Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Port Orange - Memory Maker

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms With Private Deck Overlooking The Atlantic

This cozy beach house is located on the ocean in the heart of Wilbur-by-the-Sea, a quiet community situated in the 'no drive' section of the beach. There are two full-sized bedrooms, one small bedroom off one master, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and dining area and a large living room. The floors are hardwood and the house is well appointed with comfortable furnishings. There is plenty of closet space for storage and a washer/dryer in the 3rd smaller bedroom closet. Outside there is a large deck which overlooks the dunes and a private pathway that leads down to the sugar sand beach. There is an outdoor shower, one enclosed garage space and ample parking along the side where you could park a boat, trailer, or RV. Enjoy beautiful unobstructed views, clean air, and long walks on the beach while living minutes away from Daytona Beach city limits and 10 minutes away from shopping, restaurants, and schools.

Why Steven Simpson chose Florida Central Atlantic Coast

Our paternal grandparents, Nana and Ba-Pop, from Mt. Dora, Fl. purchased the white, pink trimmed house just North of 4043 in the early 50's as a summer home. In the mid-seventies our parents purchased the property adjacent to our grandparents' home which included the larger residence to the Southt and 4043 which was used as a cottage house. Five generations of family including 7 grand-children, 15 great-grandchildren,and 3 great-great grandchildren occupied the 3 homes on approximately 300 feet of beachfront property in Wilber-by-the-Sea since its beginning. It has been a place of sand and salt; a treasure chest full of long sunny days, waves, laughter, love, family, friends, and memories. It is truly the most beautiful ocean, and it will capture your heart and hold it tight forever. Discover its enduring secrets and enjoy your time, as days go quickly on its shores. May God bless your stay. Steve and Teresa

Beautiful get-away from winter

  • 5 of 5

We are a retired couple from New Jersey, who love to escape the winter cold and spend a month in Florida. We have never stayed in any house ocean front before and this was a wonderful experience. To sit on the deck with our morning coffee, reading the paper and to look and listen to the ocean was a highlight of the day. Even to sit inside at the dinner table you could look at the ocean out the big window. There are also big windows from the living room and main bedroom where the ocean view is fantastic. the beach is just steps away, where we took wonderful walks. Everything you need is in the house and we felt at home cooking many of our meals there. The owners Steve and Terry and the manager Janis could not have been more friendly, prompt in responding and accommodating, a pleasure to deal with. This was their family house growing up and several of the family antique furniture is at the house.

The only draw back coming in March, was during bike week for ten days, hearing the loud noise from the bikes driving up and down A1A. The ponce inlet and the lighthouse is only a few miles down A1A and Daytona a few miles north. Port Orange over the bridge on the mainland has all the shops you need. There are also many veterinary clinics in the area if you need to visit one, which we did with our little dog. As far as restaurants in the area, we liked Aunt Catfish on the River the best. We visited our friends in New Smyrna Beach often and that is a wonderful beach town on a smaller scale than Daytona and Port Orange. Every second Saturday of the month there is a classic car show on Canal Street with "oldies" music playing. Many good restaurants there too, only a 25 min ride from the house. Health questions decide whether we can come back again, but it was a wonderful stay for this year. Thank you again Steve, Terry and Janis.

It just doesn't get better than this!

We loved our time at the cottage! This beach bungalow gives you an intimate experience of beach life living without sharing it with hundreds of others like you do in a large condo. We've stayed in both and this is MUCH nicer. Wake up in the morning and take your coffee on the deck. Walk down the steps and you're right on the beach! We collected shells, found starfish, and sand dollars! Every walk was a treasure hunt! Plus, you can walk down to Crabby Joe's for a meal or there are many waterfront restaurants all within just a few miles. Most of them with live entertainment. The house was very clean and felt like "home" in a warm and welcoming way. It's large enough for a good size family but we enjoyed it with just the two of us (and our dog). The kitchen is well equipped and there is a grill on the deck. Plus, the owners are as nice as can be and respond to any requests quickly! You just can't beat this experience. We will be back!!!

The perfect beach experience

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful vacation in Port Orange, and Casa de Wilbur was at the center of it. Our school age kids could zip off the deck to the beach and we could watch them from the deck with pelicans wheeling over us. No road to cross & no cars on the beach in Wilbur. The house was plenty big for our party of six . It was very clean and neat as a pin. The hosts were accommodations and welcoming. If you want the real Atlantic coast beach bungalow feel, this is it. Local seafood was great, lots for older kids up in Daytonia (15"). St Augustine was maybe an hour away for a great day trip with history and shopping.

Already making plans for our next trip.

Excellent beach house escape!

  • 5 of 5

When I first came across this beach bungalow on VRBO, I really thought i

Was exactly what we were looking for. (A relaxing quiet mini vacation)

From the time I inquired to the date we left, everyone that we corresponded with was very very nice. The house was perfect! We enjoyed our time there so much. We had coffee sitting outside each morning and walked the beach. At night the sound of waves was so relaxing with a glass of wine! We can't wait to go back again this summer!!! Our dog Rossi loved it too! :)

A little piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Breathtaking view of this oceanfront home! Very welcoming and clean! We very much enjoyed our stay with our children. Everyone in the area is very friendly. Shops and restaurants are close by. The weather couldn't have been more perfect! Sunrise was amazing with a view right from your bedroom window or private porch off back.

Management was very accommodating.

Would definitely stay here again!

Wilbur-by-the-Sea is a quiet beachside neighborhood situated on the peninsula which spans between the Atlantic Ocean and the Halifax River/Intercoastal Waterway. A few miles to the south down A1A is the famous Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and the North Turn Restaurant and Bar, named for the first site of the original site of the stock car race track on world famous Daytona Beach. All driving on the beach in Wilbur-by-the-Sea has been prohibited which makes for wide stretches of warm, sugar-sand beaches. While this rental is tranquil and private, minutes drive to the north are great restaurants, live music dance clubs, interesting shops and a host of delightful beachside attractions for ages young and old.
