Wouldn’t recommend to anyone to stay here!
This place just had a bad vibe walking in. Like other reviews the road to get to the front door was a jungle. I would not recommend this unit to anyone that doesn’t like 8 legged crawlers to be living right there with ya! We checked in at 3 pm and were out of there by 9 pm (we did not stay 1 night out of the 3 we were suppose to be there) within that time we killed 7 wolf spiders (quarter size spiders) that were crawling up from the floor boards. Not to mention there were no mattress pads on the bed (?), the kitchen rag was still damp and it smelt sour, and some corners of the house had cob webs with dead bugs in them. Just not a cozy place to call home away from home. Please don’t put your family through what we had to go through walking into this unit. If this is your thing and want to have a cheap place to stay be my guest.
Clean, large, noisy upstairs, NO coffee
Easy and fast to book, easy to find. Just not sure why they don't have or allow a coffee pot?
Economy apartment with decent basics.
Positives- price, decent pots, kitchen knives, good water pressure with plenty of hot water. Decent beds. Washer and dryer.
Negatives- steep steps down with no light at the side of the house. Difficult in the dark. TV was supposed to be hooked up to WiFi, was not. Mentioned this to the owner a couple of days into my stay and nothing was done. I was without tv for 4 weeks. If upstairs guests are noisy, it can be a problem. I purchase some spoons, pitcher, dish towel and bowl for the kitchen. I hope they remain there. The coffee maker and pitcher previous guests left disappeared.
Weeds in the back yard need to be cut down. Many are 4-5 feet tall.
Over all, though, a good deal for the money. A few inexpensive extras could really make a difference.
Clean, safe, and quiet but lacking
First the good. The price, hard to beat for a 2 bedroom apartment. It was small but cozy, nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Nice water pressure. The owner was courteous and helpful.
I think this was one of the first rentals though. It lacked the extra touches experienced owners include
The bad: the entrance is on the back of the house, accessed over loose rock and down a STEEP set of steps. Not an easy trip from driveway with multiple heavy suitcases. You can't roll them in the loose rock.
There was no option for controlling the temperature. That was apparently set in the main house. It got warm.
The people upstairs were loud, and up all night long. Very disruptive.
There was no ice maker, not even ice cube trays and I couldn't believe there was no coffee maker. Not even a container that one could make ice tea in.
For some reason there was only one spoon. Seems petty, I know , until you have to share a spoon with 3 other people.
The TV lost internet and we could not get it to reconnect. I'm very tech savy, still wouldn't connect. WiFi was working though so we used our laptops.
The lack of dressers was disappointing. They was no place to put our clothes.
We were only there 2 nights. And we bought a coffee maker, ice cube trays and a tea jug and left them there for future visitors to enjoy.
I would probably stay there again, though, if the price stayed that low and I wasn't staying long but I'd hope it still had the coffee maker
The apartment was very functional. Nothing fancy but clean and the beds were comfortable. Central location to Powers corridor with access to many restaurants, grocery stores, Target, Wal-mart and a movie theater. Stephanie was very easy to work with and responded to my emails very quickly! Will recommend to family and friends visiting the area.
