la in minutes. Beverly Hills and Hollywood are around the corner!
Downtown too! Great restaurants and Cafes are a 5 minute walk. So this area makes living and seeing LA very easy!
Great Porch Garden and Meditation/breakfast/work area! So close to The Grove and Historic Farmers Market, Hollywood, the Downtown and Venice and Santa Monica.
Lots of ocean breezes sunlight!
I had the pleasure of staying at the treehouse when my daughter and I moved to LA for her school and we needed a temporary place to stay while we learned about the area. We originally planned for 5 weeks, but enjoyed the home so much that we extended it 2 more!
I highly recommend this charming little home for anyone visiting LA. It is on the small side, but cozy, and plenty of room for a couple. It has everything any traveler would need...wonderfully soft linens, the bed was really comfortable, great water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower, a full kitchen to enjoy if you decide to cook meals at home, cable tv and awesome wifi service.
Also, John allows guests to openly use the large office space downstairs with computer, printing and fax. It also has a large washer/dryer.
I would have to say that the absolute best part about this place is the landscaped outdoor environments. These are extra rooms in themselves. Greenery and beautiful flowers surround you, and the little porch with the rising sun kissing your face in the morning is the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of joe.
The beautiful outdoor living room is surrounded by bamboo and has a firepit which we enjoyed in the evenings. It's just something you can't find in a hotel.
Location, very central...awesome!! We were within a short drive to the beach, local grocery stores, and Hollywood. I never had any problem with safety there. Parked my car in the overflow lot right by the house for 6 weeks with no problem. Its a safe block.
John is so nice and easy going. He always offered whatever help and tips on the area that we needed. His assistant Lindsay was outstanding. She responded to anything that we needed within minutes. Fantastic service!
I am sad to leave this place and would absolutely stay here again if I ever get the opportunity! Thank you John and Lindsay for making our landing in LA a comforting one!!
What a fabulous hideaway! John was super gracious about letting me book last minute and the "treehouse" surpassed all of my expectations! Quiet and secluded and squeaky clean, just the way I like it with a super nice kitchen, a delight to this home cook. And great restaurants close and convenient with all price ranges not to mention the Farmers Market! It really was the experience of being up in the trees. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Los Angeles, the location is central to everything! Thanks Treehouse! x
My reservation was cancelled at the last minute as this apartment is no longer being offered on Homeaway.
We had a wonderful two-week stay and found the place to be very charming, in a quiet location at the end of a street, at a great location near Culver City. Really enjoyed the upstairs porch and its constant cool breeze, and the free use of a washer and dryer right on the premises.
Had a wonderful week long stay at the tree house. It was very cute and quaint. Close enough to everything you want to do. We really enjoyed some great food at susinas bakery and Isa sushi during our trip. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again!
We travelled from the other side of the world and this place made L.A. feel like home.
The apartment was very clean and cozy. Big enough for two person.
The instructions how to get around (to buy groceries for instance) were very helpful and a nice touch.
The location was perfect and the neighborhood was very quiet.
If we are ever coming back this will be our place!! We highly recommend the Treehouse for anyone visiting the amazing city of Los Angeles!!!!
Finland thanks You!!!
Very comfortable, clean, cozy apt -- within walking distance of great restaurants and shops! Neighborhood is clean and safe. Loved the outdoor patio area w/fire pit! Easily accessible to other L.A. neighborhoods.
Must check out Local Farmers Markets, and Larchmont Village. Venice and Santa Monica Beaches are minutes away!
