This is a year-round completely renovated chalet style home located on private Mockingbird Lane in Bridgton, minutes to Shawnee Peak and Moose Pond. This property offers a breathtaking mountain view of Shawnee Peak looking directly at the East Side Ski Slope. Completely renovated in 2013, this cozy home is designed for comfort and spending time with family and friends. This house boast's a renovated kitchen, reading loft, and a wall of windows looking into the mountains that provides a real Maine getaway feel.

Bridgton is a lovely small town less than a hour from Portland and 1/2 hour to North Conway, NH with all the amenities you need for a great vacation. A short drive features local restaurants, pubs, shopping, and recreation. This home is just minutes away from grocery stores, hospital, and drug stores just in case you forget anything you need.

This house is truly designed and located for enjoyment throughout the year. There are two bedrooms each with king size beds on the main floor with a full bath. Upstairs holds a large bedroom/bunk room 3/4 bath and loft with 1 Queen bed, 3 double beds s and 1 queen futon total. The main floor with 18 foot vaulted ceilings houses windows everywhere looking into the mountain for a great morning view.

During the summer, lake living is the focus. The house has deeded beach rights to Alpine Village Beach on Moose Pond, which has exceptional water quality, is 7 miles long and is great for all kinds of boating, from sailboats to powerboats to canoes and kayaks. There are lots of options for hikes in the area as well, and big hikes in the White Mountains are a short drive or a short scenic hike at Jockey cap mountain a few miles away. In addition, the attractions in North Conway, Jackson, and Pinkham Notch are close by.

In the fall, the legendary New England colors are the big attraction. With a beautiful lake framed by the mountains, this is a wonderful place to experience one of nature’s greatest displays.

In the winter, the most popular activities are skiing at Shawnee Peak or Sunday River. Shawnee Peak offers tremendous terrain with impressive night skiing at some of the most affordable prices in New England. Sunday River is one of the premier destination ski resorts in the East. There are also lots of options for other snow sports, with cross-country skiing and an extensive network of snowmobiling trails nearby. To fight the winter chill, come home to a cozy fire in the gorgeous gas fired fireplace.

Perfect ski vacation lodge

Property is great - love all the space for people to spread out. The view is fantastic and the home has easy access to Shawnee Peak and local restaurants. Well equipped home, and the owner was super helpful and accommodating. We'll be back.

Fall Getaway

We loved everything about the Chalet. The fall views were beautiful and the house worked well for our group - two families with young kids. The kitchen was fully equipped and there were plenty of games to play. The house is very comfortable with space to spread out. The owner, Scott, was very helpful and quick to respond. We'd love to come back in any season!

Comfortable and family-friendly.

The house was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for our group of 10, which included kids ages 6-12. The owner was extremely helpful and made sure we had all information needed for the property. We enjoyed skiing at both Sunday River and Pleasant Mountain. It was a great spot for our crew.

Sparkling Clean Chalet with AMAZING views!

We had the great luxury of renting the Gustafson's chalet for a week between Christmas and the New Year for our family of 5. The mountain views are breathtaking and so relaxing. It's a little bit like being in a tree house with the full wall of glass and the beautful vista. The pics don't do it justice. The chalet is private, comfortable & extremely well appointed. They thought of everything to make it ultra comfortable - great pillows, blankets, mattresses and towels and we enjoyed using the Belgian waffle maker! The layout was perfect for our family. Our teen daughter and my husband and I stayed in the 2 king bedrooms on the main level and shared the bright, sunny and large bath. Our young adult sons had the entire upstairs to themselves. The communication with the owners was thorough and extremely helpful, I truly felt they had thought of all the possible questions we may have had. It was a 5 minute drive to Pleasant Mountain where we skied and 10 minutes to downtown Bridgton which offers some fun dining options. We were already very familiar with the area but the hosts left alot of good information on local attractions. We know many of the nearby hiking trails, excellent all year round. We are planning a repeat visit. 5 Star Chalet!

A very nice home in a quiet spot

We were all very happy with our stay here. The house is laid out perfectly with the bedrooms away from the rest of the activity. We went with our company Ridge Hemp while we were at the Fryeburg Fair. It was an easy drive back and forth and we really appreciated the quiet neighborhood! Thank you!
